Good Info thanks Jason. I'm running 285 KO2's on the Bronco and don't feel comfortable going below 15 psi on non bead lock rims. It sure make a big difference for traction and ride quality especially in the snow on the trails. For airing down I use the same deflator you do and works great for me, maybe not as fast as some other brands are but when your out with your buddy's thats usually when the friendly smack down banter starts. You have to enjoy that. LOL For airing back up, I'm a tradesman and use a lot of Milwaukee cordless tools, The M18 inflator works great for me on a 9amp battery, I am only running 285's but it works great for that. A very helpful video. The only remaining question I have is if I am at say 15 psi oe `10 psi how fast can I go without heating up my tires so much I destroy them.
That is a really good question! the common rule of thumb is at 20 psi stay below 60 kmh. Lower PSi than 20 should only be used for much lower trail only speeds. That said the type of tires and rims you use and the vehicle weight also play a factor. Keep in mind that airing down is for use on trails...not highways at all! it is always a good practice to pull over and check the heat on your tires. If they are to hot......slow down or put some air in them. Another factor is when you are aired down....your cornering in the vehicle at higher speeds is also diminished. So do not rally race on back roads with aired down tires....It will not end well.

Great video,very informative. I'm wondering if I can pick your brain on what you think are the best GMRS hand held out there is? Do to my occupation I have used lots of VHF but not the UHF products. I'm looking for 1 or 2 of them that have a longer range and waterproof. Quality is more important than price. If you have any thoughts on this subject,I would love your input.
You will be driving a bit higher speeds there. I have done 80kph on gravel roads (not the dempster) with the pressure dropped to 22-25 to make the travel a little easier. You could always check your tires after a bit of travel to see how hot they are and then adjust accordingly.
One correction! @10:48 in the video I say 5600 CFM, I meant to say 5.65 CFM!!

How about driving the Dempster highway. 1500 km of shale/gravel at 80km/hr. Mid twenty psi?
