Hey There, I was thinking on buying the Puma Nitro elite 2, I had a few questions. You see, I've been using the Nike maxflys for my 100m sprints and have gotten quite comfortable in them, but planning to try out the Puma Nitro 2 spikes now. 1) In your opinion are these better than the maxflys? 2) is it worth the switch? 3) I heard they have some carbon fiber on the upper sole of the shoe, does that make it uncomfortable to wear? Hi. They’re more reactive off the floor than a MaxFly. They’re not “bouncy” but you still get a very good level of energy return later in the race. I find I can accelerate more consistently in the Puma spikes as they feel much more stable. It’s a very aggressive spike. The carbon fibre in the upper are just threads to help lock your foot in place l. Helps the shoe mould to your foot. Not uncomfortable at all. I really like these spikes. I use the 400M version but that’s just personal preference for me. I think Puma are creating some great spikes and would recommend trying them
