In defence of Miles' training suit, Peter doesn't have access to Otto's lab anymore so he can't fabricate a high tech suit like his White logo one. I have so much love for this game. I've only visited New York once in my life and I spend hours poking around areas I'd visited irl in the game world. I loved finding the time capsules and audio tracks, they really solidified Miles' relationship to his loved ones. I nearly cried seeing a deaf character on screen using sign and having Miles understand and sign back, because I'm hard of hearing irl. I took selfies in front of so many murals and locations.

The decoys are hardly useless. They distract opponents, meaning that they gang up on Miles less and, possibly more importantly, they can damage brutes and other special opponents, and open them up for Miles' regular attacks .
I watched the first Spider-Man retrospective and when u said “while ur clicking around you might as well subscribe” I realized this content more than deserves my sub not that I’m something special but you and ur content are so keep up the amazing work man 💯
It's strange to me, but the part of this video that stuck out to me was the critique of Phin's reaction after fighting the Rhino. Maybe watching the game being played rather than playing it (because Playstations cost money) affected the story's pacing, but I really liked the idea of Phin having compartmentalized her anger during the escape, only to finally unleash it when they were no longer in danger. It occurs to me though that a few tweaks could have strengthened this. Firstly, I think they made a mistake having her put her mask on prior to the attack. Had she been furiously shouting at him, with pain and anguish on her face, only to regain composure, put the mask on, and then threaten him, I think we would have been more able to empathize with her. Secondly, it feels like a cop out to have her angry for a seeming false assumption about him working with the Prowler to sell her out. Had they made it more explicit that she was attacking him because of things he did, rather than a mistaken belief, I think it would have been more impactful. Even just have her acknowledge that Miles got tricked, but then say she doesn't give a shit, because his actions still resulted in them being where they are, or that he trusted his uncle rather than her. Depending on how heavy they wanted to make the story, if Miles had been doing Spider-Man stuff prior to her brother's death, the fact that Miles didn't tell her back then meant that they weren't able to ask him for help. These accusations wouldn't be fair, but at least they would be reacting to decisions Miles made. All that said, I just found your channel, and I'm really enjoying your videos.
I too really love the Friendly Neighborhood App as a way to integrate mission selection fluidly into the world and into the character's actions. It's too bad the payoff on that series of quests wasn't as good as it could have been.
It's still weird seeing Peter's new face when everyone is the same. Super uncanny. If you prefer the new face, that is fine. I like the original face more. It wouldn't bug me as much if the others were changed, so it wouldn't feel out of place. (after getting to part he talks about it) Yea the aggression people were having against the devs is not cool.
People are impatient they plastered the face in the remaster and they had to deal with ps4 for miles morales let's see how it looks on Wednesday. It won't be restricted by the ps5 it'll be probably be even more detailed and expressive.
I never played the non-remaster. So, I never experienced the original face. But seeing videos of the original, I do wish they would have kept it. Putting aside the facial animation and expressiveness, I think the original just looks more distinctive.
One good thing about the developers on this is that they released an update like immediately when people started talking about bugs in their game I mean granted, they should've taken care of that before release if it was that easy but given the amount of time it takes other studios to fix even one issue in their games, I have to say that by the time I played SMMM (which was about a month after release) the bugs were mostly gone
Spiderverse is peak for me, it gave me my favourite version of Peter Parker along with a fresh understanding of what it means to be the Spiderman, took my boy to see it and after the film when we came out after I was freaking out about it more than he was, it made an old fan feel like a 15 year old kid again
waiting anxiously for your essay on SM2 after listening to this and the first game’s at work today. I’ve 100%d it and have just finished my NG+ playthrough, and i think it’s a great game with a lot more flaws than its predecessors. subscribed!
i haven't quite gotten to playing Mile Morales but it definitely seems like a fun expansion to the other Spider-man game. might be worthwhile to pick it up at some point. if i could levy one complaint about the games though is that every faction that isn't common street thugs seems to have the same "tons with metal with bright lights" aesthetic to them, which after seeing a lot of these enemies, gets visually tiring. maybe when the next game comes around we could see some more variety in how the factions dress.
I'm just now realizing as I'm going through my tabs that I have three of your long-form essays open and all but this one are paused just because I'm currently playing the others and don't want to be spoiled too much lmao. This is both a sign that your videos are really good, and that I need a job
Fin " plans" to carry out her " terrorist attack" on Roxxon plaza with zero casualties. That worked so well for her at Rio's rally and ( especially) the bridge. the fact that she still refuses to believe that her actions can( do, and have) result in unintentional damage and destruction makes her an unreasonable extremist by that point. Is she as bad as martin LI? No. Is she a " vigilante" like Pete or Miles? Not by a long shot.
I love your essays man and adore your deeps analysis. Just a small point though and also a talking point. First the point haha the Prowler track that Miles mixes at the end of the side quest is more reminiscent of old school 80’s hip hop a vibe that would’ve been the sound of 16/17 year old Aaron and Jefferson’s era if that makes sense. When compared to the orchestral/ hip hop mix of the original score and the licensed music it does sound like it pales in comparison but music like that paved the way for the amazing score of this game. Now the talking point. On the bridge where Miles discovers his invisibility whilst Roxxon are trying to apprehend him and the woman trying to film him remind me of George flloyd and moments like that. With the Roxxon officer telling her to get rid of the phone. Now I know the officer doesn’t know he’s black but it did make me think are insomniac making a commentary there or am I just reaching?! Haha Can’t wait for your next one man! More people NEED to see your work, keep going bro 👊🏽
