@@ETAPRIME I've been looking into this also. I have an old S21 Ultra and I want to install Windows 11 on it. Wipe android and just have it run Windows like a regular computer. Not much luck so far though.
@@ETAPRIME There are ways to install Windows 11 natively but it's limited to some Android phones. Renegade Project is pretty great on the Poco X3 Pro.
But yes Virtualization should work on most of the phones.

Wonder if something like this would work on a Chromebook that is no longer supported, or what OS would be a way to keep it going?

I just installed it and i love it, it really brings life back to show hardwares. My only problem is that the touchpad is not recognized and I couldn't find a way to fix it.
Have you tried ChromeOS Flex it may solve your Touch Pad issues.
@@larry8300 No, in Linux it works finet though. Anyway, I finally could fix the touchpad issue, I did so many trials and errors that I am not sure if I can duplicate the procedure 😅

Funny. I was thinking of putting this on my old quad core. But it's 1st gen. The oldest recommended cpu for this is 3rd gen... That my old DVD ripping/recoding monster machine is now to slow for an operating system for slow computers.....
the few downside to this was no keymapper for games and like my wifi randomly disappear every 20 min and i have to turn of and on my wifi to get it back
tho its has better apps support than things like prime or phoenix os many games that crash on those works here

Guys, there’s like a hundred questions to “does it work on this? Does it work in that? Can it do this? Can it do that?” I swear you all got to be windows users. He states explicitly in the video you can boot into it in live mode. That means you can use it without installing. This is so you can test to see if it works in your system without losing your installed OS. Boot into and look around. Try it out, answer your own questions. Chances are if you can’t boot into it or hangs after log in, it isn’t going to work for you. Please, most Linux distros work the same way. Become the black sheep and try it out. All you got to lose is your addiction to being a product and making your machine work for you. A little effort is all it takes to enjoy your life again.
Just to see how it would work… do you think you could install this onto a Steam Deck? I think it would be fun just to see how it would handle it.
If i can remember correctly you said we where booting from the USB drive to test the OS so if i decide to now fully install the OS on my PC do i have to start the process over and choose to install it on my internal drive or there's a faster and easy way to do it.
Hey, been watching you for a while and this is the video that sparked me interest so I tried it but I wasnt successful.
I finally got to install fydeos inside usb flashdrive and plugged it into my laptop. Changed the boot thingy. When I opened my laptop, it shows a gnu grub menu where there are 4 options of what I can boot which are: Fydeos image A and B and Verified fydeos Image A and B. Every single one of those ended up with a black screen with an "_" or underscore on the top right of my screen.

thank you very much for helping me to install this OS. I had been stuck for awhile now. I had installed Chrome os Flex on top my Wijndows 11 because it was driving me crazy. I came to realize that I was stuck there also. No playstore for 2 years now. Looked on you tube for help but all I could find was guys yelling load and I could not understand their English. Anyway, I think I lost windows am not sure. This is much better for an older guy getting close to that

@@soltanabas8443 I used a small display with touchscreen that connects via hdmi for video and usb for the touch and worked out of the box. So probably yes on a touchscreen laptop. I used an Acer CXI2 Chromebox
No worries about end of support after a certain period of time? Also, could this be installed onto an actual Chromebook?

Can you please Make a Video with Linux Bodhi or Linux Lite. They are The smallest and fastest Linux versions. You can install them on old Computers that are even 20 years old. Could you please Make a Video and show if emulation and gaming is still possible or even Steam. Also to install Lite Linux versions would be great for old Smartphones. ive got 2 little 14in Hp laptops my mom got off QVC,and wow were they ever slow, so i put Tiny 11 on them, but i think im going to put FydeOS on one of them and compare them to see whick i like better

I got a question.. what if the pc doesn’t have a hard drive/OS ?? I was gifted a pc with no ram or a hard drive .. all I know it had a 2gb ddr3 stick of ram.. I want to install this OS and give it a try!

hey i usually use winsetupfromusb for muti ISO usb stick installer. do i have to use etcher and would my stick not lose data/reformatted by doing so?
Fyde OS is much better than Chrome OS Flex, because it is much more stable, safer and most importantly, there is no data transfer to google here, so privacy is private and protected, that's super correct, super great.
Hello Sir, I am really glad to see this video. I have Acer E5-522G Laptop which is pure AMD laptop with Discrete Graphics. AMD A8 APU with R5 Graphics. I will try this on my machine. Of Course, the main focus has always been the challenge to run the android apps on AMD machine. Especially mine. It had been failing in the earlier versions. Hope FYDE OS has given a solution which suits my machine.

Laptop it was $400.00 but it was so slow so I have been using it for testing lots of operating systems as well as fydeos and next I’m going to install tiny 11

I would have liked to find a version for my Windows RT tablet. I presume it's possible to recompile this OS but I'm not expert enough for that and above all, I don't have the time. Thank you for introducing us to this OS.

I prefer Brunch myself, it's more vanilla Google experience. And I just installed it on my flash drive and use it with persistent storage.

When I played my media videos off my hard drive the movie and TV shows worked well however it didn't show through the hdmi on the monitor T. V. Right out the sound came through only the os spash screen was present which was weird. I don't know if a driver is needed or some program needs to be initialized. The fydeos does not work to well for my old laptop because the screen is going bad.
Guidance on how to change OS from Linux Mint to FydeOS? I’ve tried multiple times to boot from Sd card and usb drive with no luck. Always boots into Mint every time. Boot order doesn’t change anything and laptop doesn’t have secure boot

I got some ideas of my own, but, it would be similar to making your own custom compact PC. Khadas Edge 2(with both the cooling system and monitor + bluetooth connected android game controllers) + Fyde OS.
How about loading this OS on the Lenovo Ideapad 1i and seeing how well Fyde OS runs on it?
I try to install but It will not recognise my wi-fi dongle so it is impossible to install FydeOS or ChromeOs Flex same with linux mint and Zorin. The wifi connect with windows without issue. This is the issue with going Linux it is so complicated when you have an issue to solve. So I reinstall Windows on my computer.

I Installed this on Acer laptop and android subsystem would not configure at all kept buffering even after installing it with the Gapps first then trying to install the android system just would not work tried for three hours but no way.

Is there a way to get the real Chrome browser on fydeos? It only has chromium and chromium doesn't allow you to sign into the browser itself and get all your bookmarks. I know installing Chrome via Linux is an option, but it's slower and support seems a bit dodgy for things like the webcam and audio. The Android versions don't seem to work either

I tried to install it on my UM690HX but when the usb booted into the os installer i got a green screen and nothing else happened.
Do note your google account won’t work as they will ask for a phone # and the code doesn’t even come through!
Hey has there been any seen restrictions on game access? I'm really just trying to play pokemon unite on pc, and I would so make a portable build of fydeos just to be able to play when I want. I've had horrible luck with bluestacks and ldplayer I also own a copy of mantis gamepad but I wouldn't know how to get it without logging in to my play store.
fyde os is linux, so apps like PPSSPP should be download as linux versions or as android? thats kind of confusing

There is no .iso file, It seems it is is not possible to install it as a vm.

It works really good besides the wifi, the wifi connection is just so unstable for me and keeps disconnecting and I cant even finish installing gapps. Im doing a dual boot with windows 10 and fyde os

Could you do a video on installing winesapos on a PC with nvidia GPU. Its another linux distro based off of steamos 3 but more desktop centric and up to date packages. It says it supports nvidia and Intel along with amd.
