Alan and Martin sing background together. This song is really much better live than on the album. I listen to the 101 CD a lot. This album closes their first decade.
The new single "Ghost Again" is brillant.
That's the irony of Depeche Mode, for being electronic, they're one of the most brilliant live bands. I'm pretty sure the really high notes are sung by Martin.

Ohh i have already reacted to it. I done it just before i listened to this one, But the video was blocked by TH-cam for 48 hours 😡😡😡. So it will automatically unblock hopefully today or maybe tomorrow? Fingers crossed no more problems pop up between now and then 😅

I particularly like this song from 101 because it was quite surprising that they played this song on the MFTM tour as it was only a B side, and DM usually don't play B sides (apart from some exceptions in the 80s and early 90s, like Shout, Ice Machine, Now This Is Fun and Route 66). And not only that they played that song, they even made a great live version from it which is significantly longer than the studio version which is only 2m50 of length or so. Instead, there were some songs from the MFTM album that they didn't play live (I Want You Now and Little 15 were missing in the setlist the entire tour, even though Little 15 was even a single!), so it was quite surprising that they did Pleasure Little Treasure.
It's also remarkable that it is one of the "brightest" MFTM songs. The entire album has some kind of dark atmosphere (at least in my view), also mixed with optimism (especially in NLMDA), but basically it's dark, but Pleasure Little Treasure is no dark song at all, it is a very nice party tune actually, one of the most danceable songs of the band after the Speak&Spell album.
Moreover, it's one out of three songs on the MFTM tour where Martin played the guitar (beside Behind the Wheel and Nothing). The MFTM tour was the first tour in general where they had a guitar on stage, it was the beginning of an era that lasts until today.

The tour 1987/88 (101 in the video)... Mart plays at the first time a guitar on concert - Tour...great. AND at the Main-setlist was ever, never been played after this, a Single - B-Side (except FOTW 1993), I think.... By the way... in the 80s and until 1994 was even much better as STUDIO... THX Alan.

I’m assuming the drink Alan has near him was either coffee or tea, I can most likely guarantee it’s tea considering that they love their British tea haha
Hey Seph, you must react to their cover "Never Turn Your Back On Mother Earth" from The Sparks. It was recorded for the DM fan club for the '87 Christmas. In fact in the Tour for the Masses the played the song and Alan and Martin do some vocal harmonies for that song.
Martin released it on his 1st solo album.
Its also on Martins counterfeit ep : )
I once read that it's one of DAVE'S favorite songs and Martin sang it for him at a birthday party.
It looked to me that the cup was taped to a holder, that cup was a plastic red solo cup and you can see a white paper cup inside of it. Probably the best way for him to not have his drink fall out of the cup holder. That's my guess.

A lot of people here are saying the (high) voice is Martin but I'm pretty sure it's Alan, he has (had) a pretty strong voice, there are lots of demos here on YT attesting to that
Alan does somtimes chorus, and very high vocals, in company of Martín,,, and like i told you before, live show much more better than oficial version, maybe nit so hugh audio quality but better show stage,,, i ll put a New vinyl video from 101 dedicated tu you maybe tomorow

If you are shocked seeing fans run on stage you clearly have not seen any footage of Morrissey on stage,lol The drink may have had stuff on it to keep it from tipping over on equipment but also there could have been a product label on it they had to hide since they were being filmed possibly..but who knows.

Yeah. That was freakin shocking!! But to be fair. Ive only ever seen them young!? But most people have watched them grow up, so its not as much as a shock ya know? 😊
@@SephPlays The Ghosts Again video deliberately makes them seem old, if you watch the performance from San Remo yesterday you'll see they really aren't that decrepit (and sound brilliant still).
101 was when Dave became a great front man! He is so entertaining and his voice just exudes sex! And I am a straight guy saying that!
Yeah seph they are old so worth getting a ticket for Twickenham before they stop. Also dave dose stuff will the soul savers. You may like some of their stuff. And you may enjoy the elvis cover on the latest album : )
I really wish i could 😢 but due to work and life commitments i cant go this year!! And i know for a fact im going to kick myself in the future for missing out!! But at this moment in time its impossible for me 😔
@Seph Plays yeah work gets in the way of everything. Hopefully they will do more date's at the end of the tour. The problem is they seem to do a 4 year cycle of album releases so the next one they will be really old 😕