That is SUCH a good point on Miles's track. Honestly feel like a right idiot for taking a pot shot at it haha. Also yeah, I totally agree. The part later when Krieger leaves the Roxxon goons alone with Miles one of them says "no cameras this time" which really reinforced how chilling Roxxon as a faction is at times. Grim stuff. Thanks for watching as always 🤟
No problem at all man it’s sometimes hard when we here the music that exists now and forget about it’s bare often hilarious and very humble beginnings. Finding identity through music and paying homage to the past is what I thought that track and side quest did so well and really moved me emotionally. The older generation passing on the building block to the “young blood” as Aaron calls him! Haha Love your other points man always good to have videos like this as a retrospective and critique of media that you feel passionate about. Huge well done on this one man! Would love to have a chat/talk/debate over games/ media think it would be an awesome chat 👊🏽
Also being able to play as a black Spider-Man as a black man myself with such a well rounded personality and identity just had me emotional all the way through. I adored it but it’s not without faults as you so eloquently put. 👊🏽
@@exogris yeah by the end the emotional resonance made me almost forget its technical issues. That wall of people standing against the bugle at the end - chills. You got a twitter?
Monty, your dissertations and watching through them have opened my eyes up to playing video games with a much more analytical view. It gives me so much more appreciation for every game, everything that's in them, and all the work the writers do. Gameplay is still my #1, due to my chronic goblin brain where I love satisfying gameplay, and in that regard Miles is WAY cooler and much more satisfying to play as than Peter in the 2018 game. I didn't particularly enjoy either game, though they were fun, but Miles improved probably in every way. I don't remember much of the story, except for how cool Prowler is, and that just goes to show how much better his writing is over Phin's, in the way's you've pointed out. To be completely honest, I totally forgot about Phin, and I only beat the game 3 or 4 months ago. Her boss fight is great though. I'll join as a patron soon because you've really helped me open my eyes to view games from so many additional perspectives.
If I have to see one more movie, or video game, where half of Spider-man's friends, family, or enemies find out his secret identity , I'm going to scream for an hour straight.
My favorite "Just the facts" segment is in here where Jonah says "Buenas Dias," maybe its the accent or the honest attempt at speaking Spanish but its hilarious and a bit humbling to a second language speaker like myself
It’s currently August 2023 and Spider-Man 2 is coming in just a couple months. I am so excited for this, I think Insomniac is fighting Naughty Dog for best developer and winning that battle with their more diverse and frequent game releases.
To clear up the timeline issues: MJ was the one going to Symkaria by the of the CTNS DLC, the irony is that they were discussing potentially taking a vacation beforehand, MJ just decided to go to Symkaria to report on the Civil War happening there not long after. That's why Peter says that it will be like a working vacation for them, they haven't seen each other in awhile. Also I'm pretty sure Norman's absence in this game is due to the fact he's very much in legal trouble and laying low, due to the whole Devil's Breath disaster being literally a war crime and that being public knowledge.
1:22:58 Where Insomniac succeeded at adding sympathetic elements to the likes of Doc Ock, Mr Negative, Harry as Venom and so on they failed with Phin who treats Miles lying to her about wanting to join the Underground and not telling her he's Spider-Man as worse than giving a gang high tech weapons that nearly killed his mother. Her brother Rick's just some guy we never get to know but we're supposed to care that Nuform made him ill and eventually killed him. Phin also doesn't care how many people destroying the reactor will kill as long as Krieger's one of them yet we're expected to feel sorry for her.
MCU Spidey just being Miles is so ironic considering Miles was just a worse Peter Parker. It's even funnier when you realize how much of MCU Spidey is put into Insomniac's Miles - down to him even having a skin where he wears his school's blazer 😂
Well wasn't this a surprise. I was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did, as I found the spectacle that Insomniac went for, and the way the animations chain into each other enough to make up for anything 'bland' about the combat...also I turned off the QTE's in both games. And the fact that that's an option is awesome, as it allowed me to watch the very nice cinematics, rather than having to watch out for button prompts. That said, had the same bug happen to me both times playing SM:MM, and that was the city going ghost on me, and me dropping through manhatten to my death after a mission. I know it was the same mission both times, but haven't played in a while so not sure which one. It was one of the later half missions. Of course, I found the time capsules not to my taste, compared to the backpacks. Those contained interesting lore tidbits and some foreshadowing of character's we'd see later. The time capsules were all about Miles and Phin's relationship, and it...well it did nothing for me I'll admit, as I knew who she was, and that made me less inclined to enjoy them, knowing they were there to tug at heartstrings without really doing anything to 'earn' that. And then there's the finale...I honestly was frustrated with it. Hated that Phin got the hero moment, after she refused to stop and listen at any point. And of course, there's the Underground. It's a criminal organization, it's hurting people, killing them in fact. She tries to justify this by the whole, need help to take down a greater evil, but yeah, she armed a dangerous terrorist group, so no, she does not get to go out a hero to me. She remains a villain. Mind, liked the game overall, and yeah, that postcard quest was great post game fun, and heck, I do like replaying the game with all the gamebreaker powers unlocked. Wish this and Spiderman were infinite level ups. Would have loved to keep powering myself up in S1 and eventually one shot everything with a webstrike. Oh well, still fun and likeable combat to me. To finish out...was not expecting that ending in the S1 video...I'm not in disagreement with anything said there, Bernie or Bust, still feel he got cheated in 2016, quite visibly so, and the Cheetoh Golem's recent actions paint him as as close to a comic book evil executive as possible, especially as he admits to doing things that are illegal, and then dares them to prosecute him. Anyway, good video, thank you for this set, will watch more.
