Turns out the people who kelpt telling me different orishas was a scam but when I went to somebody here, they revealed that it was oduduwa , I'm glad that I found somebody in my state
Aború aboye. I know someone who is crowned directly Oduduwa and he’s a great Orisa priest. Natalia Bolivar the famous Cuban author is also crowned Oduduwa directly.
Iboru iboya! I am glad to have found your channel on youtube - I received Oduduwa and later made Ocha, crowned with Ochanla/Obatala shortly thereafter, bc Oduduwa wanted it so. I am not entering ifa for several reasons, being perfectly fine with being Olorisha. Thank you for your efforts sharing important knowledge!
Iboru iboya! Thank you Baba Joseph. This has been a confusing topic for me after receiving my hand and finding out I'm a child of Oduduwa. It was the first time I heard of the Orisha and finding consistent information on him was difficult. I love that you always push the notion of there not being one 'correct' path or way when it comes to certain things in the tradition. Fast forward, I was crowned Oduduwa directly in Cuba but later found out through a tamboa (not directly for me) that it is better for me not to be crowned Oduduwa directly but crowned Obatala instead. The universe has seem to be pushing me in that direction lately so it can't be ignored. I seem to be susceptible to the spirit world and although I was told my path is that of a Babalawo, from my understanding, people who are susceptible to the spirits can't be Babalawo. I'm assuming that means I will have to go down the path of a Santero? P.s your previous podcast on Oduduwa resonated so much with me, thank you!
Iboru iboyaaaa !! Omo Oduduwa! It’s so hard to find more information on him . Thank you for this video IN ENGLISH 😇🤍. Could you give more content on Oduduwa pleaseeeee ! I’ll be receiving him soon and I just want to connect more . Ashé
Aboru aboye Baba.. if you can do a video for everyone on the greeting and why we say Aboru Aboye Abosise . &&&& a video on why we are prostrating / dobale to the orisha/ and the Priest ASE and not the priest. You know what I mean. Protocol stuff. Thank you
Iboru Iboya. Can you share your guidance on veneration of Baba luaye. His culture is so different depending on which region or tradition in the world we are talking about. It seems like veneration is encouraged if it’s toward the synchronized San Lazaro but it seems discouraged if it’s toward the traditional grass covered sort of more mysterious energy of the other tradition names. So I’m asking because I truly feel connections but I want to be so respectful but at the same time I’m so bursting with love for this deity. So perhaps, can you share how does your house feel about his veneration, especially with all that’s happening in the world. ????? Thank you in advance.
Aboru Aboye greetings my abure. Im initiated in Oduduwa & Oosa-nla orisa. Thank you 🙏 for feeding my soul with this great work you have perform may Olodumare keep decentes peace in your pathway to evolution. 🙏 One question by any chance are you from miami? If so do you remember someone named Rocdanie? From school days? Only reason i ask cause you look identical to someone i knew then with the same name. Thank you again for sharing 🙏
Very pleased to hear the channel is providing you value l! I am originally from Miami, but actually went to school in Orlando. Thanks again for watching! Aboru!
Two completely different spiritualities that don’t influence each other. If the person received their Hand of Ifa before getting scratched maybe they would take into account what their odu of Ifa says about the step, but even then that’s questionable. If the person has the desire, understanding, and acceptance from their Munanso, go for it.
Yes, but from a ceremonial standpoint over hybridization can be counter productive. When performing any processes, pick a method and stick to it with little to no changes at least for that instance.
In the Afro Cuban tradition this is a legitimate practice. It arose out of the lack of ability in the new world to be able to crown certain orishas. When in doubt crown your guardian Orisha, you can never go wrong by doing so.
@@JosephBabaIfa I’m child of Oduduwa just received it 2 months ago, also from what I’ve heard from my padrino & many other Babalawo you’re not supposed to crown obatala, you go straight to IFA. In my ceremony they even asked if I had to do santo & answer was no. Bendiciones
You be on point 100% he said the exact same thing you said in this video

Greetings Baba, I was wondering if one day soon you could talk about head changes and how that’s applicable with in tradition
Could you please clarify what you mean by “head changes” so I can provide an accurate answer. As always thank you for watching!

I've heard the omo oduduwa does not Intiate into Palo what do u think of that?
