DESCRIPTION
The LEM16 is one of the first Android smartwatches to be running Android 11. As a follow-on to the original Android 10 LEM15, it has a refined look from the front with the back and side buttons being different. The SIM card slot has been hidden (see if you can find it! I had to check the manual). The stock firmware has been tweaked for better performance. Like the LEM15, this watch includes heart rate and Blood Oxygen monitoring along with sleep tracking.

I have been out of the full Android smartwatch world since May 2020 when I switched to Garmin. How does this watch compare with the old Kospet Optimus Pro? I remember having poor battery life on that watch & the weather not refreshing unless I manually refreshed it, so apps not working that well due to the tiny screen (of course). What niche are these watches really made for compared to regular smartwatches with their own OS?
Does the lemfo lem 16 have the same features as the lemfo 12, which do you think is better in terms of features 🤔. The lemfo lem 12 allowed you to project videos and music via chromecast, can you do this also with the lemfo 16

Can't you download all the apps from the PlayStore (like also WhatsApp) or is this other app (36:06) for a specific version of WhatsApp to be opoptimized for the FullAndroidWatch?
That's a great question. I honestly don't know as I don't use WhatsApp. Anybody have knowledge about this?
Generally the answer is yes although there are some apps that don't work well because of the shape and size of the screen. Pretty much any app on the Play store downloads even third party launchers.
@@SWT the answer as Michael says is yes. I have wapp on my LEMFO 14 (watch I recommend btw). The only problem is that it's difficult to use Wapp. If u r in circular screen you can't see the arrow to the right to send the text. If u change to square screen you can see the arrow but it's very hit and miss as to whether it works, as the screen isn't always sensitive to touch. Maybe that's improved in this version. Ofc using the keyboard on a tiny screen is also difficult but turning on and off the voice recorder on Wapp is also hit and miss. Summary yes it works but not a recommended piece of kit for it.
Finally, that choice at 36.06. I can't access any Apps from that button. I think I could originally but , if memory serves, it's exactly the same as the THEN latest (non optimised) version of Wapp. That version then is updated (still non optimised) via the playstore anyway. I doubt meta have created a different and specific optimised version for android watches !!

No, no sensor for that (though I would imagine the camera could be used). Perhaps there's a 3rd party app for doing that on Android phones that could be put on this watch. Anybody played around with auto brightness adjust?
My bluetooth is having trouble connecting with phone.. Its not forwarding calls or texts to my phone.. anyone have a video on this?
Thank you for your never ending reviews. I have Lem 14 but unfortunately by time the Bluetooth connection gets buggy with my Samsung buds, I tried other buds and the same thing. The Bluetooth range gets shorter, I don't know if the transmission inside gets defective by heat or sweat. Anyways it's bad quality production. I don't know if anyone else experienced the same thing but I tried two different watches and the same thing happened. I hope they fix this issue in the newer models.

Not sure if this help .. eg : usually i would go to facebook , then when i decide to increase the volume i press the power button , the go to settings ,then when i want to go back to FB , i go to recent app by holding rhe power button and scroll down.... It the only way i can think of

After a year it's good to buy from wherever you can find it. Seriously, many of these watches aren't available after the first production run is depleted, so move fast if you see something you like. Otherwise, start surfing eBay.

What is a different between wear OS watch & android smart watch?
A wear os watched is designed and optimised for a watch. It has much more battery life/app optimization/many more whereas the androidnos watches might not be optimised as a wear os watch. Low battery life, not functioning Bluetooth, mnay more. Android os also relies on it's Manufacturers. And wear os get regular updates and the Android os relies again on its manufacture

These lemfo watches are extremly laggy with defect screens... Mine died after 30 days...

Got it yesterday. Charged to full before using and factory reset out the box. Wearing until it dies then charging to full one more time before "moving in"

I switched from LEM12 to Galaxy watch 4. It was too hard to get cell service for the LEM12 and as I use a galaxy phone I may as well stick with Galaxy and I have no regrets.

Thank you very much for your videos, I love your channel, I have a little suggestion, I just bought this watch, and it really disappointed me, the first day the battery lasted only three hours, and I was able to get two hours more with the extra battery, This watch is very far from being a replacement for your phone, it’s slow, And for example, if you install WhatsApp and try to use it, it’s almost impossible. The size of the fonts are so small that only a young people with good eyes could see them., You will hate writing on this mini keyboard, This android 11 is not the complete operating system, he has very few options of modifying things like fonts, or anything else. I found this watch so unusable, that I returned it at the next day. The suggestion that I want to make to you is that try to use the watch one or two days in your regular life writing messages or using WhatsApp, or any other software, and write your review according to it, because one thing is to see all the menus and other things to use it in real life. I was so excited for this watch and the excitement ended in less than an hour..

