Well, The games you mention in this video are restricted playing PS platforms or inside a dedicated VR headset. Myself, I do STEAM games on my PC and recently with the Quest 3 via a link cable. I have always just done PCVR games, will always do so, and do not have a Play Station or want to play games on a mobile phone. There are many good recent PCVR games that rank right up there with ones mentioned in this video. I always try to catch on my STEAM games on sale. I really like the games I have and still learning them. One you mention is Alyx Half Life on STEAM. Far as SIM racing games, there are very good STEAM PC racing games that are just as good or better than Play Station Gran Turismo 7 game. I do SIM racing all the time, either online competitively, or doing racing games offline against AI cars. The category of games I have are Formula 1, Nascar, Indycar, GT racing, and Rally racing games. All are awesome in in VR. Thanks for the video. Take care.
The games you're referring to are restricted the PCVR ecosystem.....see what I did there? The original, non-vr budget for GT7 takes it over and above other racers in terms of content and production value.
Did the standalone version of Robo Recall get an update for the Quest 3 by any chance? Or it just looks better with uograded resolution from the original Quest to the Quest 3?
I loved Stormland as a single player shooter, but it had too much fog resulting in muddy graphics for Airlink / Streamed PCVR. That game should be redone with a cell shaded motif and it would be great on Q3.
Only thing that is missing now is a GTA VR game, wish the developers would make one, its about time for that game to come out, the last good VR game to come out was Half Life Alyx, four years ago

Thanks for these recommendations of games :) I am an Escape From Tarkov player, so I like realistic shooting games, are there any good games in this genre?

@@Gamingwithmatteo311 I don't understand what you mean. RE 4, GT7, and RE Village are #1, #2, and #3 for most sales for PSVR2 games and are made a fraction of the cost.
Hello. There is something that has never been discussed in the world of VR: have you noticed that in VR, when we are close to celestial bodies in outer space, the impression we get is actually that of being in front of miniatures of them? For example, if we are in orbit around a planet, we see something resembling a ball the size of a building ten meters away; if in front of a galaxy, we see a cloud of dust occupying an area no larger than that of any room in the house. And so it goes with any other cases in this context. There is, in short, no real sense of immensity, which I find very frustrating. Given this, are you aware of any actions by the developers to address this (apparent?) problem?
When you look at the moon it looks bigger than pin-sized stars, as it should be. What is your idea of 'immensity'? Yes, a galaxy of many stars far away will look very small compared with the size of a planet you are orbiting, look at the Earth from the orbit, it's pretty big. What is exactly the problem that (apparently) not many people are aware of?
Im not sure what you are referring to. But maybe you can chase this down yourself. At really big distances, our binocular vision just doesn't work. Our eyes are too close together and if you are looking at objects that are 100k KMs away, you're not really going to get an sense of depth. So it would be as 'immersive' as a flat screen. This is a physics limitation of how far apart eyes are. Another thing is the way most VR stuff works is there is a "focal depth" to them, for instance PSVR2 is about 6 meters away, this affects how your eyes focus and why people who are nearsited benefit from wearing prescription lens to look at screens an inch from their face. If there's a focal depth, it stands to reason there is a range around it that is optimal for the optics just like real cameras. This is a physics limitation of light. Along with the focal depth and actual physics of light, there is the impacts of what having a "focal depth" could have. Almost like you are staring at an immersive diorama in front of you. Its not static in the traditional shoebox diorama kind of way, its dynamic in that if you move, you are effectively moving this virtual diorama bounding box in front of you. This is a lot like the Real3D films you see in the theater, visually its like the screen is the edge of a stage, and the stage only has so much depth, vs IMax3D which is mostly a flat plane with stuff popping OUT of the screen towards you. This is more of a technical limitation, so there wouldn't really be anything making it impossible to transform the screen to make it better other than taking up WAY too much processing power. So Im not sure if it's any of, or all of these things that affect what you are experiencing, but its a good place to start.
@@mitcherny6965 When mentioning this problem, I am referring, let it be emphasized, solely to the situation of being in outer space, more specifically in the orbit of planets and suns, or close (on an astronomical scale) to other celestial bodies (galaxies, nebulas, etc.), so that we can see them without the need for a telescope. Therefore, the example of the Moon seen from Earth does not count, since we are not in its orbit. With this introduction made, note that your observation is based on the real world and, yes, we see such objects as you described. However, if we observe exactly the same images in VR, the scale of the objects inserted in them decreases significantly, and the impression we have is that these objects are only ten or twenty meters away, and not at astronomical distances in the real world; a bit more, and we could touch them with our hands in VR. Hence the impression of them being mere miniatures, even though they are miniatures the size of a house or a baseball stadium. Everything else in VR works normally regarding scale. I don't know why this happens, but this is the clear impression I have. It is not possible that I am the only one to have this perception.
