  • Just like a bottle of wine, most chocolate bar purchases are predicated on the aesthetic of the packaging. In this episode we unwrap the intricacies behind a good chocolate bar package. We analyze how Manoa Chocolate's packaging has changed over the last 8 years and what other chocolate makers are doing to make their bars look pretty. #ChocolateMaker #BeantoBar #CraftChocolate #DarkChocolate

Hi, I am from Uganda and we have lots of organic cocoa beans which we export. I have a dream of establishing a craft chocolate factory and your videos are a great inspiration. Hopefully I will see my dream come to reality. Thanks for all the work you do 🙏🏾

The video was great and enjoyed the packaging layouts. We have been looking for a supplier of the fold over such as yours but nobody seems to want to share their source. Why such a big secret in this business. A bench top equipment video would be great for items such as a continuous temperer and a panner. As always, great videos.

Thanks! You mentioned cutting dies. Do you make your own dies and how? Do you cut packages yourself or do you order them from someone?

Great vid, love the channel. Not asking for any IP, but what % of bar cost (excluding labor and burdened cost) is reasonable to pay for packaging? We are moving away from foil and folded outer label to a die cut envelope and our first round of estimates are ridiculous. Just trying to gauge reasonable cost for a die cut envelope with standard materials

Hi Dylan how do you decided on the size of your bars? Do you sell only the 50g ones or has a variety of sizes? I’m struggling on the bar sizes and then the packaging due to that. Any enlightenment will be great. Thanks

Does any outer card stock package producer sell a blank dye cut tab envelope that can have a sticker or stamp or signature put on it for us “Give it Away Home Makers”? I am using clear cellophane sealable bags which are great but as you know I am sure get marked up quite easily by the bar. Thanks for your freaking amazing effort on our behalf.

    Hi,
It's possible for you provide details about biodegradable cellulose packing you do for your chocolate bars.
I find that very useful when you want to protect your chocolate from moisture and don't want to add non degradable plastic in environment.
I tried to search for the details online but couldn't find the same.
    Required your help.
