Hello everyone, again I made a set of flower geode coasters, but this time I added a darker color in the center and a lighter color on the outside. I'm very happy with the result of this experiment and for sure I will try it again. I will include the link to the coaster playlist. th-cam.com/play/PLWqX7R3JwkuMtKuCIzLML9i3J6fQXYdSc.html
These came out so pretty. I really like the outside being more clear. And I love when you take them out of the mold that you take all four out before showing the topside. Keeping us all in suspense!
Loving all the subtle changes you're making to every set of coasters, they're all beautifully unique. Love the side that you see when you make them yet again.
These are beautiful. My resin arrived the other day, thank you for the promo code. I'm struggling to work out the resin formula / calculation though. Would it be about 300g part A and 180g part B please, for a set of 4 coasters? Getting by on very little sleep at the moment - my brain is struggling to calculate formulas 🤣🙄 x
Thank you so much for your nice compliment Su M-M. I appreciate it a lot. That's great that your resin arrived. The ratio for the Art Pro resin is 100 gram resin and 66 gram hardner. If you want to have a total of 500 gram then it would be 300 gram resin and 198 gram hardner. I use this ammount to make 4 coasters and then they will be 1 cm thick.
@@petrajongbloed4425 Aw thank you. My mistake, I'd wrote the wrong ratio down on my piece of paper for the Art Pro....I was using the calculation for the casting resin hardener at 60 not 66 🙄. Thank you for clarifying. I can't fault their service, it's twice that I've ordered from them and it's lightning fast delivery! I figure that if you like their products - I will 😀. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, stay safe x
Thank you so much Cathii for your nice compliment. I appreciate it a lot. Yes, I think it's the alcohol ink. It's not that heavy then the white paste and white powder I'm using. You still create a beautiful effect in your coasters. I like your coasters a lot.
So beautiful. Do you have a link for the specific resin you use please as I looked yesterday but they have so many to choose from. I love these Geode coasters, great job! x
Thank you so much Su M-M for your nice compliment. I aprpeciate it a lot. I have added the link to the Art Pro resin I'm using in the description box of the video.
Thank you so much Chantal for your nice compliment. I appreciate it a lot. The white is a paste. I also used alchol ink. You can find all the materials I used in the description box of the video.

I like it! I don't get that round, chunky look with my white pigment. I use alcohol ink though, so that changes the look. These are so cool! :)

Loving your work. Can you tell me, are you colouring the resin with a paste and the white with some kind of mica powder?
Thank you so much Chantal for your nice compliment. I appreciate it a lot. The white is a paste. I also used alchol ink. You can find all the materials I used in the description box of the video.
