My heart truly broke when they delisted those old Konami arcade games; X-Men, TMNT, The Simpsons, whatever else. I'm also sad I never got that Voltron game for Xbox Arcade because it's also delisted and my son is way into Voltron. The only Voltron game we have left to play is the VR one for PS4

Great video! I think I played the ""HD"" version of RE4 Mobile many years ago on my iPod Touch. That got me thinking: will you also take a look at the OTHER Capcom mobile games? Like Dead Rising Mobile?
Do Dead Rising Mobile, that game was really fun and had RE4 weapons in it, it had a listing on the map for a D.I.Y. Workshop room too but that was never implemented.
Love your work Derek! By watching this video it has made me amazed at how a company like Capcom has the absolute audacity to create ports of their games on mobile platforms. Since now I have missed an opportunity to develop a first-person shooter for the Nintendo 3DS because not a lot of those types were made on the system. But Capcom didn't give up. Not only did they release Resident Evil: The Mercenaries to a mediocre reception, but they also developed the fabulous Resident Evil: Revelations, by far one of my favourite games for the 3DS system. The Monster Hunter titles alone are also a showcase Capcom's willingness to break beyond the confines of the 3DS graphics. Love your work Derek, well done!
This. Played through it once on a Nexus 7, it was pretty impressive. Managed to pull off touch controls while sticking to having no hud for the normal gameplay. Fresh story too, prequelling Dead Space 2.
Ohhh Zeebo in the thumbnail, this is gonna be so juicy bad/good haha As an aside, Zeebo was also the name of the recurring clown character that was in some "Are you Afraid of the Dark" episodes from SNICK...thanks for the show Uncle Derek and Producer Grace.
I remember reading about this in an old ass EGM. It stuck in my mind all these years later because I was always wondering why, in the screen shots, the enemies were blue/purpley? Finally, some closure. I mean at the time it honestly did look pretty impressive compared to what was on my phone lol.
Awesome video as always. I love this delisted series, there are so many great games that are now unavailable. One series that sadly is gone for good is Square Enix's "Chaos Rings". I only played the first game, but it was actually really good. Apparently there were three other games in the series, as well.
It's a very special touch to have put this video in specific with Portuguese subtitles. I love your videos and have watched for a few years now, I love seeing your enthusiasm for these things. As much as Zeebo is a very obscure console, it seems incredible that it marked my childhood, my father gave me one as a gift because Wii, PS3 and X360 were very expensive around here at the time, I spent hours playing Zenonia and Zeebo FC Super League and he had some very interesting ports like: Quake 1 and 2 (believe it or not, it's one of the best Quake ports for consoles) Tekken 2 (Which is a unique version made especially for Zeebo, it has better 3D models than PS1 version and Tekken 5 narration but has midi music and doesn't have CGis scenes probably due to space limitation ) Double Dragon ( Which I think needs no comments, it's just incredible ) NFS Carbon Own The City (which is a direct port of the PC version) Not to mention that it also had a kind of Virtual Console with some games from Data East (and later data miners found out that Zeebo also had a Sega Genesis emulator that supported online matches, but both things never happened) Zeebo is a strange but special console and I love seeing people commenting on it. And about Zeebo's Resident Evil 4 oddly enough was where I finish this game for the first time, I loved it a lot and replayed it every day, until then I got to know the PS2 and Wii version and saw how different it was. xD PS: Sorry for my English, Brazilian here.
Man, I'm stoked for the Zeebo episode. I've never even heard of it until you brought it up a little while back, but you've managed to hype it up to the point that I'm just plain intrigued, at this point.
The only reason it was a Timed GameCube exclusive was because at the time Mikami hated Sony, Microsoft botched their interview with Mikami and the Dreamcast was basically dead. So only place left was Nintendo
I think, from the perspective of someone born in the 90's who spent my teen years in the 2000's, it would be really fun to talk about some of the flash and java games that were popular at the time because they played a huge part in everyone's lives back then. Some of them even went on to get full wiiware or console versions!
