Hi thank you for the video how does an ebook only author host a launch party?
This sounds like a lot. I'm a writer hoping to be published when done with my book. I'm getting anxiety just listening to these videos. All I want is to share my stories with people. All this business stuff and Extra ... I'm getting worried and frustrated. Please help me figure all this out. Every time I go back to my dream of being an author this sort of stuff does me in. This sounds super complicated.
It can seem really overwhelming to think of the marketing side of things, but you don't need to do everything mentioned in this video. Instead, you can just take it all one step at a time. For now you might not want to focus on this side of the process at all, or start really small maybe by just starting a blog and writing an introduction post or something else like that. Once you get to the actual stage of preparing for your book launch, you can plan out everything in more bite-sized steps to keep from getting overwhelmed. But if it's causing you stress right now, you can just focus on writing your book and not worry about it yet!

I self pubslished a book but this marketing stuff was just too overwhelming for me. It is very very hard to market a book. I gave up and got a better job to make money that way. Self publishing is a dead end these days.
@@Batman-jc5uc You self published? You obviously don't reccomend it. Probably I'll hafta take the route where I find a publisher & get some assistance with marketing. I don't plan on just writing because I know it is hard to live with just that. Plan on getting my PhD
@@bhsprinkle if you are good at marketing and promoting yourself the self publishing might work. But if not do not do it. You will be stuck with a box of books with 4 sales in one year.
Some prominent publishers like Times Group published my book on Delhi and Prabhat Prakashan an equally prominent Hindi publisher published my Hindi novel "poorva-Sandhya'. I have my manuscript ready for a few more books . My problem is despite written a lot, i have no idea how to market these. I am not very tech savvy and do not know how to promote my books on net. I feel very handicapped and frustrated when i see my lesser endowed friends speaking on public platforms and getting famous. Please someone help and teach me how to promote my books.
What if you post your chapters on a webnovel site before launch?
I'm publishing an activity book, so I won't be able to give away hard copies to my launch team/for prelaunch (for reviews) etc like a standard book, where you can give a digital version.
Do you have ideas as to what I can do instead? I haven't ben able to find any info on book launches for activities, to find out what others do.
