  • The Capability. A demonstration showcasing Northern Red instructors working side by side with students, executing a multi-breach multi-team hostage rescue mission.
Staffed exclusively with US Army Special Operations combat veterans, Northern Red specializes in developing core skills, application of skills and cultural transformations of law enforcement and security forces at a metro and national level.
BCM has partnered with Northern Red to provide the most reliable weapon systems possible, required for high-risk zero fail missions.

there's this guy that leans back on his rifle and sticks the muzzle past the door/window frame while slicing (if there's insufficient space due to a tight corridor or alleyway switch to pistol). doesn't shining the weaponlight into multiple doorways of uncleared rooms trigger the rooms?

  • @PaleoCon2008

Got a question. When they were moving between buildings, the video did not show anyone paying much attention to the roof tops, even when they were moving through alleys and down the streets. Did the exercise preclude any adversaries on the streets or roofs of buildings?
I've done a few tactical exercises and we always had to watch 2nd floors and roof tops as we were moving. Once, we failed to do so, and half our team was taken out in a few seconds.
Were they watching and just not on-screen, or did the exercise rules govern attacks from the roof?

Coming back to this video, it strikes me again how different this is to other examples. These guys like to tuck into compressed low ready and get nut-to-butt so they flow in and take both corners exactly same time, you just don't see the huge dispersion gap between 1 and 2 man like in so many other CQB videos. Seems like such a simple thing but it must be harder than it looks to eliminate that gap. There's another series I'm thinking of in particular, with guys that have a similar pedigree in a naval SMU but their clears show notable dispersion gaps, I guess it works for them since they're doing silent clears but it seems odd.

I'm surprised by the optic choices.
Looks like lots of 1-4x or 1-6x.
The greenish color of one looks like a Vortex Razor.
Are magnified optics really the popular choice in CQB scenarios rather than an Eotech or T1/H1 and their respective magnifiers.

This gave me an absolute great Idea!!!
    Listen here Ladies and Gentlemen:
-A Paint Ball War (Something Very Similar to what we just witnessed)
-A Civilian vs Military type of ordeal.
    - Civilians would be considered "terrorists" for they're holding Hostages, the Military must Save the Hostages.
-The "Terrorist" Population would consist of 25-40 Defenders and Five Hostages.
-The Military Population would consist of Two squads of Nine Individuals. (18 Members)
-Only Verified Active and Non Active Members of the Military can Join the Military Population.
-The Location would be an Isolated Building(s) that the the "Terrorist" would have control of. They would have 50 Minutes to plan for the Seige.
The Military would start with their planning 15 minutes after the "Terrorist" get to start theirs.
At the 40-50 minute Mark the Military would start making their way to the Building and do as They Please..with paintball guns.
~With the Odds Stacked against them, can the Military save the Hostages?