So I didn't play Spider-Man (2018) due to not having a PlayStation and I wasn't planning on getting one just to play it, but as soon as this game was announced I knew I had to get it as Miles is my favorite superhero. I was trying to save up for a PS5 purely so I could play this one game, but then the first game's PC port was announced and I hungrily waited for Miles to follow. I finally got it on pc about 48 hours ago and have already sunk ~30 hours into it, mostly in one very long session because holy shit I love this game. I got 100% in my first playthrough before moving to a new game plus to fully 100% (200%?) it, and am playing said new game plus run while watching this video. Now, I usually never finish single player games, or if I do manage to finish the campaign, I won't 100% it like I want to. Mirror's Edge: Catalyst (which was my favorite game until now) is the only other game that's made me really want to just play more and more, and this game knocks it out of the park. My previous favorite game, which I loved for it's movement and was able to put aside it's faults, now seems dull after playing this. I'm loving playing this game for the second time in a row (literally no break I really should sleep it's been 24+ hours of just playing this game I can't stop) and genuinely don't see much fault with a lot of the systems. Take stealth for example: I absolutely love stealthing around and taking out enemies one by one in this game, something I usually get every bored of after a few minutes in other games. To me, the kinda dumb ai works in the game's favor because I can just rationalize the enemies as not being the brightest, hence why they're just henchmen. As Holo-Pete says in stealth challenge 1.0, "I LOVE the puzzle of it...." I agree that some of the enemies should learn to look up occasionally, but I honestly didn't mind it too much, it was really fun jumping down to take someone out, them disappearing into to the (usually metaphorical) rafters. I'm not gonna go through and pick apart everything you said in this video, I'm not here to tell you you're wrong as I see where you're coming from, I just wanted to share my opinion and gush about this game. I shall now proceed to gush about this game, spoilers from here on out. Ok ok ok so I've wanted to get into comics but haven't really so pretty much my only prior knowledge of miles was Into the Spider-verse and some videos I had watched about some of his comic stories. I didn't guess that Phin was The Tinkerer untill she showed up at the bridge and I saw her stature and heard her voice and I went "oh shit it's Phin" and then the reveal happened a few moments later and I went "yooooo I was right that's awesome!" I 100% agree that the pacing of all the reveals are perfect. I absolutely love the suits and my favorite one is the Programmable Matter Suit and I honestly headcannon it as the suit Miles actually ends with as it just fits well thematically imo. Speaking of which, I actually fought Prowler wearing the Purple Reign suit, which made the battle just that much more powerful to me, and it wasn't even on purpose. I just happened to be in that suit cuz it was my favorite one inhad at the time, then the Prowler lair stuff happened and it fit so well thematically it was so cool. Same with the final Tinkerer fight and the Programmable Matter Suit, it fits so well because Phin and Miles are like two sides of the same coin, but with Phin being darker and with less morals, so them both using programmable matter at the end really pushes that dichotomy and that's why I headcannon that suit to be Miles' "true" final suit. I have no idea if my ramblings are actually making any sense I just love this game so much and genuinely don't think there's much wrong with it, even after hearing and considering the point you made it this video. Maybe it's because I didn't play the first game so I'm not going into this one with those mechanics and systems in mind, but there's genuinely not anything that I can think of that I would change, aside from bug fixes. My one complaint is very minor and it's mostly up to me interpreting something wrong, but man I was really hoping that the "vibe the verse" mod would, like, cause the suit it's attached to to swap color pallets or animation styles either on a timer or randomly or even with using venom powers. Like, say I'm in the Programmable Matter Suit with that mod on and I venom punch someone and now it's a Spider-Man Noir theme, then I venom dash to someone else and now the suit looks more anime-inspired. That'd probably be a lot of extra work for the modelers and animators though cuz it'd basically be adding an exponential amount of extra suits for this one mod. Anyhoo I've rambled long enough I love this game the movement feels so good and I absolutely love movement in videogames (hence my previous favorite game being Mirror's Edge: Catalyst). I'll probably add more in the replies or as an edit if in wanna gush more, thanks for reading my probably unintelligible train of thought about how much I love this game lol.
I have nothing against Troy Baker personally, he’s a very talented actor. But fucking hell am I sick of hearing his voice in every goddamn game nowadays. Sony needs to hire some new voice actors because I am getting tired of Troy Baker and Nolan North
In regards to the timeline I think that the game seems to really need/want the Christmas aesthetic so perhaps they could retcon it that the last game began in october. Then have everything including dlc be finished by June, then this game can start in the first week of December. So there’s a year and change between the first mission of SM to the start of SMMM
I had to stop watching this on my xbox and switch to my laptop just to tell you that Miles' song is fucking FIRE and you need to get your ears check pal

