tip from one artist to another: try using plastic bottles with little nozzle caps- they come in all different sizes and when youre done you just remove the caps turn them upside down and let the resin drip out, and peel it out after it has cured then you can reuse them and you wont be using and throwing away so many plastic bags. beautiful effect by the way!

Just found your channel. Those coasters are beautiful. The interference or ghost colors are fun to work with. I find they show up better on a darker background, like that gorgeous blue you have.
I was able to pick up a few containers of resin at Michael's. Try searching up resin specifically but if not try your local home depot I found resin there as well. Love your work🥰
They are beautiful. I can't buy Castin' Craft in England but I'm using alternative pigment pastes..trial and error - I won't give up until I get it right x
Hi Sherry, I am loving that you use a lot of canadian products. Have you tried the mica powders or pigments from Windsor plywood. The few that i have used are awesome!
Great Job Sherry. I’d like to give a shout out to Julia Cutts, “Pouring Your Heart Cut” in New Zealand... she also does the floral coasters and generously shares her expertise. I loved the blue coaster in this video... it’s one of my favorites. Blessings!💙
might be a help if you make up clumps of your center for the flower ahead of time and let them cure, and then add them to the resin later when you start your project.
If you notice when you heated them with the heat gun they didn't move at all like they do on your newer videos so I think that it will work for you. When I don't want things to sink or move I wait till it's pretty warm before I start to use it.
Hello, I loved your video and I found your superb coaster 💞 I have a question I live in Quebec Canada is there another product that I could find here to replace casting craft opaque white pigment ? thank you and i will continue to learn some tricks with you! thanks 💕
Hi sherry I love your video and I am happy I found you .would you please tell me what glitter you used in the center of flower ? I try to find in Michaels but I did not find it .
Thanks so much I'm glad that you found me🥰🥰 the glitter in the center is called confetti tubes now I got these ones at the Dollarama here in Canada . I know that micheals sells them but not sure about the colours. Thanks so much for watching 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Thanks sherry for response. What can I use instate conffite tubes ? I live in united state and I checked dollars tree and Michaels but i didn’t find it.
Beautiful! Was wondering, why not just do the blue layer first, let it cure and do NOT remove from molds. Then pour the clear/white/blue flower layer directly on top and let it cure, then remove from mold?
Hey, sherry I am new to this field of resin art. Please explain few things if possible- 1 where we use pigments? 2 where we use alcohol ink? 3 where we use mica powder?
I'm kinda new as well learning as I'm going lol. You can use any them anytime and I even mix them together. I find the mica power usually gives a non transperant colour. The alcohol is used when you want a little bit of colour. I also use acrylic paint when I want a solid colour. I think pigments are matt and the mica powders a shimmery. I hope this helps.🥰 Thanks for watching 🥰🇨🇦
Love watching your videos. Thanks for sharing. Every time I try these I get an air bubble between the two layers. I press them down just a little - not too much. I swish them around. If my touch is to heavy the bottom layer comes up over the edges and I have a mess. Any tips or suggestions?
Yes I’m from Alberta, we are doing real good! Live in the rural area nw of Edmonton about 50 Klms. Where do you buy your glitter and Black diamond hues? I’m kind of tired of having to buy from the US, sometimes it takes forever! Would like to get some suppliers here in Canada! You keep well! Going to try these just love the flowers!
Beautiful! I tried this technique and ended up with air pockets on the bottom side when I put the flower top on creating the sandwich of the resin coasters. Any tips?
Looks wonderful, but why not take yellow or Orange for the inside of the flower? Now the inside of the flower falls away becouse the outsider is the same color?
I just found this channel and I am loving it. But I have a question (I am new at this so maybe a stupid question) - why do you remove the top (with the white flower) and then add it back later? Why not just pour the blue glitter on top of the first piece after it is cured?
