Haha by Jeremy's logic every single movie that is released in December is a Christmas movie, but the movie that has Christmas as its central theme and takes place on entirely one night, Christmas eve isnt a Christmas movie..........i think Jeremy's brain broke alittle there haha Plus down here in Australia we celebrate a summer christmas so to us snow isnt really a christmas thing, we have more of a beach santa riding a jet ski and burning hot weather kinda Christmas spirit 😁
Let's put it this way, folks; Do you want to watch a movie that takes place during Christmas, in the middle of Summer? Do you listen to Christmas music and watch snow fall in July? Die Hard is a Christmas movie.
Define “a Christmas Movie”. Does it mean the point movie is about celebrating Christmas or does it mean, released at Christmas? Two entirely different lists of movies there,
Jeremy thinks a true Christmas movie is released in December (The Disney Star Wars Sequels are Christmas movies then), has no nudity (Rated R Christmas Movies don’t exist apparently), and have Santa Clause actually exist In the movie (Santa Clause doesn’t exist in Home Alone, It’s A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, a personal favorite of mine - Jingle All The Way, etc.). Also Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter being more of Christmas Movies than Die Hard is one of the most retarded things I’ve ever heard.
I believe it means that the movie was released in December, but that's my opinion. None of the Die Hard movies were released in December. The first 2 were in July, the 3rd one in May, 4th was in June, and the 5th one was in February.
I am not a big fan of Die Hard or most action movies in general, but a lot of the Christmas movies I like are not family movies. One of them is “Silent Night, Deadly Night” which released in 1984. It was pretty controversial back then since Christmas horror movies were not as common as they are now. Some other Christmas horror movies are Krampus, Jack Frost (the one from 1997), Jack Frost 2, Santa Claws, All Through The House, Better Watch Out, All The Creatures Were Stirring and Mercy Christmas. Most of the movies I listed here are currently on Tubi.
This argument is just two different opinions on the definition of "Christmas movie". One says any movie that has Christmas in it should count. The other is saying the spirit of christmas should be in it (It's a Wonderful Life as an example). They just need to clarify a "spirit of Christmas" movie vs a "movie set during Christmas time".
Christmas is the time to say "I love you" Share the joys of laughter and good cheer Christmas is the time to say "I love you" And a feeling that will last all through the year
I agree with Epic Mike and DAYUM Savvy 👌 😎 great burn 🔥 👏 😎 wait so any movie that comes out in December is a Christmas movie hmm according to Jeremy's logic
Die Hard may be a Christmas-time movie, a movie that takes place during Christmas, but it is not a Christmas movie, a movie about Christmas or the meaning of Christmas.
*_The Polar Express_* is a fucking awesome Christmas movie, Jeremy. *_Spider-Man: No Way Home_* is also a Christmas movie just like *_Die Hard_* is. I agree with you to an extent regarding Zack Snyder's DC movies, but you're wrong regarding *_Die Hard._*
If they didn't want it to be seen as a christmas movie, they shouldn't have set it in christmas holiday. Could've just been a normal office party celebrating the completion of the plaza
I don't care about this argument die hard is a Christmas movie. If you consider die hard a Christmas movie or not good for you. I just consider die hard an awesome movie. I will say this, die hard is more of a Christmas movie, than one of the Harry Potter movies.
Jeremy and one of my all time favorite wrestler kane aka Glen Jacob's is 100% wrong on this one. Die hard is a Christmas movie always has been always will be
@@ampjr99 No snow, no Christmas music, literally looks like California in the middle of July. The only "reference" is a stupid rap song when he enters the limo and "ho ho ho, I have a machine gun" on the one terrorist guy in the elevator. Other than that? Nah. Even Batman Returns has more relevance as a Christmas movie than any Die Hard movie. Besides, they literally gave up the back drop as soon as the 3rd one came around because, guess what? They're not Christmas films, they're action films with a slight mention of the holidays.
@DarkcelReturns not every Xmas movie needs snow I live in nyc and we barely ever have snow on Xmas. Snow means absolutely nothing when it comes to xmas. When a movie Is based on xmas which die hard is its a xmas movie
@@ampjr99Yeah we get no Snow in NYC and what’s this logic that snow is a essential or a qualification for a Christmas Movie? Like if Home Alone didn’t have snow then it’s automatically not a Christmas Movie despite the heavy Christmas Themes and Plot Points it has? Die Hard is indeed a Christmas Movie.
Die Hard isn't a Christmas movie and it's only mentioned like once... and that's when John McClane gets into the limo and the limo driver plays crappy Christmas-themed rap song. There's no "jingle bells" or "silent night", etc. playing throughout the movie ever. It's like summer in California, no snowing. Sorry, but... Die Hard is NOT a Christmas movie. Batman Returns is more of a Christmas movie than Die Hard - based on the scenery, what people are wearing, the giant Christmas tree, etc. There's a reason they dropped the "Christmas" crap in Die Hard With A Vengeance, because it was always a backdrop that could easily be taken out, since it wasn't the central point of the film. lmao
The plot largely focusing on reconnecting with family which is John and Holly’s plot point - being a pure Christmas Theme, “Now I have a machine gun ho ho ho, McClane using tape used for Present Wrapping to tape the gun behind his back, “Happy Trails Hans”, the soundtrack being full of Christmas Music - Let It Snow playing at the end of the film for example, the opening of the vault scene where “Ode to Joy” plays (not necessarily Christmas music but is used in a festive context in the film) and Clarence says “Merry Christmas”, the last line of the film being “If this is their idea of Christmas, I gotta be here for New Year's”. I don’t know what you mean by “once” because Christmas is constantly referred to in the movie to the point there’s clearly a Christmas Charm to the movie’s story and the argument that it wasn’t intended to be a Christmas movie is irrelevant also.
Just because a movie takes place at Christmas time doesn't make it a Christmas movie. Like most of those Hallmark channel "Christmas movies" are just love stories set around Christmas time. A true Christmas story either has Christmas as its central theme -or- has the traditions of the season as its central theme. And Jeremy's right: When Die Hard came out it was advertised as an action move, not a Christmas movie. Wow - it's not often I agree with Jeremy over Dan!

