My "mother" taught me to hate myself by making me the family scapegoat. They do this to transfer their own feelings of self-loathing that they refuse to feel or take responsibility for. She also instilled existential guilt (guilt for being born), she did this by mentioning numerous times (when we were children) how my sister and I had interrupted her promising sports career. Her loveless abuse has emotionally crippled me, and her abuse also set me up for further abusive relationships later in life with similar women. Self-love / Self-compassion is the only path to healing. But it is not at all easy to undo these core beliefs that were instilled from such a young age.

Thank you for your sharing. This feeling of lack and rejection is passed on from generation to generation. The generation that realises this has the ability to break through. I wish us all the best of luck in our practice. It's not easy, but it is possible.🫶

How fortunate I feel to have been introduced to Thay and Plum Village, by means of interdependent coarising. The subject and the object are one! Alas, freedom is possible!
Thank you dear brothers and sisters. May your days and nights be well and the health of your families be blessed.
    A lotus for you

Watching Lord Hanh Is Like Watching A Real Life Angel.
All divine messengers are like this, envied, misunderstood, and hunted all their lives. They are contraversial and are rare.
They always have this in common however; They create justice, love and bring us peace.
It is always a joy even hearing his voice. 🌧️

I saw a TH-cam ad for a charity with the message of what someone learned in residential schools: " I learned three things when I was there: I was stupid, I was ugly, and I would burn in hell." How many people learn to hate themselves from being in school?

3:48 "School teachers do not know how to love themselves and take care of themselves."
So true 🙏 The teachers in my high-school era always said negative things. I absorbed that so I suffered from wrong perceptions of myself. It was hard to get out of bad habits like drinking 🍺🍷

ok you really needed someone to go in the rows and tell those 2 to stop talking if they are gonna come to a sacred space. You could see everybody turning heads every minute and being distracted. Have some respect or go out!