I prefer Firefox, but Samsung browser could be useful for people that have Samsung devices.
I like Firefox too. Many folks use Chrome as it can sync with their phone and computer versions pretty seamlessly across Google.

No banking via NFC capable with Android watches, so it's generally not included. Watches running on WearOS or Tizen OS support it, though.

Why these watches don't include the twelve o'clock main camera as the Lemfo LEMP/DM30??? I'd absolutely buy this watch if the camera was as good positioned as on my Lemfo LEMP watch.

Very true. I bought the LM16 and gave it away. Useless resolution and menu. I'm really wondering how much the chinese pay Mr. SmartWatch ticks promoting such a crap watch. I go back to Samsung.

It's a very good watch.
There are a couple of things to be fixed up in the software but on the whole, it is very good.
But it is all about what you want from a watch I guess.
I don't use a mobile phone when I wear mine. I leave the mobile at home.
I use voice control for almost everything, so I don't have to navigate using the touch screen too much.
But again, it's all about preference.
By the way, Mr Ticks does not get paid by anyone for reviewing the watches.
I've worked with him since 2015 and he does this because he enjoys it.

I am so sad with the way watches took, I just want them to be indistinquihsable from normal watch, no useless camera, whay they cannot make lite version without it.. 2 cameras that do nothing... I want watch phone but no visible camera and the add that ugly notch like in phons.. my phone has pop out front facing camera, 8gb ram, 256gb storage, Ive had it for 2 years and cannot awich to anothera because of those ugly cameras in display, just cannot bear it..
Totally agree. It's even worse because some countries won't allow watches with cameras to be imported, so folks living in those countries can't even BUY an Android watch because they ALL have cameras. I would love to see a 'lite' version of each of these without the cameras. Let's hope that happens soon.

I used to have a Samsung Gear S3 and wanted to try something new. The Lemfo16 seemed to be a good choice. But I'm extremely disappointed in every aspect. Samsung is simply much better. Resolution, menu navigation, keyboard, etc. Also, the Lemfo phone app is a big mess. They have two of them; Wiiwatch2 and GaoFit. .And the Lemfo map and navigation is really bad and useless. No comparison with Samsung. Of course, the Samsung watch is more expensive. But I will look at the Watch 4 classic 46 mm. You can get it now for under $200. My grandson gets the Lemfo :)

It's EXACTLY the same internal hardware than LEMFO LEMP.
But with more RAM and Internal storage.
I can't understand where's the difference between Android 9 and Android 11 on these devices.
I prefer LEMFO LEMP, by the cameras disposition and because it's more a dress watch than the rest of full Android smartwatches.
Does the battery on the Lemp last at least a day for you?
@@MizuTatsujin the answer is YES. I actually get up to one day and a half on 3g mode, maybe two days. You have to set the network on 3g/2g mode, otherwise the 4g network uses too much battery and won't last more than three or four hours as much.
Don't worry, the watch works perfectly fine on 3g mode too, even doing sports with gps enabled.
To web navigation works fine too, at least for me 😀
@@Wolverine1981 thanks for that info. I had a prime and a prime 2, both died from poor build quality (one from the magnetic coupling going back and the other just can't be powered on despite showing it's fully charged).
Been wrestling between getting an Lemp or the APPLLP pro 4 or just waiting to see if we get any 2023 releases. How long have you had your Lemp and is it holding up still?

I've had this watch since last eight months and I haven't any problem at all. It was buyed on an AliExpress official LEMFO store. It works perfect until today.
Before that, I had another LEMFO Lemp buyed on 2022 August. That watch was buyed on an AliExpress LEMFO resaler, 'Brazil LEMFO store'. With that watch I had IMEI problems on my country, Argentina (duplicated IMEI), and later I burned out the heart sensor board (witch include the battery voltage regulator) due to charging it with a power supply greater than 1 amp (from a modern cellphone).
On both watches I hadn't any corrosion problem or pin damage at all. I recommend you to buy only by the official store LEMFO on AliExpress.
Android watches are not being modernized last year but I think they are a better and more complete option than wear os watches. They are really like wearing a cellphone on your wrist.