Nice to see someone making a video about this old game now.. If you ever this comment, please do consider my list of Delisted IOS App Store Games. (They’re not really based of off a movie or something) 1: Blood Roofs (A classic infinite running game like Temple Run but you get to use weapons and power ups, the game has boss battles too and a ending if I’m not wrong, is not found yet, but a small part of it was shown in the trailer) 2: Battle Bears (A Classic some of you may be familiar with, this game has a main storyline series , and some spin-offs. In the Main Storyline there is: Battle Bears Zombies, -1 and 0. Battle Bears Zombies is still available in the App Store and Play Store if I’m not wrong, but the other Titles are off the App Store. The other one would be a Multiplayer Shooter known as Battle Bears Gold.) 3: My Personal Favourite of All.. ZOMBIE CRISIS 3D. This game has 4 Titles in the series but most of which are off the App Store. The first two are Zombie Crisis 3D Prologue and Zombie Crisis 3D, you can play this on IOS and Mac and it feels just like The House Of The Dead. Sadly, it was delisted from the App Store on IOS but still available on the Mac App Store. If you try to view a title like Zombie Crisis 3D, it will say that the game is only available on the Mac App Store. Next 2 are Zombie Crisis 2 and 3: Killzone. These two have a different play style where the camera angle is at the top and you fight waves of zombies. The boss fights in all the games are AMAZING and feels like the arcades. 4: Next we have Puppet Wars Episode 1 and 2. Puppet Wars was an old FPS Shooter that was delisted from the App Store and is quite hard to find now. The games has 2 Episodes, AKA two parts. You play as a Janitor who fights evil puppets trying to kill you. It may sound boring but it is quite a lot of fun! You can upgrade weapons and fight cool boss battles. Fortunately, the game is still playable of Android. But the only thing is that it does not support Android Versions above 4.0 . 5: Lastly are the old Gameloft FPS Shooter Games. These include stuff like Modern Combat, Brothers in Arms, Zombie Infection (Latest one), and N.O.V.A (Part 1 and 2). I won’t really be giving a full explanation about these but you can look them up yourselves. I would recommend Zombie Infection for IOS as it is one of the best ones. You can try running it on an older IOS device model if you have the game purchased but I’ve tried it awhile ago, and the Voice for the characters are broken. What I did was I turned off the voice for the characters and left the subtitles and background noise on. Hope this helps !
I would love to see a video on some of the old Arcade ports, such as Paperboy and Pole Position Remix, those games were great on iOS and the Pole Position version was really different with way more content than the arcade game, and it was exclusive to iOS and never rereleased, every other version is just based off the old Arcade game. There’s also 1942: First Strike which wasn’t exactly a port but it was really good, in some ways it was superior to its XBLA cousin, Joint Strike, and the mobile game received more updates. Oh, and all the bosses were ripped from the Raiden Trilogy.
You've covered Degeneration and 4 Mobile, but What about Mercenaries Vs? Such a fun game (for mobile at least) and a lot of fans forgot this thing even existed.
Awesome work as always, Derek and Grace! Next, do the Xbox 360 Kinect game from Konami, developed by the mad, drunken genius behind DDR, Naomi Meada: “Rhythm Party.” I’m keeping my old 360 just for this crazy AR dance game.
What about the entire Ogre Battle series? Super unique games, and the longest one was called the original Final Fantasy guy's favorite game of all time. All the games, from the original SNES games, to the N64 ones, the PS1 and Saturn ports, which were developed separately and added different features (including full voice acting to a decently chunky RPG), and even the ultra ambitious and frankly beautiful Tactics Ogre remake on the PSP have been in various states it delisting since forever. They constantly reference this series in the FF MMO, but can't friggin be bothered to give us a legal way to buy them anymore. Hell, it's bizarre how every game in the series has mods now, and they're technically as legal as the original games.
I love stuff like this because it's like you are preserving video game information we wouldn't have gotten otherwise on youtube. Thanks for all your hard work!
A series about delisted games? Think you could take a look at Overkill's The Walking Dead sometime? EDIT: the Official Discord still has some people if you're looking for players, though fully leveled i'll warn 14:24 Beginnings from Umbrella Chronicles in the background? Nice!

@@GamerBoy870 I think there were, just tariffs were crazy high and were super expensive compared to other markets and people there make less money than your average westerner, so these locally made consoles were a thing as they had no tariffs and were significantly cheaper
@@GamerBoy870 Zeebo was released in 2009, at that point we already have the ps3, x360 and wii on the market here in brazil, the problem was they were too expensive here, so tec toy tried too create something less expensive...
@@GamerBoy870 we had all the consoles buddy, it was just expensive to buy one, except the ps2, everyone had a ps2
The tariffs are very annoying to this day, that's the reason why Garena Free Fire and other mobile games are so popular here, because they're free.
I remember my father had to buy a SNES in Colombia because the Real was way way stronger than Peso at the time and that was the only way we could afford one.
22:40 “Oh No!” Knuckles would be proud.
Yay. Watched on Patreon, now I’ll watch again for the algorithm. :3
I just found my iPhone 3GS with the Lite version still it. Good times :)
Was always intrigued by the Zeebo version.
Great vid!
Re 4 difficulties change based on how you play is the best idea I think I wish it was a video showing all the differences
Crazy to see how we've gone from a hasty port of the java phone version of RE4 on the OG iPhone all the way to the entire RE4 remake on modern iPhones
I've been following your work since 2012, and I am really glad that you've long passed the 100.000 subscribers mark, onto 300.000+.
