I'm going to a networking event tonight and gonna meet Deloitte employee, I am excited and bit nervous.. this video is exactly what I needed, Thank you Mika Kim😊
Thank you Mika for such helpful insight. My first networking event was really intimidating due to which I missed many upcoming networking events. After watching this video, I realized the best way to cope with these kind of situations is to face them. Thanks a lot for such informative videos.
The way I screamed when she said Waterloo 😭 my only reason for being here at uw is for the networking opportunities I can get here…..it’s my first one this Saturday and I’m freakin out because I’m genuinely terrified 😭
@@onceiwassevenyearsold6963how did it go? I’m so anxious about these kinds of things, but I’m graduating soon and I need to push myself to meet people. 😭
thanks for your tips Mika! it also helped a lot to relate to what you are saying once you've mentioned that you have a script, practiced a couple of times and the video actually went through post-production as you seem really confident on camera :)
Hi Mika :) Thank you so much for making this vdo. I am a new grad and will be joining a networking event tomorrow for the first time aloneee, which ofc super nervous. Your tips calm me down a lot and I hope everything will be great
Thank you for the tips, they are quite useful and insightful, especially for persons who are introverts but would like to make connections with other professionals.

can we get an update if waterloo cs is still worth it? currently an Ontario gr 12 student with a 99 avg and if I get in I want to know if waterloo cs or cs in general in still worth it especially due to the current discussions surrounding a recession/tech layoffs. mostly in the long term i will want to try and start my own business but i think a key step would be getting some solid work experience first so I'm really not sure if I'd be able to get that. also i want to move to the us one day, i don't want to stay in canada.
How can you be introvert but know all these tricks at the same time ? Supposedly your shyness stops you from talking to people and finding out all these tips by yourself...

my thinking immediately after reading the title of this video: "well first you'll need an rj-45 cable..."😭
Where even are these events ??
You can find them normally through career fairs, job posting boards or company’s website/social media!
You are an introvert yet you talk and act like an extrovert
