I installed Fyed os on my Hp probook 4540s but it doesn't show up in boot menu. As if grub or refund can't find it.
I always have boot in from "Boot from EFI file" option.
Is there a solution to it?

With Google Play this is worth installing. Any older Laptop, Notebook or PC will do. You can keep everything on the USB and work from it anywhere, all your settings and installs are on the USB. Good tutorial. Thanks.

@@Simon22145 i use windows 8.1 with start is back peogram so it brings back the start menu also you dont have to use the new stuff in it so stop complaining its bad if you dont have to use it its just there

I did this to my lenovo t420 it ran games pretty well but when it came to playing a video well it just crashes for some reason. youtube, google, opera nothing, the thing just crashes when i try to play a video. Any idea why this this is happening and how to fix it? Thanks.

I'm running Android x86 on my wife's old laptop and videos run fine. Maybe give that a try. I just use it once in a while for TH-cam music since the CPU is really old and won't be able to handle other stuff.
@@FrankTheGuy i plugged my laptop on ethernet and it worked fine on youtube but when i try wireless it just freezes and crashes for some reason. though its been a while i went back to windows.
@@anxiety1209 the thing that I find with Linux is if it works, great use that. If it doesn't just use another variant/distro. Don't waste too much time on troubleshooting. Well since u went back to Windows already, whatever works I suppose.

I have a problem in fydoes first of all when I boot it from my usb I didn’t get the install option then I just loaded to fydoes then it was sooooo laggy that you can’t even use it if you can tell me a way to fix it I would be happy
FydeOS with a flash drive will run slower.
But everything will also depend on your flash drive (for example, if you have USB 3.1 and the same port, then FydeOS will work much faster).

How long do I have to wait in the booting the kernel I've been waiting almost 2 hours also I've flashed it with Rufus cuz the app u said kept saying error I even re-download the file just to be sure same happened so yeah I used rufus
Hi, I only recommend using balenaEtcher to install FydeOS (it's on the official FydeOS website).
Everything was done the first time without any problems.
Try to use another flash drive, or try to repeat the same process on another PC or on another operating system (for example, if you have Windows 7, then try the same on Windows 10).
trygiving balena etcher another chance, if not, amke sure u leave rufus options at defualt.

Did you choose the partition where Fyde OS will be installed?
Whether your files are saved depends on how you installed this OS.
If there is hope that your information has been saved, you can remove your hard drive from the laptop and connect it using a Sata adapter to another PC or laptop.
So you can look at the remaining information.
If all files are lost, you can try to restore everything using recuva (a program for restoring deleted files).

Fix touchpad problems
If your touchpad stops working, try these steps:
Make sure there is no dust or dirt on the touchpad.
Press the Esc key several times.
Drumroll your fingers on the touchpad for ten seconds.
Turn your FydeOS device off, then back on again.
Perform a hard reset.
If you have more than one account on your FydeOS device, delete the account that has problems with the touchpad, then re-add the account.

@@AndriyTech so you need to flash chromebox on your chromebook make sure you back it up before you do just in case you like to go back but i doubt you would want to im typing this from an acer c720 chromebook running fydeos the audio and touch pad work perfect but not on the dell 3120 im still trying to figure that out but yes chromebox is your answer to install it on chromebooks

Chromium will not integrate like Chrome anymore. Google stopped that last year so it will not sync with your accounts or remember passwords.. Tbh it's not worth using chromium at all!!!