Recently found your channel, loving the content and making my way through your critiques on games I've actually played (and I feel like the desire to watch more of your content is going to be an inspiration to finally finish Control and play Hellblade and Watch Dogs: Legion). But I just had to say that the rant about Peter's face and the drama around that really rubbed me the wrong way. Obviously making threats, especially over a video game, is absolutely inexcusable. But the way you equated people making threats to people signing a petition, or ranting about how people who signed the petition need to reevaluate their lives just seems dishonest and needlessly accusatory. Petitions are a perfectly harmless way for consumers to communicate with the people who create the products they buy. It's not like someone has to dedicate time out of their life or even really go out of their way to sign a petition. It takes 30 seconds tops on most sites, hurts literally no one, and allows someone to add their voice to a crowd in a way that doesn't barrage someone with incessant DMs/Tweets/etc. and also provides clear metrics on how many voices there actually are. And sure, there are plenty of other, more important things to worry about in the world, but that's kind of a weird thing to say in a rant that lasts longer than it would take someone to sign said petition, which comes in right around the two hour mark of an extremely well scripted, well edited video about a thwippy-thwippy bang bang punchy kicky video game. Like... if prioritizing *only* the most important things in life to the negligence of all less-important things was something any of us were doing, none of us would be here. I didn't sign that petition, although admittedly I probably would have if I'd known it existed because babyface Peter really is jarring and out of place in this world and story, in a way that makes the product significantly less enjoyable. But treating the idea of signing a consumer petition as if it's on par with literal death threats (and the way it comes off in this rant, it *really* seems like you're equating the two in a way that suggests everyone who signed the petition was also threatening the developers) is overdramatic to say the least. Anyway, that's my two cents. Again, loving the content otherwise, and looking forward to more! Just really felt put off by this whole aside.
Funny thing about your combat analysis: I actually forget you have the ability to remove weapons half the time in both of these games because of how much it wrecks the flow of combat for me. It just takes a little too long for my experience when I can get the job done more quickly with a quick air launch or swing kick. As for the Venom abilities, I did grow to appreciate each of them in their own way. Venom Punch is the simple brute attack for close range, Venom Dash is a great way to cross the battlefield, having a RIDICULOUSLY long range, Venom Smash is a great area of effect attack when you're surrounded and don't have Venom Blast available, Venom Jump is basically a better Suspension Matrix, and Venom Blast is an unbelievably awesome way to end fights. There were times where I would just drop into a crime and use Venom Blast to take out everyone in an instant. With gadgets, I never use these unless I'm actively going out of my way to use them because of optional objectives or benchmarks. Otherwise, I just wind up using basic abilities on Triangle and Square or Venom abilities, just because, again, it just breaks the flow of combat too much for me. I have yet to understand what purpose Insomniac intended to give Camouflage. It's fun to use in some side missions, but in normal stealth, it feels almost pointless.
Also, I didn't have any majorly funny glitches in this game, but one glitch I consistently run into during the Silver Lining DLC is a truck refusing to obey the laws of physics while you're trying to stop it and phasing through multiple buildings. It's not a game breaking glitch, but I just have to mention it for how consistently hilarious it is to see a truck go straight through multiple buildings while you're trying to stop it.
For the Comic side...Of couse he would be Spider-Man when he took over in Ultimate...but for God's sake...when they brought him over to the main universe they should have given him a different superhero name
Really small detail, but isn't it cool that Miles and Phin are kids of similar age, different gender and a close bond, but not in a romantic way? Feels fresh in a world where "boy meets girl" is shorthand for romance lol
God Miles' track being bad after the city sounds sampling quest was like a punch to the face, straight up I would've rather had his main swinging theme play
Questions. If Rio, Ganke, and Haley were supposed to be doing their best to evacuate Harlem ( instead of Rio , a dead, hero cops wife, using the police, for some reason) why the hell were they all at the ROXXAN center in the middle of the danger zone in Harlem for the finale???? It bugged me when Miles looked up and they were all there when they were supposed to be miles( no pun intended) away.
