EXCELLENT guide. Did this at 41 with no prior experience with the pull or with AoE farming. Gave it a go. Rewatched the video. Tried again. Within 10 attempts I had them down and a nice 3rd of a level to show for it. Best guide out there from what I've found.
Hey quick tip for everyone struggleing with the first safespot jump at 3:15, you can just walk in from the right side if you hug the wall from far right, had a lot of trouble with that wierd hitbox there.
7:34 I play a male gnome mage and you are actually able to get up on top, it just takes some practice, it took me maybe a minute to learn it. What you have to do is start a little bit to the right and jump at an angle into the cliff, and if you did it right you are able to jump once more and get on top of the ledge. Sometimes you will not jump high enough or in the correct way / position so when you jump you will fall right back down
I used your guide to level my mage in zf from 40. Though i did use the only strat of just running through normally with not invis pot. Took me about 6 hours to finally get to the zombies though.
The first 'safe spot' doesn't work. I've just tried it 20 times, and even when laying behind the blocks any patrolling mob can still target me and kill me.
@@pixelarm4564 tried /sleep, /lay and /sit, but the mobs still attacked me, forcing me to stand up again and get hit. Tried spamming the macro, but no good.

@@justinarnolduk Have you tried standing in the middle of the first safe? I've noticed the last day they will sometimes still attack, but if I hug the wall at the first safe spot or stand in the middle it seems ok. Hope it starts to work for you!
Just to be realistic about this, I’ve learned how to do it in the past day and while it’s doable at level 40 it is VERY difficult. Not to deter anyone but arlaeus makes it look giga simple but the reality is if you get a couple bad resists you’re dead. This whole farm is so so so much easier at 42 and unless you’re willing to put some real time into it (or fancy your resist luck) you should go at 42. That being said I could have just been mega unlucky, I also made some bad mistakes which enhanced my resist tilt. Glhf all great, detailed video as always tho :)
I've just started trying this out at level 41 (human male), I'm having troubles getting up the first hill on the left to get on top of the wall, I keep getting stuck while jumping up.
I just watched the most recent guide before this to my knowledge of doing it with the two invis pots, i innovated on the strat and only need 1 pot at the start then I use the safe spot in the middle stretch area and mount up and run to the gy after. Works pretty well, only thing I need to practice is the kill phase because I seem to mess up the positioning a little bit but this video helped by seeing how you set up the kill phase with your jump timing and stuff. Thanks for the guides, I’m really trying my hardest to level right now lol
if you're an enchanter and are struggling with the jumps back and forth try a minor speed enchant. the +8% increase makes it harder to undershoot the jump. not necessary, but a bigger margin of error could make it a lil bit easier
the one reset at 4:09 doesnt seem to work for me. have tried mutliple times and themobs no matter what DONT deaggro think i spent 20 minutes /afk waiting for them to deagrro tried moving them around and such after they where lined up like yours too. just Doesnt work
The trick with the reset spots is that you CANNOT get seen by the pats. If you do (at least with an male UD mage) there's a tiny freaking safe zone on the 2nd reset spot, if you get spotted bt those pats you're dead 4 times out of 5 at level 40. My personal strat is to get a mount, do the jump on the right side and wait for the pats to stay clear of the 2nd safe zone, and always keep double shield. if you manage to do it you're in business. Unfortunately, it took me 7h of trials and error to get my groove going, and I average 40 to 50k xp an hours with split pull as a first time mage player. Definitely enjoyed the challenge even tho I raged a lot in the beginning. Another advise is to get rid of your breakable gear if you keep dying (keep the rings, offhand, neck and cloak), get the tempo going, and as soon as you find your rhythm you can equip your gear on the way to the graveyard. Lost at least 10g of repair until I decided to go commando (had 950hp and 2.6k mana with unbreakable gear and AI). Unless you want the challenge, I would go against trying it before level 42-43.
Recently i watched some of your videos. I like your style of explanation. Its quite on point, funny, smart and without (too much) bullshit. :-) I hope i get to see one of your streams maybe.
Update: the boss room right before graveyard you cannot use those Urns to reset. Im a female gnome and just got slapped and i tried every side of the urns
On my 7th try right now at 40 (with mount) made it to second safe spot but wasn’t quite far enough over and pat burned me. Think I’ll get it this time ;) thanks for the video!
thats if u pull the hunter mob not the zombies. There is 2 pats in that room that come inside and out you should raid tag and pull when they are outta the way. If you get the shadowhunter even at 54 it can wipe u
Sucks you stopped making content, I just tried this for the first time in anniversary, at level 40, and it took me 9 tries to make it to the GY. First time I made it to the GY though, my gear was mostly broken. Started the actual pull with 4 broken pieces, kill phase took me almost 20 mins, but I did it first try. Left with 6 broken pieces of gear. Great guide.
lol sounds like a L guide if you left with 6 red pieces. You clueless people need to ask people ingame instead of these content creators. They just want to make content and do stuff differently to make their content seem different and/or better than any other guides 😂
I'm attempting this now on anniversary. Spot 2 to spot 3 is my sticking point at the moment. VERY tough at 40 with the huge aggro radius. Am pretty solid on getting to that point. If i can get behind that pot i think i can make it the rest of the way.
The part where you say if your any other race just use /lay , that part is so annoying takes a long time for the caster to reset . Wonder if there is a better reset spot.
Tried this as a human mage during wotlk classic. (Will leave comment unedited for date). I would like to know if this is normal or something new. It seems the npc's of zul'farak has learned to teleport, further than blink. This has happend while moving on that first ledge (the brazier jump, but not every time), just after jumping down the ledge (thus far only if the brazier jump happend), and the first reset spot (behind the boxes, also on top of the boxes, in any way they are able to reach you) I am playing human mage, unknown if/how other races are affected.
I'm going to comment here and update with my obs of trying this starting at 40 as an Undead mage. First reset went off without a hitch. In the second reset spot there was at least one mob that was able to hit me with Shadowbolts whether I was standing or laying down. I tried repositioning a few times to no avail. I brought 35 lesser invisibility potions with me and will probably use one on the next try for the 2nd spot.
Great vid! I'm currently trying to replicate it but having trouble at the actual Blizzard-jumping spot: There are Shadowhunters that pat around and they always end up with my zombies and then shoot from far away (will interrupt Blizzard) and can even polymorph you. What do you do about them?
Now in november 24 they made it impossible to use the safe spots. Is there a possible workaround for it or is it the end of ZF farming at lower levels? Greetz from Jos (Holland)