Home Alone is my favorite Christmas movie.

Do you listen to Christmas music and watch snow fall in July?
Die Hard is a Christmas movie.
Craig is a Christmas movie. He's all red

You forgot the Goldbergian masterpiece Santa Slays
Jeremy- everyone screams about die hard being a Christmas movie.
Also Jeremy - screams at Ryan about die hats not being a Christmas movie
Jeremy is just fucking trolling at this point and I love it! 🤣 And Die Hard is a Christmas movie of all time. It even has Santa with a machine gun!
You could take the Christmas theme out and the movie remains the same.
I trolled the hell out of Jeremy on cobracast, sent 2 supers and derailed half the show.
Lethal Weapon is a great Christmas movie, same with Die Hard.

I don’t think Jeremy has seen Die Hard in a long time. The movie is littered with Christmas music and Christmas references… Weird hill to die on.
2:45 Never seen someone try to back track so quickly, lol.
Savvy is so fun to watch and listen to. She is one smart young lady. Dan is harder to pinpoint. Love these guys. Love the laughter they create.
Christmas is the time to say "I love you"
Share the joys of laughter and good cheer
Christmas is the time to say "I love you"
And a feeling that will last all through the year
Gremlins is a Christmas movie.
'Vice Versa' is a great xmas movie 🎄
I agree with Epic Mike and DAYUM Savvy 👌 😎 great burn 🔥 👏 😎 wait so any movie that comes out in December is a Christmas movie hmm according to Jeremy's logic
Jeremy's logic is flawed.
Die Hard may be a Christmas-time movie, a movie that takes place during Christmas, but it is not a Christmas movie, a movie about Christmas or the meaning of Christmas.
Time for that die hard watch party
*_The Polar Express_* is a fucking awesome Christmas movie, Jeremy.

Just saw the "Have a MAGA Christmas" music video and thought of Jeremy. So funny.
If they didn't want it to be seen as a christmas movie, they shouldn't have set it in christmas holiday.
Could've just been a normal office party celebrating the completion of the plaza
The Griswald Family Christmas is both.

Christmas
Bad Santa, Scrooged and The Santa Clause are Christmas movies. Die Hard never was to begin with. lmfao
Facts people don’t like. Die Hard is a Christmas movie and Godzilla x Kong is a bad movie and Sonic is a bad movie.
Jeremy and one of my all time favorite wrestler kane aka Glen Jacob's is 100% wrong on this one. Die hard is a Christmas movie always has been always will be
Nope, not even once.
@DarkcelReturns it is and they even say it in the movie

People make too big of a deal about whether or not Die Hard is a Christmas movie. Who cares. There are more important things to debate about.
such as whether Dave Filoni is to blame for the state of Star Wars.
First World drama.
Chronicles of Narnia is more of a Christmas movie than Die Hard

Die hard is a Christmas movie.
Christmas movies don’t have to be family friendly. Most memes are based on truth which is why memes are so effective
I'm sad that Savvy has a lad. We could have been a nice autistic couple together lol.
Artistic or Autistic?

I'd rather be pegged by Savvy than admit Die Hard is a Christmas movie!
You just wanna be pegged by Savvy anyway.