Can we put an end to this myth that police officers " put their lives on the line every day"? I've worked in EMS for over 25 years and I've had to treat exactly one active duty police officer for injuries, and he was not injured doing police work. He was injured using a snow blower. I believe we have had exactly one officer killed in the line of duty on my entire life in our county. A good police officer is a great asset for society, but, they really do not risk their lives " every day".
That is a damn good question. It's gotta be the first for me. I'm a sucker for a good Parker story, the end never fails to make me tear up, and the fact it had so much time to breathe made the impact stronger. Yours?
@@MontyZander that all makes a lot of sense, but I'm a miles guy, there really close but the faster stealth, the venom abilities which added some extra depth to swinging and was really fun for combat, and a story which was engaging though certainly worse the original, also the soundtrack was god tier in miles. Finally being a black person seeing Miles get that uptown pride suit makes me tear up on command, plus it helped me get through this awful year so that's a plus I guess
@@MontyZander Funny thing about the game, I didn't have a PS4 or PS5 so I didn't care about the game, but then I got a PS4 for black Friday and was going to get miles but the Gamestop I got it from was sold out so I got the original and I'm so glad for the fact since spoilers so both of the games actually brightened up my 2020
The ending for the game was great, but this version is definitely not the best miles. The beat Miles is the one from Spiderverse. And he's the best miles because he feels like his own character. So much about Miles in this game just feels like Peter Parker in a way. I prefer Spiderverse. Like in Spiderverse Miles is smart but he isn't a genius.
Not surprising, they have the lowest common denominator of creatives working on the comics, those hacks could never score a gig writing a game for Sony or writing a movie for Sony. Haven't you ever noticed it's always Hollywood mainstays writing superhero movies, and not comic book writers?
Ok. So the BLM mission is lazy. You just put out a couple of fires by mashing the web button. And as a black person, this felt very forced in and cringey. I don't need a super hero game to preach to me about a bunch of rioters.
@@nathanaelwaters2509 You're right. They're actually thieves using donations to buy themselves mansions and using the political atmosphere to make sure if they're ever held accountable for their actions it'll be "proof" of "institutional racism" strengthening their organization.
Man oh man. The "decision" portions of your videos does such harm to the pacing and engagement of your videos. At least you don't need to name each decision. You gotta get through that bit a lot faster. To me it's way too detailed in the first place
I find it crazy to find that so many people didn't like that they changed peter's face. I didn't even know it until after I beat the remastered version, and when I see the one on the ps4 version I just cant help but think it looks goofy, the one in the remaster looks more mature to me and fits his head shape. There was a freaking petition?! are you kidding me?? As far as bugs go, the only bug I recall finding in the ps5 version was while fighting Prowler, I used the venom rush move and threw him into a wall and he got stuck in the geometry and I could no longer fight him as he was basically off the map and at that point I had to reset the mission.
The representation in this game felt genuine. It didn't feel forced, hamfisted "look at our black protagonist how woke are we" all too common in the industry
I'm not interested in Miles Morales because he's nothing but sloppy seconds, that's why nobody got faith in him. he's not original. He's ridding on established character we all know and love, Peter Parker. And don't get me started on "they're afraid 2 call the police because they are poc" 🙄. There so many things wrong with that. did this universe established Peter Parker was working with police officers before? so I don't see what's the problem & why even bring it up? white is also a color. And oh we going to introduce hip hop in the St because Miles Morales ain't that's the biggest stereotype ever 🙄!
nah bro is racist, plus that's just black culture, he was raised around it, and you can't call miles sloppy seconds, he is a completely unique character, he's not like riri williams, he's a unique character with his own interests and hobbies, he isn't a scientist like peter but he's more improvisational and acrobatic, he's more laid back and calm and less awkward in casual situations, he gets good opportunities due to his smarts, peter fails because he's always spider man, miles is peter with balance.
dude stealth is fun and it dose not need to be complicated to the point where someone who want a fun little stealth fun to the point where theyll quit you just need to play thief on hard mode
I like the stealth in this game. It actually helped me other games... It was perfect to me. I don't usually replay games like that so if I replay a game over and over it has to be dope

