I got mine about 2 weeks ago and I love how comfortable this is. The issue I have is that my handles prints really bad. Apparently there’s no claw to go with this. I’ve tried centering it but still have the same problem. Has anyone else had this problem? I want to love this holster, but have to return it and get a regular Kydex holster.
Can you pair this w/ Sport Tuck Belly Band by Alien Gear? I understand you have a bundle going on but the design of this holster is clean and slick vs Alien Gear ShapeShift 4.0 IWB Holster. Have a sig p320 I'm in shape flat stomach but the weapon sits really far down so the handle is flush with my pants top and it's impossible to angle any further than I have so I can grab the grip and draw without having to move my pants out the way, am I missing something so I can adjust ride height? Appendix or kidney it's thesame issues.
What about ride height and a claw? Literally just got the Roswell not long ago and should have returned due to this. While I love AG, claws are needed on your gear.

It looks like belt clip provides a space to tuck a shirt into. I dont tuck often but need to sometimes. If there is space, can someone get a decent shirt tuck into it?

I really wish you guys made a claw for this holster as it would cut down on printing. I enjoy this holster, but I will say that it does a bad job with preventing printing.

I have a alien gear for every pistol I own. My rock 1911 my dagger conpact (both 3.5s) and a shape-shift for my micro dagger I had one for my baby desert eagle polymer 3 for years. but now that I have a holosun pid plus I have to have one custom made😪. I really wanted to stick to alien gear. I don't see why they can't just add a slot for the light on the 3.5. Or even something owb that's what I would prefer. Although all kydex isn't very forgiving.

I’ve found that the back pad is breathable, and that’s good. But, the issue is the pad isn’t soft at all on my stomach/skin and it causes discomfort for EDC. I will keep this product to wear with a tank top under my t-shirt which will solve that issue. But, it could use improvement on the pad, plus, and good cant option and height adjustability for sure on the next version Alien Gear makes if the company wants to give customers what they need.

Can the depth of the AIWB holster be adjusted? I like to ride my current setup high, to where the bottom of the holster is not pushing on my thigh when seated. The barrel of my shield is almost below the belt line.

How do I tighten the apendex holster to hold the firearm tightly. Currently it is loose fitting and falls out when holding upside down is like it to fit snug
Hey there! You'll want to utilize one of the two twist locks, which look like little gears and hold the pieces of the shell together. They have two flat, square sides, and you'll gently remove one of them and insert one of those sides into the square hole found on the front of the shell, underneath the little alien head symbol. Turn clockwise to increase the retention, and make sure to test it, because a little rotation goes a long way!

If it wasnt for this video I wouldn't know how to tighten the retention clip/click for IWB Appendix Carry Holster. There is no instructions that I saw in the box or leaflet. I was fixing to get the belt clip and switch to OWB carry because it wasnt holding the weapon tight enough. Something told me look around for Description of product Video. Yall might want to add the instruction how to take twist lock and use as tool like I just saw in this video(thankfully).
Same here I called the company and asked a rep. Had no idea how to turn that square. It’s a comfortable holster and allows for easy grip purchase and draw, but it is much more bulky than a minimalist kydex holster. Seems like this alien gear holster will print far too much in summertime. I guess nothings perfect,but I don’t want to look obvious.

Does anyone know if you can use the shape shift with an optic? It would be on a 9mm p320 compact/carry or even a full size? (havent got one yet but its most likely going to be my next purchase)
I wish the top part of the padding near the sights was a little softer ( edge stitching). It tends to rub on stomach. It would be nice to adjust the clip so I could have it ride a little higher. I did adjust the cant but it didn't help. My belt is kind of old and flimsy. I'm sure that does not help. I carry a Shield 40 Gen 1. I could wear undershirt ( ok for winter but not summer). I had it for about a week now. Not sure if I'm going to keep it or not.

Hello Tim, We understand your hesitation about the product. At a glance, it may seem bulky, but if you take a look at the dimensions in the link we've provided, you will notice that the addition of the passive retention unit adds no extra depth to the overall shell. If anything, our design provides a slimmer profile that is less likely to print or won't print at all. :)

Hello @JK 241, Our Appendix carry holster unfortunately does not have a rotating wing or claw. However, the point where the shell attaches to the holster base, there are two screws in that piece that can be removed and adjust to cant slightly forward or back. You are more than welcome to test it out risk-free for 30 days to see if you like it, or return or exchange it as you see fit.
I use this holster, you won't need the claw. I know it looks weird but I promise, just try it, and you'll see what I mean. For as big and bulky as it looks when you slide it in you'll see what I mean. The retention is absolutely awesome and adjustable and I have never worn anything this comfortable at appendix

Genius rear trigger guard cover. This is the first hybrid holster I’ve seen do that without having a bulky full kydex shell.
Super high quality holster. I just got it for a birthday present for the 4inch Springfield Xd 9mm. Way more comfortable for my EDC.

Without adjustable ride height, it makes this holster tough for appendix carry. as is rides WAAAY too high

Yall might want to add the instruction how to take twist lock and use as tool like I just saw in this video(thankfully).
Same here I called the company and asked a rep. Had no idea how to turn that square. It’s a comfortable holster and allows for easy grip purchase and draw, but it is much more bulky than a minimalist kydex holster. Seems like this alien gear holster will print far too much in summertime. I guess nothings perfect,but I don’t want to look obvious.
Can I tuck my shirt in. Like if wearing business attire?
can this be lowered for deep carry ? i have my cloak tuck 2.0 set for deep carry at the 7 o'clock position i want this to be the same .

Does anyone know if you can use the shape shift with an optic? It would be on a 9mm p320 compact/carry or even a full size? (havent got one yet but its most likely going to be my next purchase)
I wish the top part of the padding near the sights was a little softer ( edge stitching). It tends to rub on stomach. It would be nice to adjust the clip so I could have it ride a little higher. I did adjust the cant but it didn't help. My belt is kind of old and flimsy. I'm sure that does not help. I carry a Shield 40 Gen 1. I could wear undershirt ( ok for winter but not summer). I had it for about a week now. Not sure if I'm going to keep it or not.

We understand your hesitation about the product. At a glance, it may seem bulky, but if you take a look at the dimensions in the link we've provided, you will notice that the addition of the passive retention unit adds no extra depth to the overall shell. If anything, our design provides a slimmer profile that is less likely to print or won't print at all. :)

Is the clip removable to replace with a different clip if need be ?

is there a wing or claw?

Our Appendix carry holster unfortunately does not have a rotating wing or claw. However, the point where the shell attaches to the holster base, there are two screws in that piece that can be removed and adjust to cant slightly forward or back. You are more than welcome to test it out risk-free for 30 days to see if you like it, or return or exchange it as you see fit.
I use this holster, you won't need the claw. I know it looks weird but I promise, just try it, and you'll see what I mean. For as big and bulky as it looks when you slide it in you'll see what I mean. The retention is absolutely awesome and adjustable and I have never worn anything this comfortable at appendix
Will this fit my new Gen 5 Glock 26?
