Basically, the materials held up well. If the tent had been occupied regularly and the snow had been moved, this would have been good to go for a long time in the woods.
Joe - We used to tie avalanche ribbon / cords [about two-feet each] to our pegs so we could find them later. Worked well for finding them at night when we had to bug out. I enjoyed this series very much. Stay safe and healthy.

I think I would have been tempted to leave the tent there till spring and let the snow melt down. Quite a job digging it free. Amazing that Wolfie found his bone under al that snow! On to the next adventure!

Reminds me of my uncles stories about the flatlanders taking their fast snowmobiles up to snow country in UP of Michigan in the pre groomed trail days. Yea, they got stuck and educated....
If I had a couple grand just lying around this would be the tent I'd get! The fact it's still standing after all that snow is good testament to how well it's constructed. My budget is considerably smaller tho unfortunately 😕

Hi Joe. I had my pomoly teepee up for 3 months and it was snowed on and freezing rain and wind and stayed tight and not one leak. It only cost me 300.00 Took it down yesterday to put another tent up. Have a good year Joe
I enjoyed this series. As much as I don't like driving in snow where I live, I enjoy camping in winter conditions and just walking in the forest in the snow. There's a very small chance we will have snow this winter. I'm on the New Jersey, USA, coast.

Wow, can't believe that tent held on that long. That was amazing since the amount snow pack on it. Silly puppy and his bone they say a dog can find the things they bury long after they have been covered over. Should have his bone near the tent he would have dug it up for you. Wolfie is good companion to have for you. To bad that were not able to use it longer, things come up. Not to mention these storms have been a unusually normal probably better to wait till they calm a little. Just to be on the safer end of thing for you, your puppy and guy time friends. Although spending time family is always fun. Can't wait to see what you come up next or revisit.
