  • This is a walkthrough or explaination of the setup menu of the Denon AVR-S750H. I have a A/V Receiver Basic review of Settings that I would recommend to watch first.
    There are a lot settings and if you are new or advanced you may not know what all the setting are for.
    Hope this helps.

    ARC - is about passing audio from a TV back to the AV receiver so you can get things like audio from built on smart tv apps without using an additional table like optical.

    Since you had subwoofer u should set all your speakers to small not large. Let your subwoofer handle LFE

      Correct but if no cracking in the small speakers put in on big so get all out of your speakers around you also the center on big

    hello, I will have Chromecast connected to AVR and AVR connected to TV through ARC. I also have optical out from TV to a mixer than back to AVR. Now the question is what setting shall I have on the AVR in order to automatically switch between HDMI ARC and optical in a easy way. What I want in the end is to have sound coming directly through arc when watching movies and through optical when singing karaoke without have two go into settings all the time. Thank you

    • @sugarey
      @sugarey  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So you have optical/fiber cable to audio mixer then what type of connection to AVR? Is it optical? I’d make sure you match the AVR settings to the right input.
      Typically it will auto sense the source.
      Have you powered everything off then turn the karaoke on to test?

      @sugarey  ปีที่แล้ว

      If your setup is content source > AV > AV out to TV via ARC/eARC - No you don’t need both. Let me know if you need more details.

    Hi there
    Do I have to connect this receiver to a tv in order to set it up? I’m not using it as a audio video device. Only using this as a audio device for a whole home audio device. My home has 7 zones with 2 speakers each.

      You can use the IP of the AV from your computer browser. Sorry delayed I just moved. Let me know if you still need help.

    Hey again, i have a denon 2300w receiver and a panasonic 820 4k player and a samsung 900b. What is the best way to connect all three to get lossless audio through my speakers and 4k to my tv, i know the 820 has two hdmi outputs one is audio and one is video , would i connect hdmi audio out to receiver and the hdmi video out straight to tv or would i use the passthough on the receiver with one hdmi cable to receiver, or is there another way. Any help would be great. Thanks again...Phil

    Hi,
    When I pressed setup button on a Denon receiver remote, I didn’t see a menu showing on the TV. I just saw it on the receiver. What can I do to be able to see the menu on a TV? Thanks.

      Couple of things. To check
      1) AV is powered on
      2) Do you have the HDMI cable “out” of AV in a ARC/eARC input of the TV. Then input of TV set to where you have the AV input plugged in the TV?
      3) Double check all HDMI cables are working + some are directional and have arrows of input/output

      The basics is to connect the surround speakers to the labeled back of the AV. Restart the auto setup.

    very nicely explained for a beginner. I have one question: after setting up 5.1 surround, I noticed that in the info screen of the remote, it only shows left & right front speakers as active. The front center & rear left & right speakers are not in "active" mode. Wonder why? Audio test shows all speakers have sound. How do I fix this problem, any suggestions?

    • @SuperSteamengine
      @SuperSteamengine ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its not a problem. i think its the signal from your source. if its a stereo / pcm

      A test is a test nothing more ...... Only when all is on in the menu then there is 5.1.

    Hi Rey, I also have a question,
    recently purchased this unit the AVR s750H after setup my system clips out with a loud sound on the speakers. I tried resetting to factory default and it worked for the night but the next day once I turned it on it clipped again after 15 seconds.....it does it at intervals and its very frustrating. Can you explain why it does this ;......is it my speakers, I have mix up of speakers from a JBL sub to Polk audio center to Definity Tech Pro cinema speakers. I verified my wiring 5 times all look good.

    • @sugarey
      @sugarey  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have you checked to make sure the wires are correct? As in the polarity. +/-

    Hello. I have the Denon X250BT amp with 5.1 speakers. I am trying to do a factory reset but on my amp but it just says INITIALIZED and thats it. The reason i want to reset is because the Home theater installation technician, during the initial setup, set the 2 front tower speakers to a different bass and treble setting individually and it just sounds bad. Am not sure whether the amp has some kind of secret menu or service menu to enter and make these changes. Was wondering if you have a solution for this and could please help out. Thank you.

    I can’t get my on screen display and have no idea why. Any clue on how to get it to display on the tv? I have video and audio and I’m using the arc.
    Kind of figured it out. My receiver is on hdmi 1 arc and my Apple TV is on hdmi2 which is what we use for our main tv viewing. For some reason I had to back out of the Apple TV and go into my blu ray hdmi 3 on the tv to see my menu. Anyone have any idea why?

    • @sugarey
      @sugarey  ปีที่แล้ว

      I typically use the AV “HDMI out” into the TV ARC. Set the TV input for that ARC. Then I connect all my sources direct to the AV (HDMI 1=AppleTV / HDMI=Cable). The AV can auto-detect which source you’re using.