Resident Evil 4 VR technically counts as a mobile port.
Yooo, someone else that remembers My Date With the President's Daughter! I don't know why it's not on Disney Plus... the reason Under Wraps wasn't on Disney Plus seemed to be because they ended up remaking it like a week ago. But I haven't seen anything about this one getting remade. Anyways... sorry. Just nice to see someone remembers that DCOM!
I find it so funny how re4 was supposed to be for GameCube but it’s one of the most ported game ever
Fun fact, Quallcomm is not ONLY the folks behind Brew, but also supplied the chips for the Oculus Quest 2, which is where that RE4 VR port is coming. Funny how things go full circle huh?
YES, I’ve been waiting for the zeebo. Thank you uncle Derek for this awful console
I'm deep in depression since 2019, last year i found out your videos and
the way you're always cheefull makes me feel nice, keep up with your good work!
Great video! I think I played the ""HD"" version of RE4 Mobile many years ago on my iPod Touch. That got me thinking: will you also take a look at the OTHER Capcom mobile games? Like Dead Rising Mobile?
Love the My Date with the President's Daughter reference. Underrated Disney Channel movie.
Apple calling another company a patent troll is hilarious. They have a patent on rectangular phones with rounded corners.
This was comprehensive AF. Fantastic work to Derek, Grace, and the awesome fans that contributed to this. Great episode!
Do Dead Rising Mobile, that game was really fun and had RE4 weapons in it, it had a listing on the map for a D.I.Y. Workshop room too but that was never implemented.
I love that you put Blanka’s theme when talking about Brazil. Clever ❤️
"What are ya Buyin'?"
"Resident Evil 4 on Zeebo."
".... The hell is wrong with you?"
Uncle Derek holding a Zeebo: *Got something that might interest ya!*
And until 2024 resident evil 4 is return for the iPhone 15 yeah boi but remake of course
You should do an episode on the Android version of Dead Space.
This. Played through it once on a Nexus 7, it was pretty impressive.
Managed to pull off touch controls while sticking to having no hud for the normal gameplay.
Fresh story too, prequelling Dead Space 2.
That Milhouse reference though. Thank you for making me smile.
honestly the music in the first game isn't nearly the worst, look up crazybus theme lmao
Thank god this was released on Android so I can play it.
It's better to play Gamecube version emulated by Dolphin emulator than the Android port now.
I remember reading about this in an old ass EGM. It stuck in my mind all these years later because I was always wondering why, in the screen shots, the enemies were blue/purpley? Finally, some closure. I mean at the time it honestly did look pretty impressive compared to what was on my phone lol.
It’s a masterpiece compared to the mobile “port” of Dead Rising.
Awesome video as always. I love this delisted series, there are so many great games that are now unavailable. One series that sadly is gone for good is Square Enix's "Chaos Rings". I only played the first game, but it was actually really good. Apparently there were three other games in the series, as well.
So the zeebo is the original ouya?
This is the most magnificent look at the weirder sides of RE4 and I love it.
It's a very special touch to have put this video in specific with Portuguese subtitles.
I love your videos and have watched for a few years now, I love seeing your enthusiasm for these things.
As much as Zeebo is a very obscure console, it seems incredible that it marked my childhood, my father gave me one as a gift because Wii, PS3 and X360 were very expensive around here at the time, I spent hours playing Zenonia and Zeebo FC Super League and he had some very interesting ports like:
Quake 1 and 2 (believe it or not, it's one of the best Quake ports for consoles)
Tekken 2 (Which is a unique version made especially for Zeebo, it has better 3D models than PS1 version and Tekken 5 narration but has midi music and doesn't have CGis scenes probably due to space limitation )
Double Dragon ( Which I think needs no comments, it's just incredible ) NFS Carbon Own The City (which is a direct port of the PC version) Not to mention that it also had a kind of Virtual Console with some games from Data East (and later data miners found out that Zeebo also had a Sega Genesis emulator that supported online matches, but both things never happened) Zeebo is a strange but special console and I love seeing people commenting on it.
And about Zeebo's Resident Evil 4 oddly enough was where I finish this game for the first time, I loved it a lot and replayed it every day, until then I got to know the PS2 and Wii version and saw how different it was. xD
PS: Sorry for my English, Brazilian here.
It's kinda amazing how many versions of RE4 there are, and that I've missed out on just about every single one.
Mercenary Mode being the best way to grind money actually makes a ton of sense, given that's sort of the whole thing mercenaries do.
