Wow I like this. I am going to try this. I hope it works. My daughter is sending me some alcohol inks for Mother's Day. This will be a great first project.
Did you dip your popsicle sticks in silicone or did you buy those somewhere? They look cool! I finally found a spatula at thes dollar store that's fully contained. Ask thes others have removable parts that cause resin to get in places I don't want it so these are ¿fully contained?
Mica or pigment, in any form. Powder, paste or liquid. And it can be any color. I have used other colors if you watch my Midnight Sanddollar, Cactus Flower, and Dahlia videos. Acrylic color or ink won't work.
Only if you don't fill the molds all the way to the top. Usually the edges aren't too bad but I will sand them down with wet/dry sandpaper if I need it.
With my magical resin powers of course! 😂 The white doesn't stay in place really. I hit it with the heat gun and that's what spreads out to make the petal effect.
@@rashidaghazi1335 The resin I use isn't scratch proof but there may be others that are more resistant. They also make a scratch proof coating you can buy. I've been using the same coasters for 2 years and I don't have any scratching problems. The bottoms of cups are usually pretty rounded. As for staining it's probably not very likely as its plastic.
Why do you use the white resin concentrate? Can you just use white ink? I watch you a lot with flowers and they are lovely. I didn't know if maybe that white is thicker. I haven't tried these they are out of my realm.
The white I use is liquid pigment added to resin. You can use white ink instead of white pigment in the resin. But you can't use pigment or ink by thrmselved. You wouldn't get the same outcome.

Is there a certain way to dispose of the trash from resin?
Did you dip your popsicle sticks in silicone or did you buy those somewhere? They look cool! I finally found a spatula at thes dollar store that's fully contained. Ask thes others have removable parts that cause resin to get in places I don't want it so these are ¿fully contained?
They're silicone stick covers. They came as a kit with the silicone cups. The link to buy them is in the description. I highly recommend them!
Absolutely stunning!
I love them so much and can’t wait to try. I just hope the ones I do come out as nice. Thank-you

ThanQ so much for the tutorial ❤️❤️
The most beautiful resin art I have ever seen. How can one clean them after using them?
Thanks! Just wipe them a warm soapy cloth.and rinse off.. No microwave and no dishwasher.
@@CathiiLaPierreArt Noted. Thank you so much
What can be used in place of this white pigment?....acrylic color?, white ink?
Mica or pigment, in any form. Powder, paste or liquid. And it can be any color. I have used other colors if you watch my Midnight Sanddollar, Cactus Flower, and Dahlia videos.
Acrylic color or ink won't work.
Love them I’m going to try it!
Beautiful!! Doesn't the top part get sharp edges? Do you sand them down?
Only if you don't fill the molds all the way to the top. Usually the edges aren't too bad but I will sand them down with wet/dry sandpaper if I need it.
Fav! 💜💜💜
Have ye tried makin' a Shamrock!?
Yes, last month. 😊

@@CathiiLaPierreArt brilliant thanks. Of course I will, I always credit my inspiration
Hermoso un abrazo desde México 🇲🇽
Un gusto ver tus obras!
Gracias! Estoy tan feliz de que te gusten.
How does the white pigment mixed with resin stay still
With my magical resin powers of course! 😂
The white doesn't stay in place really. I hit it with the heat gun and that's what spreads out to make the petal effect.
@@CathiiLaPierreArt 😀 thank you
so is the white the only part that is thickened when used?
No. All of of the resin is thickened.
Hi thank you for sharing. Did you use just 10 OZ mix of resin for total or 16 Oz ?
10 oz.
Beautiful work.love it.
Is your resin heat proof?
Can we keep a hot cup of tea on these?
Yes! This resin is good up.to 120° which is plenty for hot drink cups.
@@CathiiLaPierreArt Thank you
How do you make them scratchless and stain proof?
I've seen you wear gloves when you unmold the coasters, do we leave our finger impressions on them?

Any time. 😊
beautiful. is the resin thick when you add the white>?
Yes
Is the whole thing done from start to finish using thickened resin?
WOW GORGEOUS INDEED 😁‼💯
