  • Know the milestones for USMLE, but confused about how much time needs to be allocated to each in order to achieve them ?
    In this video, I share the milestone that you need as an IMG to get through the USMLE process. I also discuss the amount of time that needs to be allocated to each milestone, based on a survey. 'The IMG Usmle Timeline', which was taken up by medicals students, graduates and residents.
    Although we know a little about these milestones ie the BIGSHOTS, there are some critical milestones, the UNDERDOGS, which go unnoticed by most IMGs while initially planning their timeline. And that's why it becomes vital to incorporate them into our timeline from the get go!

    Divya, this is genuinely the most comprehensive list of requirements for the USMLE that I've come across on the internet. Thank you!
    The underdogs were definitely the heroes in this one (I'm sure most people learn about them much later than they would have liked to).
    Great job! And thanks once again.

    I’ve no words to explain how overwhelmed I’m by all these milestones right now, but I am also so so so grateful to you, I had to come to terms with all these sooner or later, and its just my first year in med school so it might feel like a lot (honestly it is a lot) but I can start with volunteering work and build my way up. Hello...I had a doubt regarding mspe.....do indian medical school marks matter for an img to match into a program???Can an img with average college marks match into a program??

    • @DivyaSharma_KeepingitReal
      @DivyaSharma_KeepingitReal  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! The college transcripts are a part of your CV. Any awards/Honors/Gold medal you get during your medical school adds value to your cv. Its always a good option to give your best. To answer your second question, they view the applicant as a whole and you can improve the other parts of your application if your medical school marks are average.