Thanks so much. Well I quit using this mold because it was leave a rim/lip so when I was trying this method I thought if I turned it over I then have 2 good sides and NO lip lol I now alot of work hahahaha but love the end results. Thanks so much for watching 🥰🇨🇦
In another video you mentioned that the reason you got such a beautiful flower effect this time is probably because you heated the resin, how much did you heat it and for how long?
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching. Yes actually it has to do with leaving your resin set for a bit. I now leave my resin set for 15 min before I start piping the white and it makes a huge difference. Once its piped you can use the heat gun to move it around but not for long. Hope this helps 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching. No I have it and I just recieved my new one its blue .so will be playing around with it. Hopefully it will be the same as the white. 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Hi, thank you for the video. Im trying to do the same design as you did here. However having issues with the white resin. A little while after the design is completed, the white resin sinks and all the design blends together. Any tips on how to avoid this from happening?.
Another cool project! I am wondering if you've ever used a color other than white for the petals? Do you use the white for a particular reason, like, does it's density have something to do with the way it keeps its shape or? Just wondering. Thanks!
I never played with epoxy. This video was recommended to me. I guess because I make soaps and such. Now I’m interested in other projects. 😩I’m crying because my house isn’t big enough for me and my experiments.
I tried your method of the double pour, first one worked fine, took that one out and did the second pour, well when I put the first pour on top, there was places that I couldn’t get the trapped air out so I have soft spots, any ideas what to do to fix it?
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching 😍 Now the first time I tried it I didn't wait at all and they turned out amazing that's the black ones, the second time was the blue set and it turned out , now I did another set and I warmed my resin up and that was not so good I could hardly hold the bag it was that hot in this set the white did not spread and was like a bunch of 3D lines I didn't like this lol. Now with the pink set I did not warm the resin but I think I over heated the white it was a lit toooooo spread hahaha ... such a trial and error 😜 can be expensive....... hope this helped a little. 🥰🇨🇦
Sherry you let ur Resin sit a bit B4 adding the pigments? the reason I ask so far I been using Epoxy resin from UV Resin and I really Like Epoxy Resin better, but I been using my 24mm and some 20mm Ball Orb Mold i been trying Alcohol Inks the Lets Resin Inks nag they hardly give and effects for me, but Pinata yes are good, but the Ink when I drop in in my resin gives this running effects mainly on the sides not even being able to see the center on the orb, I saw many videos and they get some gorgeous effects. Now I do rush and drop my inks right after I add my Resin in, and my thoughts tell me maybe I should wait 15-20 minutes when I add my resin in my orb's or juz let it sit for that long so the inks won't fall and run down the sides to fast, thas my Theory at least maybe wrong, well hopefully you can help my love my runny inks LoL and Ur pieces came out sooooo Beautifully Muah Lovely😘 hope you can give me Advice TY 4 got to add sherry whats the work time of the resin Ur using?
Thanks so much and thanks for. Yes from my experience with alcohol in when you drop it in right away it will spread if you do wait a bit they will not spread as much. Hope this answered your question. Have fun creating 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
@@SherryMoulton : thank you Sherry, it sure did answer my question Deary😊 don't get offended me saying dear, I'm an older fella all out of respect, i'' still astonished of Ur work you did really stands out you know when you add a picture to ur video just an eye-catcher or it will make you look twice. forgot to ask after I mix it and in case there are bubbles i leave it sitting for 5-10 minutes, How much longer should I let it sit after the 5-10 minutes? you know I thought Exopy Resin have longer work time or pot life, but mostly some Resins have 20-40 minute work time B4 it starts getting gel like I thought one had hours to work, really new to Epoxy Resin used UV Resin for a bit, but Epxoy Resing is much better despite the long cure wait its worth it.

So for the first part I put clear resin in the mold then I add a small bit of glitter in the center then I put the white on. Leave it set for 24hr then I remove them from the mold add your glitter resin mix the mold then put the first layer on top. Hope this helps thanks so much and thanks for watching. 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
