    I really enjoyed this one, it felt like they really tried to fit it in with the Clone Wars/Rebels style as if it could slot neatly into canon. The Inquisitor was great - add them to the list of REALLY COOL Inquisitors who get killed instantly lol

    I love how unbelievably smooth the kill on the inquisitor is. We see a ton of decapitations in Star Wars but I don't think I've ever seen someone's throat get slit by a lightsaber before.

      Yeah, I was Stunned at that...stunned, because in some ways it's more gruesome because the guy lives for a brief time.

    I just realised they used the "there's always a bigger fish" trope in the beginning, but for the focus of the stormtroopers. First, they focused on the sister, but then the brother made himself a bigger priority for them. He then escaped when the bandits became the new threat.

    Honestly love that every episode has a good portion of a different culture in it. This episode was absolutely steeped in indian culture!

    Very trippy getting to see the Clone Wars animation in this stylized format. Almost felt like a standalone episode that took some inspiration from films like RRR. No complaints. The duel even had a few split second moves that we're taken from the Ahsoka versus Maul fight.

    A lot of returning Clone Wars models AND the "all of this for some sweets" line is a callback to Ezra's "you did all this for some fruit?" line which was immediately followed with Sabine's Rising Phoenix painted on the side of the train

    This one is in my top 2 for the season. Loved the setting/story, music, animation. So well done, so bittersweet

    88 Picture : What if Star Wars, but more Indian styling?
    Star Wars : It is.... acceptable.
    Me : Just another corner of the galaxy being filled.

    Star Wars has always had Indian influences:
    1. the Force is an Indian supernatural-Hindu concept.
    2. Sankrit and Hindi names/words are common with the Jedi.
    ex. Shakti, Yodha, and Windu

    14:15 I agree with Eric, a lot of the models looks exactly from Bad Batch / Tales of Jedi. I’m wondering if LucasFilm Animation outsources animation to 88 and the used them here…

    One of my favorites from Season 2. This TOTALLY fits in to official Lucas-verse canon. To me, this takes place 5 years after Order 66...the Brother is 17 and the Sister is 12. Hopefully, in around 19 years time, these siblings will get to walk together in public, during the time of The New Republic, and meet Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and Senator/Force-user Princess Leia Skywalker-Organa-Solo. Hopefully this secret, remote order of Force-users will live to see the end of The Empire. When I watched this, part of me thought: Wouldn't Lor San Tekka come in handy, as an ally to this sect of Jedi/Force-users?...He has the perfect cover, being a present Founder Of The Church Of The Force, during the time of The Empire. I LOVED the animation style of this short...I absolutely agree about this very much feeling like an episode of either The Clone Wars or SW: Rebels...now, it could also fit with the style of TOTJ. Yes, the Inquisitor was very cool...as many of them are.
    May The Force Be With You, Wave Squadron Brothers.

    I don't recognize the alien at 5:35 but he's stuck in my head ever since seeing this episode. Any of the other *_Star Wars_* loving folk out there know what he is?

    • @sepho_
      @sepho_ ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe a Nautolan (like Kit Fisto)

    • @PierceArner
      @PierceArner ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sepho_ The Nautolan generally have bigger convex eyes, whereas this character's are sunken in with that purple ring around the pupil and are much smaller than his prominent cheekbones, and I've also never seen a Nautolan with a spikey beard before. The hands and head tendrils _do_ seem very similar though, so maybe it's still within a range of morphological differences like Jar Jar & Boss Nass.
      Wookieepedia's summary currently has the two approaching them listed as both being Belugan, which is _absurdly incorrect._ Not only do neither of them match that appearance at all, but the two in that scene don't seem to be of the same species at all, and the second one just looks like he's got cybernetic attachments on his eyes and a normal beard.
      He's got SUCH a cool design, though I was glad that Eric at least was struck by it when watching this episode.

    • @sepho_
      @sepho_ ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PierceArner I agree that he looks more crustacean than mollusc, also I didn't noticed the double nose. Tho I will say, Kit Fisto is rocking some sharp cheekbones in the clone wars serie. In the end I like the design too, some Davy Jones looking Sikh

    • @PierceArner
      @PierceArner ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sepho_ Kit Fisto definitely has strong cheekbones, but I'd meant more that this guy's stand out and make his eyes seem more like human eyes and less like protruding lens caps. He really is like a crustacean Davy Jones-esque Sikh, and it's _SUCH_ a cool design.

    The train chase thing would be inspired by the Dacoits of Chambal Valley. And, a lot of designs/looks are inspired by different Indian cultures.

    This is the only one that just didn’t really connect with me and I really feel like it should have, so I don’t know what went wroooong in my brain tbh. Something about the pacing of the scenes or something just felt a little bit off to me in spots and it made me feel weird. I don’t know if its anything more than that, but I feel like it’d have to be and I just can’t put my finger on it. 🤔 I hope to be able to grow into liking it more tho.

      @lisamarieligreci-newton7804 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, this one didn't totally do it for me either. I think it's in part because I wasn't sure what the connection was between the bandits and the rebels, and I also found the girl a bit annoying. However, I did love the vibe/style of it.

    • @inspectorwhoreacts
      @inspectorwhoreacts ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Probably because this feels like the middle of an arc episode, we don't see the origin of the journey or the aftermath.

      @@mxstrikkI never said that they looked like Maul and Ahsoka. But some animations during the fight are the same as the Ahsoka vs Maul fight. For example at 9:20

  • @tristanmilner9511
    @tristanmilner9511 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    If you slow down the footage, there is a covering that extends from both lightsabers to make the cane. While this does resemble The Clone Wars animation style the most, it's still my least favorite. I think it's the sister being too stupid. Using her Force powers in a crowded area twice in a day's time. Just asking to be captured.

    While I enjoyed this episode.. I didn't really like how forced the Indian culture was implemented into the episode. I want star wars to feel like a different galaxy. I don't want any culture being "represented" in Star Wars. Just keep it star wars because otherwise it doesnt feel like a differant galaxy.. this felt too forced.. over all a petty and small critique. fun episode.

      So the Asian culture that's represented in star wars from padme's court,to her wardrobe and look is taken from a real Mongolian queen Genepil,Darth Vader's helmet and outfit was taken from Japanese samurai armor,the empire firearms was based on German weapons, Jamaican, eastern cultures are heavy in the star wars universe since the beginning according to George Lucas but I see you didn't get the memo and just remained ignorant in these types of things.what the brown skinned people in this must've thrown you for a loop...smh
