if i was to sell my fk2 type r the fk8 or megane 280 would be my next car..theres one near to where i live and its the only one about for miles compared to s3's golfs etc
I love their rarity. The FK8 is a monster of a thing, quicker in a straight line and beautifully suspended (rides incredible even on a 20inch wheel), but one b road in the Meg, and you're hooked.
I also hate the race display, I have a 280cup thankfully can change it though in the mode configuation and change the display to how you like, display 2 is my go to, lovley large classic rev counter and the large speedo in the middle and it all matches the ambient lighting for the back lighting of the rev-meter. It's set as default on sport mode. (Side note. aftermarket exhausts on these although louder when you're going, the cold start is always tamer than the standard one I found, good for the neighbours a suppose.)
Hi Large Coke, yeah I just found this out on the Trophy-R we have, which is based on the pre-facelift car. What the hell they were thinking of with that Race Display, I'll never know!! doesn't even show what rpm, just daft bars heading into the middle!!
@@JamesGlenCarSales1982 I’ll have to check out that trophy R, gearbox has just been replaced on my 280 at 27k miles and I can feel more things going wrong got some oil in my coolant tank now right after getting my gearbox head gasket? Oil cooler? 😂😭.