@@mitcherny6965 Maybe it will become clearer by watching certain clips with planets from the movie "The Little Prince", 1974, (consider only the scale, obviously). The feeling is similar to that.
@@CCat1 Contextually, the observation location must always be outer space, not Earth, and specifically, only planets and suns within their orbits are considered, or other celestial bodies such as galaxies, nebulas etc., when they are nearby (on an astronomical scale!), so that we can see them without the need for a telescope. This is because it is always under these circumstances that the problem resides. Regarding the first paragraph, yes, I understand. But what I see in the context mentioned above, when in VR, is that they are incredibly close, tens of meters away, in this case. As for the second paragraph, I don't understand what focal depth is in the context of VR technology, but I have the intuition that, if so, the problem I am presenting here should occur in other situations outside the exclusive context I mentioned, which I have never observed. In the last paragraph, which also involves technical issues I am not familiar with, you ended up giving an example that I identified with: diorama. But in the specific "landscape" context of the beginning of this text, it's not a shoebox diorama of planets that I see, but a giant diorama of them. I hope with this last observation, I am not confusing more than explaining. Anyway, these are my thoughts on what you presented. Either way, if I am correct in my impressions, I hope the devs will one day resolve this.
I’m wondering what Lone Echo 1 & 2s budget was as I’d consider them in the AAA space in terms of story, quality, and gameplay along with Echo Arena (rip).
If I have to choose between PCVR and standalone on the Quest, PCVR wins. I even prefer playing flatscreen games on my headset as a giant screen over standalone VR. The only games I use the headset for are fitness games, but I still prefer the PCVR versions for better graphics. Plus, PCVR offers faster loading times, easier use of cheats and mods, custom Beat Saber maps, and much cheaper storage-1TB SSDs cost far less than the difference between a Quest with 128 gb or one with 512 gb storage.
Having the PS5 for VR is by far the worst choice, Sure you get some good 4 or 5 games But you miss a ton more, that are only on Quest and PCVR Plus, wire sucks
It's definitely not a bad option. If someone already has a ps5 I'd say it's an easy recommendation if they like the games on it. For someone coming into vr for the first time, the library is fantastic!

The original, non-vr budget for GT7 takes it over and above other racers in terms of content and production value.
good list but you forgot about robo recall that's a classic on PC and now on quest 3 with the qgo it's amazing on there to
Started a new game last week. I forgot how slick and well made this one was.
I would add in Vader immortal if only for the training rooms.
I am looking for the BEST VR set. Obviously searched on TH-cam, but that only made it more difficult, as reviewers contradict themselves. One correctly praises the headset, which the other absolutely denounces. Which one would you recommend me, budget doesn't matter at all, because I'd rather spend more, than buy another one after a month. Thanks for these recommendations of games :) I am an Escape From Tarkov player, so I like realistic shooting games, are there any good games in this genre?
Just played Batman Arkham Shadows its so good looking up at Gotham City is incredible
MSFS 2024 has official VR support so will be probably the most expensive VR game ever released, although with the obvious caveat that it's the PC flatscreen and Xbox communites that make for its existence. Still, it will be what I'm mainly playing through 2025.
Man i hate that Arcana was send to the Bethesda mines, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic and Dishonored would be such great titles if you added some expansions based on what you can do with VR
Uncharted VR gonna go stoopid
I’ve watched two of this guys videos at random and it’s clear that this is a Quest/Meta Love channel. Non-biased reviews are seemingly impossible to find these days. 😅
@@christopherbrunson1232 lol the list has 2 quest games
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 the praise doled is overrated. To down play a visually brilliant game because it’s not on the Quest, then to only do honorable mentions of ONLY QUEST GAMES……. Then, on the third video I just started watching is actually SPONSORED by a game that’s an only on the Quest…. Need I say more? 😂
@christopherbrunson1232 lol I guess you didn't watch the video. 95% of vr games are on the quest. I'm not down playing any games, I'm saying it's a shame more people didn't get to experience it. Those aren't honorable mentions at the end. The topic is biggest budget games, this isn't subjective. There is no opinion here, it's numbers
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 what’s your favorite VR device? 🗣️👂🏽
@christopherbrunson1232 I've owned 17 vr headsets. For years it was the Valve Index but as of right now it's the quest 3. pancake lenses are unbeatable. I thought the top was going to be my bigscreen beyond but that headset has really bad edge to edge clarity. The psvr2 is my second favorite right now but they made some weird decisions
I watched you and Steve Knows video playing the Arizona Sunshine Remake,it was hilarious 😂..y’all made me want to play it in co-op now
@@garrettferrell6821 glad to hear it
I would add assasins creed nexus, very good game
What about Cyberpunk 2077 VR? I mean I guess that would go into the MOD categody, but still.. Half Life 2 VR also..
