@@benbrook7970 nope they aren't necessary. Plain sweetcorn works amazing and if your bait is in the right place and the fish want to eat your bait they will.
For me, it's the term "it'll put more fish on the bank" on everything they promote. The cherry on the cake was a few yrs ago, when Ali had a barrow with an electric motor, and he said it! 🤣. More and more lakes are now banning plastic baits.

Caught so many fish using the slow sinking ib flavour corn in yellow not always small fish big fish too just got to be ready to catch a few bream
I agree with you. I love the slow sinking ib corn and where I fish there's no small fish so I don't need to worry about tench or bream. Not saying I don't like catching tench or bream.
Agreed... I used slow sinking a lot and caught well .. I like 1 bit hair rigged upwards threw the bottom of corn and out the top .. rather than sideways (if that makes sense) .. actually thinking of using it again like that on a big natural venue I'm gonna fish for bream carp tench.. I'm after anything that is in there basically.. thinking it might be a good choice.
One question I really want answering . Can carp see plastic corn at night when they can’t smell it if it’s not flavoured

All the fake corn I can find online don't float at all...even when advertised as such.and the fake corn never gets bites any tips on how to scent ur fake corn with corn scent
Are you using free corn in conjunction mate. Just use cell activator.
You shouldn’t even be having to sent your corn mate. It’s an impulse take, if they actually stopped and sniffed it they would not recognise it as food, despite the bs his talking, offer it to your dog and see what it does! My money on is completely ignore, unless it’s taken on impulse, and then it will be spat.

@@Alex-jr4bq when u use plastic corn it works best when you put it over a bed of corn than just on the hook I have found and I have caught a few using it now

@@vipernight2 the prices are getting ridiculous their hooklink's kink all the time and don't strip properly . Gone over to nash now amazing sharp strong hooks and hooklink's that are invisible in water and can give me a stiff or supple element with my rig's 🎣👌 and Them new korda kamakura's are nearly 10 pounds for just 10 hooks whilst nash pinpoint is only 5 pound for 10

Its a brilliant tactic when used correctly and safely in the right situation ! Im fishing a water full of American kray fish , and plastic baits are a must , at least on 1 rod , I wouldn't be able to sleep if I didnt think at least one of my rods was fishing correctly .
But after time the little buggers even take the plastc sometimes !!!!
