If we want to add more leds, do you know what type to choose ? there are different voltages (3V, 5V, 12V...) and shapes, what about the original ones ?
Hi tristan. It has been soooo long since we did this review. Im now using Unilight on my models. Check out my hangar9 twinotter with unilights. Better system and much more scale😊
Hello, I just installed the lights and hooked up the aux channel to channel 5 of the futaba receiver. I use 5V battery for my receiver. I assigned channel 5 to switch F of my Futaba transmitter. I was able to program the ight controller by switching switch F. But after certain time my receiver brokes up. No signal was transmitted anymore. My reciver only passes the current but no signals on the outputs. I tried another one and after couple of minutes I had exactly the same problem. So I broke 2 receivers ! I can not understand how this is possible. Can someone help me please ?
I just finished installing them in my Apprentice. I switched out all wiring to magnet wire. Making the channels for the wire is simple as an exacto knife. I used a drill for the led. I only have one roll of magnet wire (red) so I use a black permanent marker and drag mabe a foot of the wire over the marker so I know what is negative and what is positive. The wire they supply is too bulky.I changed the tail led from a 5mm to a 3mm. there is no difference in brightness. I used a plastic straw superglued to the tail to hold the led. I used clear tape to hold down the wiring on the tail only. The inclosed instructions do not show where the red led is supposed to go. I put mine in the back, behind the battery door. I could have put it up front but decided not to. I like it better in the back.
Hey, I want to wire a rc truck completely with running lights on all the time and then I want to flip a 3 position switch and have light buckets like kc lights on a real truck and then all the lights on. I also might wire a trailer with lights and pull it with this truck. On the switch I want to be able to turn them off, running lights, all lights.
Good work sir! May I just ask if im planning to use this lighting set up for an architectural model, can i fore go the transmitter/receiver unit and connect the led hub to a battery source?
I bought this kit from Motion Rc for $14.95 Their service is The BEST ! .No problems whatsoever,I have made several purchases from them in the past 6 months,The majority of their stuff is better priced than most.even if it's $5.00 more it's worth not having a hassle. I live in a small town in Northern Ontario Canada and delivery is made in 5 days every single time. Y harnesses in the local hobby shop are $11.79 at Motion Rc they are better quality and only $1.89 even with the exchange rate I have saved hundreds of dollars with them. And as I said their service is The BEST.
good lights, I have put in two planes. says they fit 60 size plane, WRONG! have to extend wingtip wires for even a 40 size plane. very small wire, PAIN IN THE ASS TO STRIP AND SOLDER. but absolutely awesome light set other than that.
Great demo and review of the light
Terrific information on lighting, thanks for posting it!

You put the rear beacon light on the right wing and vice versa.
Old video and only for showing the lights. People do decide how they wanna set them up. 😊
the tail led correspond to the right wing, and the right wing in the tail, check the video

To this what you use lipo battery cell?
2s or 3s ?
It runs out of your receiver so it doesnt matter. 😊
very nice great light setup !!!
What about gun lights for the MotionRC P-38?
I mean different brightness, on a 3 position switch I want it to be running lights, off, and all lights including 2 offroad lights
But that was exactly the lights that I was looking for

Nope
Hi. Can it be connected to a RX feeded by a LiFe battery. I mean, can it support 6.6 volts... or maximum 6 volts?