Of course, I understand" *wink, wink* #later, at dinner# "So, Miles. How long have been together with your "FRIEND"? What do you mean it's nothing like that, miho? I see a little sumthin'-sumthin' every time you guys talk! Be a brave boy now, tell her how you feel!" *pinches Miles' cheeks*

Such an amazing city, I've been there a handful of times and there's nothing like it
I cant get over when Miles and Phin first meet and Miles acts like its been years and Phin just responds with "Months" XD

Me: -BRUCE CAMPBELL
Monty: “Ned! (I mean Ganke)”
Me: Oh right
The decoys are hardly useless. They distract opponents, meaning that they gang up on Miles less and, possibly more importantly, they can damage brutes and other special opponents, and open them up for Miles' regular attacks .
Maybe those of us who thought this, myself included, have been using them wrong
Legitimately some of the best videos on this site, I don’t understand how you don’t have at least 100k subs

I will always love the villain family member who puts, or at least, tries to put family first. Any good guy can be a good uncle, not so for bad guys.
Good video! You put in so much work and the editing is so well done. You deserve more views and a subs!
The Christmas mood in this game was great. Honestly I think it's the only thing I remember. But boy do I remember it.
One good thing about the developers on this is that they released an update like immediately when people started talking about bugs in their game
I mean granted, they should've taken care of that before release if it was that easy but given the amount of time it takes other studios to fix even one issue in their games, I have to say that by the time I played SMMM (which was about a month after release) the bugs were mostly gone
I feel like it was an issue introduced by the need to focus on the PS5 version, so the optimisation for the PS4 version became a post-launch plan
Very well edited intro, A+
Aw my dude, thank you! Still not 100% happy with my editing skills (or software) but majorly appreciate it.
Dude i cried when she said im sorry in the end that scene was just wow wow and wow
Haha
Can’t wait for your next one man!
Haha
Love your other points man always good to have videos like this as a retrospective and critique of media that you feel passionate about. Huge well done on this one man! Would love to have a chat/talk/debate over games/ media think it would be an awesome chat 👊🏽

