@@mlem3913 Great question! My bookmark came out wonky too and wanted to curl, so I blocked it by pinning it and using a steamer. If you don't have a steamer, you can pin it in place, and gently spray the bookmark with water, and press it into the stitches. Wait until its dry, and your bookmark should be ready! Did my first practice bookmark tonight! It turned out okay. I misread the 6 loops on the first stitch so it really only has 5 and looks a little wonky lol, but it's still pretty and you explained everything very simply. Thank you for this! My friends are about to be handed random bookmarks now lol!

When I first learned this stitch, I really struggled with it, so I think that the most important thing is getting the hang of where to place your hook. I hope your next bookmarks turn out better, and now you'll never forget to have 6 loops on your hook. I'm sure your friends are going to love them haha. :)

I feel like your wording was nearly perfect and timed well with the action. Not too much extraneous stuff - I don't need the life story of yarn in a tutorial lol. Perfect speed, at least for intermediate to expert level folks. But beginners just need to watch at a slower speed if they aren't quite getting it. Just the right amount of repetition. You went a bit too fast just during the first stitches until I got the hang of it. I've been crocheting for years, but maybe I'm a slower learner than most. 😉 I slowed down the playback, but of course, that slowed your voice, too. I was grateful to have the written pattern to hold my hand, during those crucial first stitches. Thank you, it's a lovely bookmark. And, as others have discovered, a really cute bracelet. A bit longer and a couple of pearl beads, and elastic loops, and it's perfect for a fun choker necklace. Oh! Add a larger pearl pendant dangling down. How cute! A million great ideas stem from yours. Thank you for the tutorial, I wanted a purse strap and I had put a border around the purse with this stitch, but wasn’t sure about how I would do the strap, using this stitch for your book mark, just making it longer, was perfect.

You went a bit too fast just during the first stitches until I got the hang of it. I've been crocheting for years, but maybe I'm a slower learner than most. 😉 I slowed down the playback, but of course, that slowed your voice, too. I was grateful to have the written pattern to hold my hand, during those crucial first stitches. Thank you, it's a lovely bookmark. And, as others have discovered, a really cute bracelet. A bit longer and a couple of pearl beads, and elastic loops, and it's perfect for a fun choker necklace. Oh! Add a larger pearl pendant dangling down. How cute! A million great ideas stem from yours.
