Might just be me but I feel like he didn't capitalize off his unique background enough. The main selling point is he was a Royal Marine. But like a lot of his recent videos (to me at least) is just this generic reaction channel and gaming channel stuff. I feel like he lost some of the flare trying to cater to more ppl when in fact that niche is percisly why ppl watch him. Idk just me ranting my thoughts.

@@viziontrex yeah, but I haven't seen anyone that's as good as Luke when it comes to reviewing things from a military perspective. Savage actual tells good stories but they don't play the games themselves, Estonian soldier doesn't really play games either. A lot of the smaller channels does do let's plays but those aren't as well produced as Luke. I think Luke has a lot more potential if he goes full in as a military gaming/reaction channel.
Door kickers 1 veteran here and creater of the "Soto Residence" map. These games are such a joy to play and have taken up so much of my time both on pc and on mobile devices. I'm also a huge fan of their side scrolling version "Action Squad".
It's so cool to watch an ex-marine play this game, to see your unique perspective and concern for your men... All the tactics you use about how to clear rooms and keep everyone safe at the same time are so interesting and I feel like I'm actually learning something from TH-cam haha. Regular people may not have that concern, to us the only objective we see is to get in, eliminate the bad guys, and get out. I'd love to see more of this! Keep it up, love your channel!!
the rangers cant shot the enemy when they hide behind the cover, the only way is using grenade to take him out or using flashbang to shock him and get the ranger move to kill him... btw u can custom the maps and the units capacity (rangers, enemies, civilians, hostages, and VIPs) and others on editor option in the main menu. those maps when u custom it and saved it, it will change the default campaign maps into ur maps that u custom it earlier sorry for my poor english🙏

Hey just a suggestion you can change the loadouts for your soldiers! i recommend unlocking the CQB M4 (MK18 Carbine)variant for your assaulters that way they are efficient (only takes 1 to 3 shots in cqb)!! love the vids!
Game Suggestion: You should try to play SWAT 4 it's kinda like Door Kickers, but you can play in first person, control you squad or tell/Command your squad, and I think you can customise yourself and your squad. By the way love the content. 👍
Hi luke, loved this video. It was very insightful on your cqb strategies and I’m sure it was great revision for you. Anyways, I would love for you to put the flashpoint games on your “to play” list as the game is sort of like this one but it is real time FPS where you are squad leader and are leading your team.
I couldn’t stress this enough while I was watching lol The sniper is not shooting because you’re not pressing the sniper support button on the bottom left that’s why, anyway good luck with the future levels.
Having played a bit of Door Kickers 1 (and trying to single-plan a lot of levels) it seems like the best way to treat the signals is to pick what you want to be on a signal, and then move to the previous marker/a bit before the trigger, and put the signal there. At least in DK 1, the units basically do any action within 'reach', so when they're stacked up and you tell them to kick the door, they'll step to the kick-door marker, kick the door open, and then wait for signal to advance.... kind of. It's weird and takes some getting used to for sure.
I never really paid any attention to this game, but thanks to this video alone, I’m buying it! I find this very entertaining, and I did a bit of Building Search in High School, and it feels good to see that some of the tactics I was taught are genuinely useful and correct! Love ya!

19:00 I like how he thinks he can only have for, when in reality he cannot use the same operator on 2 positions, also I hate grenadiers since it causes way too many civ casualties because of fog of war, and really only would use one (Because they have breaching charges) in a very precarious situation like a bathroom I know has an enemy and no hostage or something like that.

Enjoyed the video, hope to see more. You can plan it all out in one go and let it run itself through, but on some of the more complicated maps i always find it gets a bit harder with wall breaches etc involved. Some other youtubers have videos doing that also. Controlled pairs gaming is one i know of. Missions with sniper support have a button on bottom left of screen, click it when the sniper reticle is green for locked on, and it will fire. You can drag the reticle on to other enemies for a preffered target. In settings you can turn on coloured plans, so each soldiers route is a different color instead of all white. Red exclamation mark simply indicates that soldier cant take a shot as his buddy is blocking him. The yellow exclamation means the enemie is ducking behind cover and blind firing, so you need to frag/flash or flank him. Or wait for a reload. Hostages will follow the rescuer, you may need to sometimes run the rescuer back to the green hostage return zone incase they get killed on the way back if not clear. Troops will shoot when crouched i think. Civilians will run from gunfire,sometimes.Some situations may require stinger grenades to scatter them.

