It doesn't matter what he thinks. There's a reason why the kid said something like that. There's nothing wrong with having a positive role model.
This is how you teach children. Be kind, be respectful, give them responsibilities, and reward them for allowing him to do his job. Hope this man gets a nice bonus each semester!

mqhamed I love your statement. First off, it would be nearly impossible for the bus driver to hear the girl. She is outside with her headphones. How can he even hear that? Especially kids talking and unless you’ve been on a bus, you don’t know how hard it is to hear anything even when it’s quite. You simply have no proof and make no sense. I don’t know if this is a joke or not. If it is haha .
If he did “scream” at the child, big if. 1st. Have you ever been on a bus, only adult with 40 plus children? You are driving the bus, making sure all children are seated, making sure they’re not fighting, safe, etc 2nd she’s not suppose to have headphones on, dangerous if something happens and she can’t hear the bus driver.

That man isn't a bus driver, he is a role model an openly kind and generous person who will in some way have a life long impression on these children. When your day begins with a happy face and encouragement and it's genuine, that sets the stage for endless possibilities...

@stacyB he is a bus driver, but I think it speaks volumes that he has that job and makes the life long impressions on these kids. I don’t believe that in order to be a role model, the driver part disappears. He is both and he is proud. As am I.

Lisa Bornfree lot's of school bus drivers are kind. It just depends on the kids. You get rude, unruly and disrespectful kids you get mean and irritated bus drivers. Those are some calm and well mannered kids.

What a great guy. He has definitely made an impact on these kids and they will remember his kindness for the rest of their lives. I remember my elementary school bus driver used to tell us all she loved us and I’m 24 and I remember it still.

This is the coolest bus driver, ever! Most of mine were sadistic!
Mines would goes over bumps real hard so the kids in the back would go flying up to the roof of the bus and hit thier heads. And go around curves real fast so we all would fall over. Smh
Marley Ex Wow! I had one who would miss our stop constantly. Picking up & dropping off. I often thought she did it on purpose because it happened throughout the school year, not just once or twice. She never said a kind word, always yelled.
I had a few nice bus drivers, but they wouldn’t last long on our route because the other kids (high schoolers) were so rude and disrespectful to them

My bus driver gives us a inspirational quote on a lil sheet of paper and he reads it out loud. And tells us to never give up, those words are very inspiring I love my bus driver!!!

When that kid said “i wish my dad could have been like that”, that was straight genuine & from a heart full of pain...that has now found some small beam of love and hope. The bus driver loves all of those kids, probably all kids. That’s his nature and that’s great but the love each kid has for him is so much stronger because no one knows what kids go through when they get home or walk into school. His loving heart has opened up many young hearts to be accepting & ready to love back. There is Hope.
