- Death is, no doubt, my favorite "extreme" band. I consider Chuck Schuldiner a genius and his passing is one of the deepest wounds in metal history. I can't help but wonder about the music he would be writing now.
Listening and playing Death makes me emotional not only because of Chuck, but also because he died only 3 years before my dad did (almost on the same date, too), both to cancer, and my dad was the one who got me into Death's music.
Tuning for this one is D standard (low to high: D G C F A D).

Literally. That solo in the middle is like a fucking piece of poetry in it if itself. Lest the lyrics and composure of the song in it's entirety.
Sadly this kind of music has only been "branded" for the outcasts of our modern society. Only to be replaced with shallow consumerism and brown note fart noise.

After 20 years now is the time to find out my neck only has 23 frets
23?? That's weird haha, they usually have 22 or 24. Some old Fenders have 21, but never seen a 23! This SG I used has 22, but Chuck's BC Rich had 24

@@nathanrossiter122 hey man, it was all digital. I think back then it was Amplitube 3, tweaking the hell out of it until I got it close enough
It was a real "moment of clarity" hearing this....

Mucha nostalgia, me acuerdo la primera vez que escuché Death, era chico y mi hermano me habia prestado un walkman y un cassette de la banda (que precisamente era Sound of perseverance) y literalmente me voló la cabeza, era tan increible que basicamente escuchaba el álbum unas 5 veces por dia

Thank you! It was all digital amps. This was a while ago so I don't really remember the settings, but pretty sure it was amplitube 3 (or maybe 4 already) and tweaking a lot!

In my opinion the best song on that album. TSOP is an album that is so good, it is difficult to put into words just how good it is. I go to see them live in that last incarnation sans Richard Christy. If Chuck were still around, he'd probably be playing a kind of "classic metal" ala Priest, Raven, Exciter, Anvil, etc. Great cover man!

Geronimo Egea I started playing guitar a year ago,but after some injuries and some muscle problems I stopped playing, I'm back where is was in terms of speed,any tips on how to increase my speed, endurance and most importantly I can't palm mute as well I used to...It doesn't feel too good man!