Most of the times, i use this tactic: 4 Members: -Shield: Iron man (The name of the shield) -Breacher: KSG (Mostly used to breach small rooms) Assaulter: I think the primary was a Bulleye..? It's good at medium-longrange and covering other squad members when they are advancing/breaching a door And another assaulter How do i use these? When i breach into a house, i make them go into a position Example: Assault Assault Shield Door Breacher: (Opens the door/uses the charge) Most of the units will focus on the Shield man, rest of the squad will be covered by him Breacher hides behind the door during the gunfights. And stuff goes on and on. It's quite effective, ngl Edit: Most of these weapons Might not exist in the 2nd game, but maybe most of it will
Would like to see you revisit this game again with the new updates! There's a few things that would have made your life easier too like when selecting their aim direction holding shift will make them maintain that direction until told otherwise
That was fun. Some more strategy/tactics games to play: Frozen Synapse, Total War games, Dawn of War 1+2, XCOM, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, Desperados 3, some of the old Rainbow Six games, Gears Tactics, Supreme Commander, Halo Wars, Battletech and Homeworld
at 1:02:00 I would breach the wall near the spawn point (wall on top of the green box) and have the sniper execute the one in sight by pressing the “sniper support” button on the lower-left corner of the screen *after* the breaching charge gets detonated. This way the threats on the bottom and upper room are taken out almost simultaneously, then have them clear the other rooms afterward.
You should totally get together with some of the other youtubers and join them on games like Arma 3, Squad and Ground Branch ! Really cool video btw :D
Make sure you use the spy camera before you announce yourself through the door to see where the baddies are, they also move around different spots as well, and to watch out for any hostages that are in the way. Also don’t forget to use “Wait for Go Code” as well. 👍🏾
So interesting to see someone cqb-trained in the RMC. Nothing is really said or done different to US Army or USMC, which pretty much means everybody learned the same lessons from the last twenty years of operations. Would be cool to hear you saying the calls you would make to other Marines in the stack, its probably also the same as us. Play more DK2!
I know this isn't military related, but another game like this is Police Stories where you take control of a two man Swat team and have to go through levels of hostage situations, bomb defusals and building clearing.

Let’s all be honest watching Luke learning how to play a game is one of the funniest and sometimes most frustrating thing to watch on his channel cause most of us have probably played the games already
u can kick the door and throw a flash with the same person. You drag until you see the door breach icon and then u choose flash. Now you can be a door kicker and heart breaker
One thing you need to pay more attention in this game is the pause button. I mean, moving, pause, moving, pause is great and all but you can also pause while they were moving in the middle of their path to plan out a better approach and edit their path.
You should do a video trying to 3 star the Indian Country Levels, they're so friggin hard. Just a little advice, on the first level you only have about 25 or so seconds to get to the VIP so you have to sprint across the market yard into danger to get to him in time. It's definitely one of the best levels in the entire game.
Probably already known but make use of your gadgets before entering a room such as the spy cameras, never forgo the spy cameras because they give you a lot of intel to work with and as someone who was in the military should know, getting the correct intel makes decisions in battle easier.
To go into slow motion press L on the keyboard and to use the binding keys for when they love like A,B, and C just press the corresponding key on the keyboard or 1234 they work the same
Watch some videos from a channel called controlled pairs gaming for familiarization of the mechanics. And to see some alternative CQB tactics you might like.
Quick Quick, you didn't have to get that Suppressed SMG, there's a button above the equipment and below the door movements and it looks like a person shushing someone, they can equip a suppressor with their given weapon.
I would recommend going to play the first door kickers game, this is a very good game for an early access title but some things are a bit messed up. The first is fully fleshed out to a point, some things in this game (Number 2) are not in the 1st one BUT the mechanics are mostly the same and will allow you to learn things, also the 1st has like 6 campaigns from what I remember, good stuff.
by the way Luke, if you're gonna play this again then if you press on the cogwheel thingy next to thier weapon in the loadout menu you can customize thier guns
I've been watching an American Soldier playing this and he talked about how the US military use the terms Battle Drill 6 for entering a room in CQB and Combat Clearance for clearing a room from outside the room by pieing off any breaches. Where as US Law Enforcement use the terms Dynamic Entry and Limited Penetration for the same manoeuvres. Which got me curious. What do we call them in the UK?
This is one of my favorite games on Iphone. Another good military game is called Firefight. Basically a WW-2 2D/top down RTS battle game. The game is a very, very much like (maybe copycat is a good description) of older PC games called Close Combat.
you can plan them all in one go, but its significantly harder. I've only done a few complete plan runs because they take forever. they do feel awesome though when they go perfectly.
im not sure if you have been suggested this horror game yet or not but Dead Space its basically Resident Evil in space they get less horror and more action focused as the trilogy goes on but that is kind of fitting as its the same protagonist so he and the players are getting used to the monsters and know how to deal with them effective.
Have you played Far Cry 3? Would love to see you take out the outposts silently with your Fairburn-Sykes. It takes planning and nerves! Please look into it Luke.
There is some weird stuff with the action queuing that is unintuitive, for example, you put the door kicks on commands but they did it auto when leaving planning mode then stopped waiting for the GO! Generally I play co-op with friends and we just jump out of planning and then pause and do our setup "in-game". I feel like the planning step has some weirdness to it still.

