Well done. I’m a bit amazed. Isn’t this a kit? I mean, ALL the kits I’ve build come with servo mounts, steering links etc. Got a WPL c-14 waiting as a kit. Is this the same one?

I think WPL rushed the kit version out. So it's the same parts as the RTR toy version, but with what ever servo they could get hold of cheap too add to the kit.
I'd imagine if the kit sales are good, whatever they come up with next might have a bit more thought in terms of fitting hobby grade parts.

Just 1 change I’d use 4 evenly spaced tiny dots of super glue on each side of tyres to wheels so they can be removed carefully if necessary with a knife at a later date.
So were do i put the servo plug on the board or in the transmitter?

Does the new servo fit the stock RTR electronics? Can I just swap out and plug a servo in ?

MG90S is as close to a direct fit as you really get. You still need to trim some plastic of course but it's not too bad. On Thingiverse there are various mounts available to print with a servo mount built in.
Do I also need to buy a new radio control if I change the servo?
word of advice spare axles and gerabox on ebay bout £3 grab some spares while can. the gears in the diff are VERY fragile. tiny too much strain in stock config and they strip with far too much ease. had mine go on me
That is a very good tip. The spares are so cheap it's almost silly not to buy a couple or three.

Nice work! What paint do you use for these plastic bodies?
I tend to use Halfords car paints, they have a lot of colours to choose from and prices aren't too dreadful. If there's a specific scale colour I might splash out on a Tamiya spray can or two.
What brand is your servo tester? Very nice indeed.
Own brand and own design, I haven't got any in stock at the moment, but with any luck I'll be able to make a few up after I've made some mini light controller stock.

Is the steering motor works with the stock transmitter or not?
Swapping the electronics on the RTR version is a all or nothing, apart from the motor.
Transmitter, receiver, servo and ESC.
