The only other power cord that comes with the camera is the plug-in for the cigarette lighter. If you could find a way to run the wire from the camera to wherever you'd plug it in, I suppose you could hide the wires that way without needing to buy the hardwire kit...
So since the camera turns off when the car shuts off. Does it stop recording ? Will it start recording automatically if someone hits your car while parked or does it just completely just stop recording ?
@@brianapel8404hard wire it to a live fuse it will still shut off but will continue to record 24/ 7 ,if just the front camera it will record for 4 hours and the loop and start again, if front and rear camera is on it will loop after every 2 hours
You definitely DO NOT want to run the wire through the A pillar without securing it to other harnesses in the pillar, using cable-ties. Just tucking behind the pillar cover risks the cable interfering with proper operation of the airbag. Take the A pillar cover off and do it right.
That was my thought too when he discussed pushing the cable into the pillar. Last thing you want to be thinking when someone hits you in your front driver's side is "Well, my airbag might not release properly to save me, but at least I'll have it all on video!"
Great video cheers just installed myself with the hardwire kit 😊
Glad I could help!
How can I see the videos from the back camera
When you plug in your camera to your computer and download the files, you will see them
What about the back one?
Will the park feature work. Where the camera turns on if it detects motion if you tap into one that only works when the car is on?
Does the camera tell me once the SD card has no more space?
No, it just re-records over the oldest videos.
Do you need the Hardwire kit or can you manage to hide wires and do without?

Did you end up moving the cable behind the A pillar airbag? I have a 2013 model I’m looking to install a dash cam on
Yep. Piece of cake

Stops altogether. If someone hits me while my car is parked and off, I will not have any record of it.
@@brianapel8404there is a way to make it record the second you are hit whilst parking. Please ignore this creator’s misinformation.

How long does it record? I saw an option 1 min 2 min and 3 min. Is that all its allowed to record?
As long as the size of your microSD card
