    Yesterday morning I heard on the radio, LA’s number 1 party station Mega 96.3, they said “Rememebr everyone, eat your veggies first, then protein, then carbs.” Thank you Jessie for getting the word out to California. With 53 million people. And it has a huge community of latins which are more prone to diabetes. All my family has it. Not me and I do these hacks and my A1C is in normal range now 5.2, my goal is to get it even lower! Thank you GG 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

    I’m a registered dietitian and for a long time have been battling my blood sugar. These hacks work! The vinegar is the bomb! The great part is that you see results very quickly and for myself and patients being able to see results right away is very motivating. Waiting three months for blood work to know if something works or not stinks!!! This is awesome, it is the first time my blood sugars have been well below 100 overnight ever!! My patients revive your hacks when they come in for nutrition counseling!!!

    • @carolineyunker9
      @carolineyunker9 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      @@baccaratfitness2360 Not exactly. She provides "hacks" so we can continue to eat processed food. I think those hacks work for the relatively young and healthy people who are not diabetic. But the hacks are not as effective for people who are already diabetic. Those people need to more than drink vinegar or walk 10 minutes after eating.

    • @baccaratfitness2360
      @baccaratfitness2360 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +22

      @@carolineyunker9 I think most everyone knows they shouldn’t be eating processed or sugary foods already. Her approach lowers the temperature and allows for some flexibility because most of us are so addicted that we tend to see things as absolute and more than often fail in our attempts to eat perfectly. If one can do these hacks and get some momentum and confidence it makes eliminating the processed foods more achievable.

      @@carolineyunker9 well you are absolutely wrong about that many many diabetics credit her with changing their lives and putting them into remission so you just happen to be completely wrong on that score. Moreover it's much easier and more effective this way, It's just true. If you eat the standard American diet you aren't going to consider switching, you have no idea how. This provides a framework to work from and as you get used to eating whole unprocessed foods and less sugar your cravings will go away (they arent inherent or natural they are learned) making you want to go back to your previous diet less as you will no longer crave it or find it palatable. Your taste buds are incredibly adaptable and preference is just our biological understanding that something is safe to eat. As you said Jesse has helped alot of people and she did that by making something that worked not something that's perfect.

I especially loved the conversation at the end talking about intuition and editing your life. I’m studying Human Design right now and have found it to be a profoundly helpful tool to help understand how our unique designs (bodies) communicate to each of us. Listening to Jessie explain her process always makes me so curious to know her design lol.

    In 2023 I spent just over three months changing my Brothers lifestyle in order to reverse his dietary sugar overload. He was being told that he would need to be put onto insulin injections. Together we reversed the sugar levels from over 20 down to between 4.5 and 7.5, and since then he has the odd spike over 10. I somehow found your TH-cam videos on glucose spikes and we have both included your hacks in our dietary lifestyles.
    I have been carrying out controlled experiments on myself. I find after instigating your hacks over a period of four weeks, I have better mental health, I am losing fat, slimming down, not necessarily losing weight as muscle weighs more than fat.
    A huge thank you Jessie.😀😀😀

    It’s always made sense
    to me that dessert should only be eaten after a proper meal. To much fast process food is the problem. Get back to basics. We all know we eat crap when we have not planned for our meals accordingly. My favorite lunch time meal is leftover protein, a small portion of brown rice, and lots a veggies (usually left overs) also a big handful of spinach, a little feta and a drizzle of olive oil. When I eat this on a regular basis, I’m good. I also try to fast most days from 7pm to 11-12 am the next day. Vacations and getting sick really derails me though.

    I am 61, diagnosed with pre diabetes 6.4 on Nov 2023 so I started on a Keto diet right away, it was hard for a couple of week, but I am very disciplined and I hate taking meds.
    I have drank apple cider vinegar since I discovered in the late 90s that it helped my acid reflux, then moved to carnivore in Jun 2024. I am 1.72m told and my weight was almost 200lb. I've kept drinking apple cider vinegar (shot) even though my acid reflux is long gone after changing my diet. I do walk for 30 minutes after my 2 daily meals (intermittent fasting noon and 6pm). I have lost 32lb and have stabilized around 165 (+/-), I don't smoke, barely drink a glass of red wine if going out for a good steak, I don't like coffee. I even stopped eating fruits almost a year ago.
    However, the tiredness and glucose levels have not improved. My fasting glucose averages 120, but this week it has gone over 140 three times.
    I am worried and kind of lost, I thought I was doing things right, and have worked very hard to avoid diabetes and medication, but something definitively is wrong.
    I will do a comprehensive lab work on Nov (a year later) and see what's going on. I am not going back to carbs or sweets, as they stopped interesting me a long time ago.
    I'd appreciate a knowledgeable advice. 🙏🏼

    Wow! Fantastic interview, with two great people. And Casey really pulled more of the science out of Jessie than I have seen in other videos. And this talk makes we question whether most of us (~88% of Americans) are actually metabolically unhealthy, or if we have just lost touch with how our ancestors used to eat (order of foods, etc., which are now Jessie's hacks). If they had eating traditions that were healthier, that they developed by trial and error over time. As in, we're not broken, we're just eating the wrong way.

    Dr. Casey Means thank you for acknowledging the importance of organic, pasture-raised milk. Jessie dismissed a question pertaining to organic milk and said it doesn't even matter, when it does matter. Dairy cows are often the worst treated animals and buying organic, pasture- raised means they have a higher quality of life.
    Secondly, both of you said not to give into cravings and basically ignore them, but then mentioned later on in the interview to listen to our intuition. So those comments seem contradictory. I think our body is always telling us what it needs, and we should listen, within reason and eat accordingly.

    Got linked here because I’ve been listening to Dr Tom Seyfried videos who talks about the link between high glucose levels and cancer. He explains that cancer is a metabolic disorder of cells that do not respirate oxygen for energy but ferment glucose and glutamine (which is why PET scans using radioactive dye in glucose is effective in finding cancer). My wife currently has breast cancer which is why I’m passionate about learning more. Would be curious to know if you are familiar with Dr Seyfried and his work?

    Wow I am not type 2 but have always had a hard time loosing fat and having a low body fat percentage even when I was a runner and trained. I stopped eating sugars in my 20's with a few exceptions and completely for the last 15 years ago. This did not make a difference but it did keep me from having extreme low blood sugars drops. I cannot wait to learn more about this glucose thing. The really interesting thing is my daughter is a type 1. Even without sugar in my diet, that is all added sugar, my A1C is 5.4. Lately I decided it definitely needs improved. I am so thankful to have found this information with the glucose goddess. I also want know more about levels, it would not allow me to create an account.

    I havent gotten through the podcast yet but I really would love to hear how these conversations relate to Type I diabetes. I have loved ones with a type 1 and I cringe a bit when people just refer to "diabetes" and dont specify type 2. Im not quite sure they should really even be called the same term in the first place despite similar symptoms

    The Glucose Revolution book is my fav book of the last 2 years. I tell everyone about it and regularly show people the ingographics Jessie has created thst show the impact of one or rwo key havks. The hack that I talk about the most is to find a green you like - even orgeanic micro greens from Trader Joes and eat two large handfuls of those first before esting other goods. Another great book is Metabolical by Dr. Robert Lustig.