Waking up this morning to your comments and eNgAgEmEnT was lovely. Appreciate it!
Thanks so much! What a lovely comment to wake up to!
@@MontyZander There's an Alan Wake joke somewhere in there. Up to episode 5 so far. Seriously tight game. Loving it.
I can't wait for your Critique on Marvel's Insomniacs Spider-Man 2!
Signing a petition is not "abuse", nor is it "harassment". The rest of it, I have no idea about.
They should put Phin from this game into the comics as a Miles spidey villain. Have her be inspired by the OG Tinkerer.
The end credits actually do show that Harry hasn’t been released yet. And shows Norman and Dr.Connors. Soooo
I love this game I'm excited for Marvel's spiderman 2 in the fall of this year.

The big problem with this game is the length. It should’ve at least been 10 or 13 hours or something.
Yeah - it wasn't even that the game felt lacking, I was happy when I put it down, but the story was affected by the quickfire pacing!
I love how your accent gets thicker the more ranty you get 😂
God Miles' track being bad after the city sounds sampling quest was like a punch to the face, straight up I would've rather had his main swinging theme play
7:12 don’t know if you talk about this later, but it’s pretty jarring how they changed the character model for Peter. What the heck is that about?
Hey Monty, were the Christmas markets you mentioned ever able to recover after covid?
Hey quick q, which of insomniac's spiderman games do you prefer?
That is a damn good question.
It's gotta be the first for me. I'm a sucker for a good Parker story, the end never fails to make me tear up, and the fact it had so much time to breathe made the impact stronger.

Are "small time" or "neighbourhood" heroes the hero version of a blue-collar worker?
21:12 Miles's supporting cast as a whole is bland compared to Peter's. Ganke's just tech support best friend.
Good work
The ending for the game was great, but this version is definitely not the best miles. The beat Miles is the one from Spiderverse. And he's the best miles because he feels like his own character. So much about Miles in this game just feels like Peter Parker in a way.
I prefer Spiderverse.
Like in Spiderverse Miles is smart but he isn't a genius.
It's funny to me how the movie, and video games treat miles far better then the comics did, and do....
Not surprising, they have the lowest common denominator of creatives working on the comics, those hacks could never score a gig writing a game for Sony or writing a movie for Sony. Haven't you ever noticed it's always Hollywood mainstays writing superhero movies, and not comic book writers?

I find it crazy to find that so many people didn't like that they changed peter's face. As far as bugs go, the only bug I recall finding in the ps5 version was while fighting Prowler, I used the venom rush move and threw him into a wall and he got stuck in the geometry and I could no longer fight him as he was basically off the map and at that point I had to reset the mission.

@@nopeyepp So you're a raciest. K cool.
@@metaloverload7374 raciest? Learn to spell.

prowler,s my fave
Well to be fair to the mcu miles started as just Peter but black

Dude i cant respect most adolts and i am one
dude stealth is fun and it dose not need to be complicated to the point where someone who want a fun little stealth fun to the point where theyll quit
you just need to play thief on hard mode
I like the stealth in this game. It actually helped me other games... It was perfect to me. I don't usually replay games like that so if I replay a game over and over it has to be dope
Well miles dose nothen but get in her way again and again
Monty, mah man, I love you to the moon, dude. But maybe you should stop saying sumthin'-sumthin', at least like that. Makes you sound like the creepy uncle or Karen aunt talking about your niece's friend.
"Aaah, and who is this fresh looking one, never seen you before. Oh! You are Miles' friend? Oooh, friends, yeah? Of course, I understand" *wink, wink*
#later, at dinner#
"So, Miles. How long have been together with your "FRIEND"? What do you mean it's nothing like that, miho? I see a little sumthin'-sumthin' every time you guys talk! Be a brave boy now, tell her how you feel!" *pinches Miles' cheeks*
dude face you lost in that comparison stop making more excuses to still have said complant about combat fuidity dude and you got you ass kicked in spiderman miles morales and got the nerver to say it needs to be harder :P
If there’s anyone getting their arse kicked around here it’s you, bud.
By the English language, no less.