Just a tip, u can order no.1 to open a door while stationary and order no.2 to throw a frag or just cover the door.

There's an option in the game setting that changes the rings and lines of your operatives to different colours. I found it really helpful.

It is. Callouts, limited penetration, shield bunkering. It just depends on your team.

One of the cool things about Door Kickers 2 that is different from the first one is that you can change out the attachments on the weapons
You can actually set your pathing first the right click the breach icon to configure your bangers. You then use go codes to sync the breach.

good tip use the shift and control click helps a lot. Also This was awesome its like cqb with Luke Jillings.
To go into slow motion press L on the keyboard and to use the binding keys for when they love like A,B, and C just press the corresponding key on the keyboard or 1234 they work the same
Watch some videos from a channel called controlled pairs gaming for familiarization of the mechanics. And to see some alternative CQB tactics you might like.

Quick Quick, you didn't have to get that Suppressed SMG, there's a button above the equipment and below the door movements and it looks like a person shushing someone, they can equip a suppressor with their given weapon.
I would recommend going to play the first door kickers game, this is a very good game for an early access title but some things are a bit messed up. The first is fully fleshed out to a point, some things in this game (Number 2) are not in the 1st one BUT the mechanics are mostly the same and will allow you to learn things, also the 1st has like 6 campaigns from what I remember, good stuff.
I would love to see that follow up. The video seems to have done pretty well and the game had a few big updates
by the way Luke, if you're gonna play this again then if you press on the cogwheel thingy next to thier weapon in the loadout menu you can customize thier guns

I've been watching an American Soldier playing this and he talked about how the US military use the terms Battle Drill 6 for entering a room in CQB and Combat Clearance for clearing a room from outside the room by pieing off any breaches. Where as US Law Enforcement use the terms Dynamic Entry and Limited Penetration for the same manoeuvres. Which got me curious. What do we call them in the UK?

This is one of my favorite games on Iphone. Another good military game is called Firefight. Basically a WW-2 2D/top down RTS battle game. The game is a very, very much like (maybe copycat is a good description) of older PC games called Close Combat.

you can plan them all in one go, but its significantly harder. I've only done a few complete plan runs because they take forever. they do feel awesome though when they go perfectly.

im not sure if you have been suggested this horror game yet or not but Dead Space its basically Resident Evil in space they get less horror and more action focused as the trilogy goes on but that is kind of fitting as its the same protagonist so he and the players are getting used to the monsters and know how to deal with them effective.

There is some weird stuff with the action queuing that is unintuitive, for example, you put the door kicks on commands but they did it auto when leaving planning mode then stopped waiting for the GO!
Generally I play co-op with friends and we just jump out of planning and then pause and do our setup "in-game". I feel like the planning step has some weirdness to it still.
