I am at the stage of waiting for my proof copy. However, I don't see the option of selecting a launch date and allowing pre-orders. People have been saying that this is a possibility with LuLu. Could you confirm this? Otherwise, I will cancel my order, retire the book and choose another option!
Hi mar len! Thank you for tuning in! We recommend leaving your book in private access until you have reviewed the proof copy. We don't currently have an option to set a launch date, but you can leave your book in private access until your launch date and then make it available for sale. You can accept pre-orders through your website and then upload them via CSV file to Lulu through our Multi Order Import Tool, which allows you to upload and ship multiple orders at once. Whatever topics your book focuses on, there are probably existing organizations or online groups that share the same interest, so we recommend starting there.

Hire a marketer. In my experience it is way too hard to market a book yourself. Most self published authors do not have good marketing skills.
