My workouts for the last 3.5 years... 5 pullups, 10 pushups, 15 squats, repeat. I think it's a Xfit workout. Every once in a while I build up to a max rounds in 20 minutes. Sometimes I do 3-9 rounds or so with about a 30 lb backpack. Amazing workouts and all you need is a pullup bar over your door and a backpack.
I love it! I haven't gone for max rounds in a set time yet but I've definitely pushed it in terms of total rounds and added weight. Keep up the great work!
The max rounds in 20 minutes is a tremendous cardio workout assuming you can do enough pullups to keep it going. That combined with the weight vest (or weighted backpack in my case) workouts really give you a well rounded system.@@CinnabarCalisthenics
Very good 😊. The more deeper and wider I go into these "workout" routines, the more impossible they become. Keeping it simple is sometimes really the key
How do you like the mini bars? Was going to purchase it now, but then i saw they just came out with the new mini bar deluxe, which is the same exact bar but with wooden birch handles. Not sure if you have had any issues with slipping from the original bar
I love them! No issues with slipping at all. I've actually done a full video review on my channel. th-cam.com/video/FyXzEscouJk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Xw6DQjmVmjDcnKRe
At 00:50 you ask the question "am I hitting every muscle group?" then you answer "no, but I don't really care!" You actually are hitting all of the muscle groups with 3 basic compound exercises. You may not hit every muscle, but you will hit most, and some more than others.
As someone who only trains for rings statics elements I agree and disagree with you. 1. You say “skip the skill days” while say an iron cross can be looked at as “a skill” it’s a skill that requires muscles and strength in specific areas, so while for you maybe a skill is a handstand that’s fine but for me what you are promoting doesn’t necessarily apply not at face value or as bluntly as you may be putting it. The Band assisted Cross holds and R PL isometrics is the workout. Different individuals and athletes for different goals. That is not to say I don’t do my basics I still do them and still progress the overload through basic exercises but again when the main focus is Ring elements you can’t say “yea just skip that and do pull-ups, push-ups, and squats”.
You may disagree with me but I don't disagree with you lol. Nothing you said contradicts what I said in this video. Someone like you with your goals is not who I was speaking to in this video. Here's a direct quote from the beginning: "...whether you're a beginner or struggling with motivation I would highly recommend simplifying your training..." Make sense?
@@CinnabarCalisthenics for sure you are not at all wrong in any way, infact I agree with a lot of what you said. I am just seeing it from one perspective of a very dedicated and disciplined individual dedicated toward their craft.

Simple and consistent > complexity :)
Congratulations on the baby! 🎉
Thank you!!

Thank you for the motivation!
Any time!
pull push legs and core... that should be simple and minimalist enough

I think he means when you do no have any motivation and want to rest.

Do you recommend any specific weighted vest?
I have the Kensui vest that accommodates barbell plates of various sizes. I _love_ mine!
I love the MiR Weighted Vest I'm using in this video. It's the best.
I got mine on Amazon: amzn.to/3RbD5CV