*passionate shifting in chair noise* lol love that small detail
I think, from the perspective of someone born in the 90's who spent my teen years in the 2000's, it would be really fun to talk about some of the flash and java games that were popular at the time because they played a huge part in everyone's lives back then. Some of them even went on to get full wiiware or console versions!
Nice to see someone making a video about this old game now..
If you ever this comment, please do consider my list of Delisted IOS App Store Games.
(They’re not really based of off a movie or something)
1: Blood Roofs (A classic infinite running game like Temple Run but you get to use weapons and power ups, the game has
boss battles too and a ending if I’m not wrong, is not found yet, but a small part of it was shown in the trailer)
2: Battle Bears (A Classic some of you may be familiar with, this game has a main storyline series , and some spin-offs.
In the Main Storyline there is: Battle Bears Zombies, -1 and 0. Battle Bears Zombies is still available in the App Store and Play
Store if I’m not wrong, but the other Titles are off the App Store. The other one would be a Multiplayer Shooter known as Battle
Bears Gold.)
3: My Personal Favourite of All.. ZOMBIE CRISIS 3D. This game has 4 Titles in the series but most of which are off the App Store.
The first two are Zombie Crisis 3D Prologue and Zombie Crisis 3D, you can play this on IOS and Mac and it feels just like The House Of
The Dead. Sadly, it was delisted from the App Store on IOS but still available on the Mac App Store. If you try to view a title like Zombie Crisis
3D, it will say that the game is only available on the Mac App Store.
Puppet Wars was an old FPS Shooter that was delisted from the App Store and
is quite hard to find now. The games has 2 Episodes, AKA two parts. You play as a Janitor who fights evil puppets trying to kill you.
It may sound boring but it is quite a lot of fun! You can upgrade weapons and fight cool boss battles. Fortunately, the game is still
playable of Android. But the only thing is that it does not support Android Versions above 4.0 .
5: Lastly are the old Gameloft FPS Shooter Games. These include stuff like Modern Combat, Brothers in Arms, Zombie Infection (Latest one),
and N.O.V.A (Part 1 and 2). I won’t really be giving a full explanation about these but you can look them up yourselves. I would recommend Zombie
Infection for IOS as it is one of the best ones. You can try running it on an older IOS device model if you have the game purchased but I’ve tried it awhile
ago, and the Voice for the characters are broken.
Oh, and all the bosses were ripped from the Raiden Trilogy.
as a brazillian im staggered to see your love for the zeebo. keep on with the awesome vids derek!
The Zeebo version is so fascinating. That version of Mercenaries reminds me a lot of RAID mode in the Revelations games.
My man just pulled out the "My Date With The President's Daughter" theme. Will Friedle was rocking that Leon cut for several years too
You've covered Degeneration and 4 Mobile, but What about Mercenaries Vs? Such a fun game (for mobile at least) and a lot of fans forgot this thing even existed.
Awesome work as always, Derek and Grace!
Next, do the Xbox 360 Kinect game from Konami, developed by the mad, drunken genius behind DDR, Naomi Meada: “Rhythm Party.”
I’m keeping my old 360 just for this crazy AR dance game.
Wow! This was a great episode you two. The background and thorough research was most impressive. Thanks so much for all you do
The idea of an "Oops: all Dr. Salvador" challenge mission sounds pretty fun to me.
10:50 - “R.E. 4 is back... in fog form!” The sneakiest Simpsons allusions are often from Millhouse.
"RE4's back, in Fog form!" gave me a good chuckle.
10:37
The acceleration on Leon's kick looks like he activates rocket boots or something.
I love it.
I love stuff like this because it's like you are preserving video game information we wouldn't have gotten otherwise on youtube. Thanks for all your hard work!
My favorite favorite channel on TH-cam
A series about delisted games? Think you could take a look at Overkill's The Walking Dead sometime? EDIT: the Official Discord still has some people if you're looking for players, though fully leveled i'll warn
14:24 Beginnings from Umbrella Chronicles in the background? Nice!
The blanka theme during the Zeebo explanation was a nice touch
God, mobile game preservation really is like exploring a barren desert.
I’d love to see a Delisted on the original Shin Megami Tensei iOS port, which was the only legal way to play the game in North America ever.
There is only one reason I know it’s a ssff video, he always mentions it was a GameCube exclusive
so good to see zeebo around the world, and its great that you talked about it Respectfully knowing how hard is the videogame industry here in brazil
You're doing God's work, Uncle Derek
I remember playing the Android port on my ASUS Transformer Prime. It did come to the Google Play Store, but only in Japan AFAIK.
Never got why RE games always seemed so outlandish or had elements in it that were horrifying yet so ridiculous.
I fell in love with 7 really quickly.
And after playing the hell out of 8 Im starting to understand why the stranger ones were so well liked.
