    Chase....am I the only one noticing the new filter on your helmet cam? Tbh, it's hard on the eyes. Especially looking at the tips of the mirrors. I hope you can change this. AWESOME video, like always!

    Hey chase! I’ve been watching your content for a few years now and you inspired me to pick up a bike! I am now the proud owner of a 2020 Kawasaki Versys X-300 and it’s been so much fun. In 2 and a half weeks I’ve already put almost 800 miles on her and it’s been the best 800 miles I’ve ever driven. Yea I get run down by a 636 at a quarter throttle going 100 mph but I don’t care. It doesn’t matter what people say about getting tired of a 300-450cc bike, motorcycles are fun at 100, 45, 20mph and everything in between. I enjoy my bike everywhere from the street to the dirt. I met a lot of people too and I’ve got a riding group of 300s, 400s, 600s, 636, 675, a 1390 and a 1441 (ZX14R). We just enjoy riding together. Also, 60-70 mpg is nice too. 😅 Thanks Chase!

      Fun has 0 to do with the size of the bike. I rented the little versys 300 when I went to Greece for a week and it was the most fun I ever had.

    OC: My 450NK had a lot of throttle play too and I adjusted the cables to get it where I wanted. Definitely makes a difference! I’ve had it for about a month and a half and it has 1100 miles on it and I absolutely love it!

    a flashed Electronic Control Unit tends to smooth out the power as they're optimizing for power not fuel efficiency and pollutants. if you examine the graphs if stock vs flashed, the places the stock flattens is where it would otherwise be pumping out to much smog.

    The highest return on modification investment anyone can do to a relatively modern motorcycle is an ECU flash from a reputable company/tuner.
    Whenever I buy a new motorcycle I pull the bread box, pull the ECU, install an exhaust system if needed, and wait for that wonderful ECU to come back in the mail.
    My two most recent bikes are an MT-09(gen 3) and an MT-10(gen 2). I had the flashed 9, swapped for the stock 10(for one ride, home to pull the ECU), that ride home SUCKED. I missed my 09.
    Currently on the flashed 10. It’s wonderful and have no regrets.

      Yeah a lot of stock bikes have pretty big mid range dips from the factory. The power is so much more linear and smooth after a flash. Totally worth the money

    For CFMOTO, the right question should be after a ECU flash is: "Is it realiable after the update?"

      Mine has ~6,200 miles and has been tuned for the last 1,500ish. I have had zero problems whatsoever and the only things I’ve had to do so far has all been maintenance. I love mine and have no plans on getting rid of it anytime soon

    What happens with the warranty when u flash the ecu

  • @thisisabsolutelystup
    @thisisabsolutelystup 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Aftermarket ECU flashes dont have to meet emission specs
    Of course that will change the power delivery.
    Unfortunately it invalidates your warranty, which here in the EU is 4 years and on a Chinese bike... I'll take the warranty.
    Written a by a cfmoto 650 owner, btw.

    Yes, for a $4k bike, I'm not going to pay $400 just for a tune.
    I thought $200 is already a lot for a tune.
    The right price for a tune should be $50 if you're local, and $120 which includes shipping and handling. Not paying 3.5x over base price.
    For that price, I could buy myself a laptop and manually tune it myself.

    • @Tinker3504
      @Tinker3504 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yet folks pay 500-1000 for an exhaust that leans the bike out further and reduces power 😂
      You have a dyno and the software license already? You are a few grand short on your estimates.

      @Tinker3504 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ProDigit80 if you’re capable of cracking woolich(or similar), you wouldn’t have made the above comment. If you had or were capable of purchasing something like a dynojet 200i, you also wouldn’t be taking the time to respond.
      You don’t “tune” a motorcycle with a USB-C cable and your thinkpad lol.
      But nothing is stopping you from offering $120 ECU flashing services. Please(and I legitimately mean this), do start offering this service.

      @@ra6298 KTM makes goofy dirt bikes. Even their road bikes look like dirt bikes, so they're not exactly to my taste, but they've proven themselves to be well made. Not sure how that relates as Austria isn't China, who is known to cut corners like crazy.

      Ok mate you do you. No one is forcing you to ride one.
      Maybe reserve judgement until there's a few with 20k+ miles clocked up though. Chinese manufactured does not automatically mean bad. So so much is made in China - like most phones sold.
