  • Watch this limited-time replay hosted by Dr. Morgan Nolte about how to get your fasting blood sugar under 100 to prevent or reverse prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. We intended to take this training down on June 10th but it was so popular we are keeping it up! To take our Insulin Resistance Diet Starter Course and get our Recipe Bank with over 80 low insulin recipes for FREE, go to www.zivli.com/offers/moLvqsG2.
    This Training is for Your If You're a Post-Menopausal Woman Who:
    ✓ Has fasting blood sugars over 100 mg/dL, or an A1c over 5.6%.
    ✓ Has 3-6 months to lower your blood sugar or you'll have to start medications.
    ✓ Is already on medications like metformin or Januvia but you don't know how to get off them.
    ✓ Needs more specific guidance about what to eat to lower blood sugars.
    ✓ Feels like you don't have an "off switch" for carbs. Once you start eating them it's hard to stop.
    💡What You'll Learn:
    ✓ Why insulin resistance is the root cause of high blood sugar levels - and what to do about it!
    ✓ How the 3 macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, and fats) affect blood sugar differently.
    ✓ 3 simple and easy nutrition steps to start lowering your blood sugars right away.

    Dr. Nolte, I have watched allot of videos since being diagnosed with pre-diabetes with a 5.7 A1C1. This by far has been my favorite video on this subject. Thank you for everything you do and by keeping us informed on the subject of diabetes and especially ways to reverse it. Also a big thank you for keeping this video up. I plan on re-watching it many times as a refresher as I work to reduce my A1C1.

    I love that you're breaking down Weight Watchers because a lot of their program seems ridiculous to me. I've been doing Weight Watchers with my wife for a couple of months but I do not understand why my half of avocado is for daily points and yet many other foods that are metabolically more impactful in terms of weight gain are 0 Point Foods. I have opted to put my avocado on my taco bowls along with my black olives which also cost ww points and I feel Fuller and I'm actually losing weight and maintaining muscle

    I relate to number 8 and have been low to no carb for 10 months. At age 66 I only found out I was prediabetic/IR 8 months into the diet. Have been tracking and graphing daily glucose reading, progress is very slow but some is being made. This week I am employing HIT and am about to start 2nd 2 day fast. Also it is rare I get into ketosis and urine had mostly been dark until recently it has begun to clear. Daily avg. glucose over last 2.5 months has been 116 and 2.5 months ago HBA1C was 5.9. I take no drugs Rx or OTC. Extreme sleep issues and fatigue. Will retest soon

BS was going up and they wanted to increase meds etc. I decided to go low carb, then Keto 3 years ago. off meds lost 70 lbs, lowered bp meds, but can't get the the high morning bs down. I eat under 20 carbs a week. if I fast I lose more weight. I am 76 5 ft 2 and 122 lbs A1c 5.2. I need 100-110 protein per day and eat 2 meals most days, during my eating window.

    Hi Dr. Nolte. I just did your ideal body weight calculation and I think that it might be flawed like the BMI calculation is. I am male 6'4", 230 lbs and wear 36" waist pants. I am not overly athletic but considered in decent shape. There have been times when I have dieted down to close to 220 lbs and people remark that I look "thin". According to your calculation I would need to be at 202 lbs to be ideal. Clearly build and muscle content can skew these numbers. I would really like to know what "my ideal weight" would be. I believe that 202 lbs would actually be an unhealthy weight for me.

    • @drmorgannolte
      @drmorgannolte  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Yes this ideal body weight calculation is certainly an "estimate" and is person specific based on their body type. I wouldn't focus on the "weight" part of this equation as much as it's utilization for a daily protein target. The other way you could estimate is to look at a BMI chart and find a weight in the green zone for your protein target. But this is actually pretty similar to the calculation I provided for your height.

    • @Casey-rr7th
      @Casey-rr7th 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@drmorgannolte Thank you for that clarification. I (along with most people) struggle with how to consume (in my case) over 200 gms of protein per day consistently. BTW, fantastic and comprehensive video. Thanks for the highest quality content.

    I have a question. I am pre-diabetic my entire family all the way from grandparents down are diabetics.
    But every time I get my A1C done it's about 5.9 But I noticed that my eye was starting to go blurry. So I went to an ophthalmologist and he said that I have diabetic vein. And he wants to put a shot in my eye every month. Can't I fix this with just diet?
