Auguri Nona Severina! I so enjoyed watching and listening to her - she may not have made the pasta spicy but you can tell she has a spicy tongue and has enjoyed life!
What a pure soul... I had a really rough day... and when I saw this video, her way, the calm voice, witty jokes, I was at peace... I wish to cry myself to sleep in her lap and to wake up to the smell of her, with love, made and cooked pasta. Blessed are the ones that had the privilege to be a part of your life Severina T_T
A nice Christmas treat. Thank you Vicky, your team and all the Pasta Grannies for taking us all on a pasta fueled journey through 2020. Looking forward to more in the coming year. "Lang may yer lum reek!"
Thank you! I'm glad you found the time to check in with Pasta Grannies - we've got lots of great pasta and amazing grandmothers (and a grandpa) lined up for the first few months of 2021. best wishes, Vicky
Such a heart-warming episode. Perfect for the winter! I love her personality, energy and disposition in life.. ❤ I know this episode is already 3 years old, but I wish her more years to come..
I was wondering why I kept seeing videos of grannies making pasta and then I realized this whole channel is dedicated to that. I'm not mad about it, subscribed.
My mom was born in the Philippines, so it's pretty common in Filipino culture that on your birthday, you are served some sort of a noodle dish. Noodles represent a long life and many years to come.
Who could ask for a nicer Christmas day gift than this? These little tips that the grannies provide are invaluable. Thank you Vicky and team for all the effort put in to keep sharing these stories with us during 2020.
Vicky, thank you, as always, for your wonderful videos. They truly have made getting thru 2020 more bearable. And a hearty happy Birthday to Severina!!!
tanti auguri a te! And that’s about as much Italian i learned from my year of language at uni 😂 i hope this beautiful pasta Nonna has a new year full of love and life and many more to come! 🥂🥂
Severina was born same year as my mother. I enjoy her positive and happy attitude. Her food looks soo delicious! Its torture, watching theses food videos and not being able to taste the food, lol! I love to cook and a recieved a pasta maker for Christmas. Watching theses videos is motivating me to make pasta! Kind regards
ha i am the first to like this. I have never been first on TH-cam. Life is good. And as always the granny is wonderful and the food, on this occasion, I can make. It will be my non-Turkey post-Christmas meal :). Merry Christmas everyone, Happy New Year, and happy any other holiday people celebrate.
Wow! I have been watching this channel for a while and this is the first easy recipe that I actually could create. Thanks for producing an easy one for once.
Hi Andrew, I hope you enjoy making it 😊 I try to mix the different pasta shapes up; it's been a bit difficult for the last year for obvious reasons. There is a playlist for 'easy to make' pasta shapes we've filmed over the years, which could inspire you. Happy New Year and best wishes, Vicky
Ms. Vicky, another great recipe & please pass along a happy belated birthday to Severina & let her know she has a great sense of humor & personality. I would say she is a great dancer & tell her if i were here husband, i would tell her no dancing with the young men also, just the older ones, lol. This looks delicious, God bless all, & Happy New Year !
Coincidentally, I just got the Pasta Grannies cook book recently, and made this exact dish tonight for our Xmas dinner! It was delicious. First time I’ve ever made pasta by hand. Thank you!!
hi Angie, the colour of the yolk is down to the diet of the chickens. Free range chickens with access to leafy greenery and grubs will give you the best coloured eggs. Although some (not all) commercial producers cheat a bit and add (natural) dye to the feed. best wishes, Vicky
WOW, what a great video with warm and kind people, I am positively surprised and :)) Within these hard times for allo of us it it good to see those clips and I wish you all the best for future ;) Warmly greetings from WIESBADEN in Germany :)))
They were attracted by the beautiful yellow pasta and then so horrified by the traditional cooking method of "dump half a pig in it" they couldn't control their fingers, maybe? I'd never dislike a video for showing what it says on the tin (showing old-timey recipies as nonna makes 'em, beef fat and all) but as someone who's been veggie long enough for my instincts to adjust to the fact I can't digest it any more, putting the traditional shredded animal corpses in looks to me like garnishing a lovely dish with a bag of dog poop would to meat-eaters. This channel is always inspirational in re:pasta-making, but eghk, so many peasant recipies are about (rightfully) using up last winter's pig.
I disliked the video cause big chunks of veggies in a ragù is a HUGE no-no and tagliatelle should be made by hand from start to finish. Also, it's nonsense to put celery and carrots after the meat, cause they can't infuse their aromas into the oil and lose their water. Probably she left Emilia-Romagna before she could learn how to cook traditional dishes properly or maybe she's forgotten how to do it. All in all, she's a nice example of the fact that not all the Italian grandmothers can cook well, or perhaps she just can't cook traditional food from Emilia-Romagna, I don't know....
I think sometimes the algorithm serves up a Pasta Grannies video to someone who isn't interested in what the channel is all about. 😊🌺 best wishes, Vicky
The little joke about making it with her hands was gold.
She has such a positive vibe to her!
I loved the joke and the story of her husband only allowing her to dance with old guys.
The smiles this channel brings!
hi Josef, I'm delighted you enjoy it 😊🌺 best wishes, Vicky
So true .... so true !!!
Yess
Auguri Nona Severina! I so enjoyed watching and listening to her - she may not have made the pasta spicy but you can tell she has a spicy tongue and has enjoyed life!
Oh god, this woman is amazing. Beautiful, funny and wise. I love this video
I loved that little bow she did at the table, so humble
Severina is very cute with her dancing, her jokes, and her self-deprecating way. That pasta look good, too.
she has such a nice calm presence.
Totally understand. I miss my Granny, and sometimes you just need to be a little kid sometimes and be taken care of,
Severina still has such a youth about her! Thank you for sharing her with us.
Just fantastic! I love her kitchen, her food and her! Xx
Happy Birthday, Severina! Cent’anni!

What a lovely personality! The food, I'm sure, was delicious but I have a feeling this beautiful lady was the star that day.
She is so cute. Sad family history though. But look at her having fun and enjoying cooking. God Bless Her.
A free, beautiful spirit. Brava!

Those eggs! They make the tagliatelle so much more appetizing! I wish our eggs were like that here in Canada. What a sweet woman!

Merry Christmas to you too! best wishes, Vicky
Why would someone dislike this wholesome vid
My grandma makes it 2000 times better...
@@AndreaMelk92 does that mean this is bad? lol
I disliked the video cause big chunks of veggies in a ragù is a HUGE no-no and tagliatelle should be made by hand from start to finish. Yum. Thank you for sharing.
One of my favorites...
Lovely! Like Chanel #5. Adorable.
As wholesome and content can be
Che bontà!!
Beautiful I recently transitioned from a hand crank machine to one of those KitchenAid pasta makers... they are beyond convenient..