@@miket3647 you could take zf all the way to 55, not the fastest but you dont need to learn a new spot. From 55 i would just start getting attunements done.

Eighter inv ur alt char into ur party, then just log off with ur mage, and w8 till ur alt get the lead then reset and log back, or u have to try to run back. I did use the alt switch cause it is more safe. If u die it will take a lot time to run back and u have to go back to city much earlyer to repair ur gear cause of death.
This should be upvoted. The first reset spot shown at 3:16 is blocked off now completely, so doing this without mount is pretty much impossible from my testing.

At the first reset spot the shadow casters are still able to hit me. I am male undead and also using /sit(/lay) macro level 40. not sure how to consistently get it yet but I'm grinding it out
I had this same issue. Was really pissing me off right away, but then I just realized that you just have to be careful to line up your character to use the boxes to break line of site with the shadow casters. Takes a little bit of practice to find the right spots, but after that I had no issues with them.
So when I get to the first safe spot I drop other mobs but I have a shadow caster who keeps hitting me with shadow bolt. Any advice would be great. Lvl 42 troll
@@arlaeus9491 well even with the zanza, the female human and female undead jump boxes are rough...kinda like in the zg pull you have to jump at a diagonal, you can't do the normal rp walk jump
at 4:05 i always get hit by the middle pack no matter what, even if i'm standing to the right they snipe me every time and i cant reset them, i've had over 50 wipes and no luck so far

i did the jump on undead its rly ez jump, u might be right it doesnt work on gnome no way u failed it otherwise. did you go try it again? im p sure u cant on gnome
After opening the 3rd set of graves, I seem to miss jump to the safe spot a lot of the time, so frustrating :( Edit: Figured it out, need to stop then jump then move forward to get on to the ledge :D
Okay so it took me 6 tries to get to the graveyard and when I pulled all the zombies I fell down to the right at 8:56 and got stuck lol. Took me another 3 tries to get back to the graveyard just to be greeted by all the zombies since I had not reset the instance... edit: okay so I have been getting the run down a bit, but holy shit is it annoying with invisible walls in reset spots, blinking in the same spot etc as someone who is playing mage for the first time...
Is there a reason as to why I get little to no xp from doing this pull? I see in the video he gets over 800xp per mob and when I tried i was only getting 200-300 xp per mob
Simple you arent hitting them as often. You see you have to Damage them within i believe it was 15 seconds window. So when you finished your blizzard and jump back you have to hit them before those 15 seconds is up or you'll lose exp.
the zombies jsut attack me instantly why are they running away from you when you click the graves? i watched this like 4 times before doing it and they jsut kill me
@@edlectric if you don’t have a mount yet like me, you can run left and jump onto the wall like in the video (I’m troll race), but you have to jump and stop pressing “w”, there is an invisible ledge
@@edlectric run all the way to the end of the wall and you’ll deaggro the basilisk / other mobs and be able to regen etc. :) then I usually wait for pats to clear, shield up, drop onto the stack of mobs just below and blink towards the next “entrance” and nova after while running to next reset spot
Only had an issue with the 2nd reset spot as an UD mage. MY advice is to wait for the pat to toward the entrance, and leave the first only if there's no patrol near the 2nd safe zone. And get the hang of the road to the safe spot while removing all gear which can be broken.
you cannot dis-engage combat for too long. after like ~20 seconds when mobs won't get any dmg the xp value for those mobs will be re-calculaed based on their current health. that is most likely the issue you ran into.
I'm sure this is great with some practice, but I just don't have the patience to go through all of that just to get to a farm spot, no matter how great it is. To add to the suffering every single time you die you have to run back all the way from Gadgetzan graveyard. It's just not worth it.

