Through out your professional career, there will be a time where you will have an opportunity to go to a networking event. Whether it's for recruiting (to find a new job opportunity) or to just meet new professionals in an industry, networking events are something you can not avoid. But what if you are an introvert that hates networking events? Don't worry I got you covered. I'm also an introvert that has been in working for 6 years now and I was forced into many networking events. I have many tips that I have learned along the way. Everything from how to approach people, what topics to talk about and how to eject from a conversation! Hope this is helpful : )
🌊 Hi everyone! I'm Mika Kim and I'm currently a senior software engineer at a FAANG company! In my prior life I used to be a consultant at Deloitte. I created this youtube channel t share my experiences from the tech industry, and consulting. I used to and still use youtube a LOT to gain info on fields of interests and I hope these videos do the same for you too! 😊

Thank you Mika for such helpful insight. My first networking event was really intimidating due to which I missed many upcoming networking events.
After watching this video, I realized the best way to cope with these kind of situations is to face them. Thanks a lot for such informative videos.

can we get an update if waterloo cs is still worth it? currently an Ontario gr 12 student with a 99 avg and if I get in I want to know if waterloo cs or cs in general in still worth it especially due to the current discussions surrounding a recession/tech layoffs. mostly in the long term i will want to try and start my own business but i think a key step would be getting some solid work experience first so I'm really not sure if I'd be able to get that. also i want to move to the us one day, i don't want to stay in canada.

You can find them normally through career fairs, job posting boards or company’s website/social media!
