House building in the jungle of Cebu, Philippines, part 1

I am building a house in the mountains of Cebu, in the jungle. There is no real road, no water pipes, no real electricity there. All natural and beautiful! I laid my eyes on a specific peace of land there back in 2008, and finally I am starting up building with the help of the locals. The only thing I purchased from outside during this project, were iron nails. The rest is taken from that area, and the work is made by the local guys. I chose to build like this to make it affordable, but also nice, coz I am used to wooden houses from Norway. Of course, here it is very very different in all ways. These guys are really though, cutting the trees with this mega big chain saw without any kind of protection. The chain saw is 22 years old, of Stihl brand.