Works for me. Just started this today. If you're not a Gnome I'm sure he said to "/sleep" behind the first safe spot, maybe that's it?

I did this yesterday at 41 + all rested exp. Got 80% of a whole level in one run, was insane.

Reset spots dont work. I pop out to wand a totem, And make sure there are no totems. but it just simply doesnt work
3:30 no matter what if i get in that spot i will never get out of fcuking combat. over 20 times i have been there and not once have they reset
that 2nd spot is tricky, just make sure there's no pat near it and abuse the /lay macro if you're not a gnome.

In the last part kiting back and forth one of the mobs cc'ed me into a frog which obviously screwed me. Any tips for that.

Shadowbolts can also hit you in the 1st spot.

So when the click the graves, the mobs don't run towards the boss altar and they're on me immediately. Is this something they fixed?
You need to activate the boss first for them to run to him

I am pretty sure, you have not activated the boss. You need to make sure that he spawns the 2-3 zombies, reset, and then start opening graves.

@@arlaeus9491 well even with the zanza, the female human and female undead jump boxes are rough...kinda like in the zg pull you have to jump at a diagonal, you can't do the normal rp walk jump
does urn reset only work as gnome?
at 4:05 i always get hit by the middle pack no matter what, even if i'm standing to the right they snipe me every time and i cant reset them, i've had over 50 wipes and no luck so far

Don't know what im doing wrong but the zombies arent running toward the boss even though i activated him.
he has to say his line about going into his sanctum.

@@ThisIsRho what race are you ? im not having troble with that part but its difficult, got to the kill part one time earlier today but failed the jump and died in the middle of it, pretty happy with that tho 2 hours in .. just need to practise more:)

i did the jump on undead its rly ez jump, u might be right it doesnt work on gnome no way u failed it otherwise. did you go try it again? im p sure u cant on gnome
After opening the 3rd set of graves, I seem to miss jump to the safe spot a lot of the time, so frustrating :(
Edit: Figured it out, need to stop then jump then move forward to get on to the ledge :D
why you click the graves they run away whereas when i click them they attacvk instantly
You have to trigger the boss first.
Okay so it took me 6 tries to get to the graveyard and when I pulled all the zombies I fell down to the right at 8:56 and got stuck lol. Took me another 3 tries to get back to the graveyard just to be greeted by all the zombies since I had not reset the instance...
edit: okay so I have been getting the run down a bit, but holy shit is it annoying with invisible walls in reset spots, blinking in the same spot etc as someone who is playing mage for the first time...
Yea dude a friend of mine play mage and never get to the spot in zf so i try it. I never played wow but i did it first try the game is to easy lol

make a grp with a friend/guildy/2. account, log out on mage, reset by your grpm8, now u r at the entrance of a fresh id :)

Is there a reason as to why I get little to no xp from doing this pull? I see in the video he gets over 800xp per mob and when I tried i was only getting 200-300 xp per mob
Simple you arent hitting them as often. You see you have to Damage them within i believe it was 15 seconds window. So when you finished your blizzard and jump back you have to hit them before those 15 seconds is up or you'll lose exp.
the zombies jsut attack me instantly why are they running away from you when you click the graves?
i watched this like 4 times before doing it and they jsut kill me
Aggro the boss first so they run to him before running to you.

@@edlectric if you don’t have a mount yet like me, you can run left and jump onto the wall like in the video (I’m troll race), but you have to jump and stop pressing “w”, there is an invisible ledge
@@edlectric run all the way to the end of the wall and you’ll deaggro the basilisk / other mobs and be able to regen etc. :) then I usually wait for pats to clear, shield up, drop onto the stack of mobs just below and blink towards the next “entrance” and nova after while running to next reset spot
I tried the ledge jump on a troll mage.. died every single time.. not sure how you actually managed to get up there on a troll....
A lot of these tricks only work as a gnome. hiding behind the urn at 4:33 as a human does not work
at the beginning, you talk about silencing, how do i get this ability as a mage? i thought it was a priest ability
mage has counterspell. 10" interrupt on enemy cast.

As a blood elf if I get knocked off my mount none of these spots reset them. The shadow casters still hit me
Only had an issue with the 2nd reset spot as an UD mage. MY advice is to wait for the pat to toward the entrance, and leave the first only if there's no patrol near the 2nd safe zone. And get the hang of the road to the safe spot while removing all gear which can be broken.

Tryed and the mobs alsway resist nova/sheep while I try to get to GY :(
I'm a level 42 Mage and only get 200 to 500 exp per mob. Is that a bug? I See people getting up to 900 exp per mob. They are also not rested...
you cannot dis-engage combat for too long. after like ~20 seconds when mobs won't get any dmg the xp value for those mobs will be re-calculaed based on their current health.

I'm sure this is great with some practice, but I just don't have the patience to go through all of that just to get to a farm spot, no matter how great it is. To add to the suffering every single time you die you have to run back all the way from Gadgetzan graveyard. It's just not worth it.
