Why did you have to pause between pouring the hot water and starting the espresso shot when making the Americano? Are you not able to start the brew boiler while the steam boiler is filling back up?
Technically yes. But unadvised as you are splitting the pump pressure between refilling the steam boiler and brew boiler (pouring shot). Because there is only 1 pump, advised to wait until steam boiler has auto filled before pouring shot.
Great machine at that price point except that is does not have a brew pressure gauge. Can you comment on how, if possible, to ensure the brew pressure is optimal when pulling a shot without a brew pressure gauge? Thanks.
The easiest way is to get an additional portafilter with a pressure gauge attached in place of the spout. You then can pull blank shots with it periodically to ensure brew pressure is correct. If you need to adjust, you have easy access to adjustment of the OP/expansion valve under the cover that adjusts via a single screw.
Seems fairly quiet for a metal clad vibe pump machine. Would you say that's accurate? Or perhaps the nature of the sound is just more pleasant compared to others. From watching videos other machines can seem obnoxiously loud, especially with cups on top. Any other recommendations for comparatively quiet prosumer vibe machine?
It looks like it has great functions. But one would think that for that kind of money its look is quite pedestrian. The difference between the black plastic knobs and wooden knobs and handles in looks is quite different, but the upgrade to wood is way overpriced. I recognize that a wood turner probably made them by hand, but I'm certain they could be sourced much cheaper and installed as part of the machine at the same price. How much does it cost to change a plastic portafilter handle to wood?
Great video. I have this machine and make good coffees, I had to increase more pressure in the steam , and now I got nice cappucinos and lattes. 1- I dont like much the E61, in what is it better? 2- Could you do a review of the inside and mechanics of this machine? Thank's
Yeah... The steam boiler on this machine can easily handle up to 1.5 bar, though seems to ship set around 1.3 bar. Getting that little bit of extra capacity out of the steam boiler helps compensate for it's small size, if you don't mind the water coming out of the spout a little hotter. Fantastic compact dual boiler machine. Probably the best at what it does. I think conventionally, the E61 is the better group as the circulating brew boiler water would ensure more consistent temps. However, with the PID, a lot of this goes out the window (as it allows you to easily compensate for any systematic drop in temp). But the ring group is literally welded right to the boiler sitting on top, so I doubt the drop in temp is substantial. What the ring group coupled with smaller boiler does get you is fast heat up times. You'd need to wait longer to pull your first shot with an E61. Again, a segment winning machine.
Great machine! How many grams is the portafilter for the doble shot? I saw in the description is 14 grams? Could I still put 18 grams of coffee in there? Do you remember how much grams did you use for that doble shot of espresso? Thank you very much
Really loved the review and since it was made almost 2 years ago was wondering whether Would you still recommend this machine.... In India we have a lot of issues with servicing in case of malfunctioning or breakdowns.... So would like to ask you as to how reliable is the machine. After going through a lot of other reviews of various other machines, this looked like an obvious choice...
Could you please explain if preinfusion time is adjustable in that machine? Is it in your opinion better than Lelit Elizabeth or Bianca? What is warm up time?
It's not that limited. You can fit most standard height mugs up to 4 inches if you angle them when when placing under and removing from under portafilter. Limited to about 3 inch height if splitting shots. And if you need to dispence directly into something taller occasionally, you can slide out the drip tray and place the glass directly on the counter.

I’m between the pro 300 or Lelit Victoria that has more features that can manipulate Espressos to make them better. However pro 300 has a much faster heat up time and a better build quality. Difficult choice both machines have plus and minus
We only carry a few models of Lelit and Victoria isn't one of them so I can't directly compare but the Pro 300 is a solid little machine. Profitec is one of the the most reliable brands on the market too.
I would think that Lelit Vic compares more to Profitec Go while Lelit Elizabeth more to Profitec pro 300. Another one to consider is Rancilio Silvia pro x
If you dispense the maximum amount of hot water, it takes a couple of minutes to refill and reheat. If reheating after partially refilling a much smaller amount due to running out of steam, it is much faster. Maybe about a minute.
Hi, what is the pressur for coffee side, is it set to 9bars, and is it adjustable? Thank you

They must be a pre-infusion when brewing let's say 3/4/5 seconds?

It's quiet compared to other machines with vibratory pumps. The pump is isolated from the frame by thick rubber damping.

Looking at his face, he wasn't very happy with his latte art 😂
Just kidding, thanks for the review!!

Yes, you can put 18 grams into the portafilter.
And you can buy addition standard 58mm portafilter baskets of various depths that will hold over 18g with the largest

Profitec reliability is pretty good but it's still best to deal with a reputable dealer because every machine eventually requires servicr
@@iDrinkCoffeeCanada Thank You 🙂
Does it have pre infusion?
No, the pro 300 does not have activate preinfusion
Could you please explain if preinfusion time is adjustable in that machine?
Is it in your opinion better than Lelit Elizabeth or Bianca?
What is warm up time?
It is a standard semi auto machine. Without any preinfusion control. A single toggle switch turns the pump on and off to produce the shot.
Beautiful espresso shots.
Hi, do you have the black boiler pressure gauge for sale?
Is it just me or is the height of cups pretty limited? Good video.

what kind of base is the M54 on? Not pictured in the web site photos?

Did I see a Faema E61 in the background? As an enthusiast I love to have one at home. Please, do a review of the singel group model.
Hi, while I am familiar with the Faema E61 classic it is not a machine that we carry.
@iDrinkCoffeeCanada Will my Breville Smart Grinder be enough if I buy this machine?! Wasn’t planning on changing the grinder.
Yes the smart grinder is capable of an espresso grind.
