I have some 70´s tannoys, that i don´t know if their bigger but they have some equalization curves printed bellow the woofer with a thin line, all in a smooth shade of red ,above this in the lower part of the speakers not like those that have a big opening in the lower part to release the bass flow, it had in the back several positive conections for each equalization curve and the other regular controls for mids and high´s, only once i saw one speaker being sold on ebay , this on top of a industrial carrying packages troley , for me to do it , i have to ask help to three of my strongest friends just to lift it a bit to put it on wheels and if i take out the woofer it needs two strong men to carry it with dificulties after taking the bolts, than i can enter inside the wooden box and seat confortably inside on top of the foam, this are very rare and in size similar to those ,and there was a model a litle less big. This was in my father home studio he assembled it in 1970 ,and improved since then , the first big monitors were Altec Lansing, that i after sent them to be rstored i´m using it with a Exclusive Pioneer system bought by my father in the 70´s amongst others from diferent brands after the tannoy´s he bought some even bigger JBL´s for the studio ,now all is mine has he passed away three years ago, all that was related with music came to me has my Sister and Brother didn´t want nothing from his OLD equipment, this with dozens of reels and his record colection that joined with mine, i have now 9.856 records and recentelly i bought some records ,so it´s still increasing, the other day i put to play a LP from the 60´s and no noises were heard, it was a Joan Baez greatest hits released in 1969, this because i wanted to hear her version of the well known song "the night they drove old dixie down", in the 80´s bought more tannoys speakers but not so big, the lçast were those called Sixies that have a finshing in marble on top of the Hexagonal box with stands the 607, which in the floor part of the stands as the same pattern of marble as the speakers, those have a very perfect bass sound, the MK II didn´t had marble but a black laqued top
@@dattnguyen8553 yes i will , do you have above a email adress ,i have to take pictures to several equipment i´m using now as my main one is a exclusive pioneer series that i installed last month of may before i had a phase linear series two system, with a 79 technics turntable using it´s original stylus or cartridge, as they sound much louder and in quality as good as the better ones sold today but ,the new ones are less compatible some diferentelly produced records seem to sound very strange ,while others sound very good, the firs i bought was a grado prestige III Gold, this after reading the specifications and as i was told that the 2Mblack from Ortofon weas a sure thing ,only noticed that as the same frequency response as the old well known EPS-270ED to the 207 C cartridge, but also bought some MC cartridges but those MM or MC have it´s sound level output reduced to maybe 1/20 of the older than the year 2000 cartridges as i have in some integrated amplifiers or control amplifiers two very good phono inputs ,even those with a litle knob for mc output volume can´t be used only having a pre-amplifier to one of the aux. inputs but those were necessary for cd player or a minidisc player that it needs to be tuned as it stoped making sometimes the TOC reading so only need one input as i record them in other decks that i have one or more regular systems installed in the living room or garage or even the party saloon that is divided in two by a very nice wooden door with framed glass and professionally isolated to not allow the hearing of music in the second part of the room where i receive people and have party´s by the regular holydays, also have trhere a system with all sources i use so it can be palyed music for the party. was built in the latem 19th century the house i live in now so rooms? i have extra as my sons ,no longer live at home, and already had grandsons that are in a age that they should have their own sons but now 40 is the old 20 year old person.
