the independence of the parts is just stunning in this, keeping that bass and comping going while still keeping the melody clear and strong on top is just amazing. And he makes it look so easy and sound so smooth as well.
Totally agree Axe Man! When Martin first started playing I thought he had another track playing the melody. He is so talented, the independence of the bass, chords and melody is truly amazing! Plus, he plays with so much feeling that the flawless technique never overshadows the musicality.
What a stunning sense of rhythm and not a wrong note in a million. He is being bass, harmony, melody and drums all in one. What it must be like to have that command over the instrument and to know exactly what you're doing and how to do it. How many hours does it take to play this well? For most of us more than 2 lifetimes! And still we couldn''t play that well. Martin Taylor is the top of the tree. It doesn't get better than this. Great to see him and hear this.
Sumptuous. One of my all-time favorite players. I attended a performance of his at a small theater in Tucson, Arizona, and it was breathtaking. Thank you, Martin, for all the years of great listening.
...now he tells us... I just walked around the farm for an hour to get my heart pumping...all I had to do was play along...beautiful rendition...cheers,
Wow. I’m completely transfixed from those first samba rhythms. Really energetic performance and just incredible tone. Really brings the song to life. We’re not worthy!

Mr Taylor jazz sax player Dick morrissey has played it for ages..and now so do I ...in my own humble way...it's a great tune
A real virtuoso. I've always liked this Paul Williams tune....among others.

Absolutely wonderful. My wife and I listen to you every day. Joyful music!
My God, genius........
Martin, I amazed at how effectively you get the separation of the melody line in terms of volume and tone from the bass and inner voices!
Wonderful
Fine guitar play Martin and tone...now out to feed grumpy and Elvis two stray cats and the beautiful early morning nocturnal animals...
Marvellous, more please!
Great song and great rhythm! Thank you Martin

Stunning rendition Martin thank you
I love this! I need a transcription so I can learn it
What guitar model is this? Sounds nice.
At times put me in mind of Bob James's theme from the old T.V. show Taxi
He should do a solo version of that! The theme from taxi.
That's truly amazing. How does all that come from just two hands? Thanks Mr T.
A lifetime of practice, and no small amount of gifted talent.
Jazz master
Where's the other player?
@SavageArfad love it when idiots think they know the obvious

@@SeamusAndrewMurphy thanks. I'll take your recommendation under advisement.
@@bartholomewtott3812 I think he might have been being sarcastic there.
I've asked myself that many times listening to Martin.
Is this bossa nova?
disappointing
your rhythm guitarist and bassist work cheap!
Wonderful