They are unofficial mods so not funded at all. He's talking about funded AAA VR games. You could count Skyrim, Fallout, MSFS as they all have official ports, although they weren't really funded for VR obviously, and only exist because of the PC and console markets.
Thanks for content that includes games that are not Meta exclusives. Some of us choose not to deal with that company.
Tbh if it wasn't for Meta I don't think VR would have grown as much as it has. I got interested in vr because of quest 3 and so many other people have too.
If q3 is what got you, you missed 8 great years ❤
@@retrostansolo if q3 is what got you. You missed 8 really great years of vr.
@@sYd6point7 i was to into flat screen gaming...lol.
@@sYd6point7 What did he miss?? Other than half life alyx, maybe a modded fallout and skyrim, he has access to most of the titles we have enjoyed in the last 8 years.
And to be honest, has the last 8 years been fun??
There has been alot of waiting for more and better games, and you could say we are still waiting.
The lineup for game releases in the next couple of months are amazing! We have never seen such a great lineup ever in vr, so what better time to join vr??
And now he also can play the old games we played years ago.
I hope he will enjoy all the amazing content he has available now 😊
Thank you for the summary, and commenting for reach and algorithm.
Thanks. Missed Elite Dangerous and No Man's Sky as legitimate ports. Also Flight Simulator. Hitman 3? Assassin's Creed Nexus (not a port)??
So, is PC VR Dead? Is Meta the only one putting money on it? Has Valve given up? Skyrim VR needs a special mention, as vanilla is almost a finger in our faces from Bethesda, but with mods it's amazing. I guess you count TWD Saints and Sinners' and Lone Echo's series as AA?
Did you forget Metro Awakening? I'm not sure how much budget they had but it seems like a AAA VR game, and it comes out soonish
Borderlands 2 and Skyrim VR are fantastic. Have you played them.
Skyrim. Nothing impressed me more and I spent longer playing Skyrim VR than any of the flat screen versions. Sure, that tomb looks cool on flat screen, but in VR the sense of scale is MUCH more impressive. When you look up at some of the architecture in game, you REALLY look up, and it keeps going and you're like "Wow, I did not realize how big this was before!"
It's too bad Fallout 4 VR was such a turd in comparison.
The controls could be better
skyrim vr on pc with madgods overhaul is actually on some future man stuff i didnt know it was possible but you need an insane pc for it especially for mantella which puts gpt 4o into every npc wild stuff
I got the Quest 3s 256 for 399 and I was able to login with my old meta account so I got all my old games. The quest 3 came with batman and one of the two games available this month for quest plus was down the rabbit hole based off alice in wonderland. Pretty cool 😎 👌I thought because I was getting batman that means you have to buy asgards Wrath 2 but it's actually redeemable so that's included which is even cooler
That's how it works
MOH AAB needs optimization for quest 3/S, its not a totally bad game by any means it just needs a bit of love....its a good game.
I hope they made more of medal of honor vr games 🙏
What's the equivalent of Starfox in VR?
Thumbs up Matteo! Thanks for being you and always delivering the VR news
Thai all Games, where i only need the Meta quest for?
you did a great job conveying your love for vr and also explaining why i should get these titles period i didn't know about that wrath game it looks really good. thank you for your hard work and time no extra fluff just information that i wanted subscribed
I like RE 4, RE 8, and GT7 better than Horizon COTM and Asgard 2.
The ports seem to give us virtually the same quality at a fraction of the price.
The problem is sales might not have justified the price to port
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 I don't understand what you mean. RE 4, GT7, and RE Village are #1, #2, and #3 for most sales for PSVR2 games and are made a fraction of the cost.
love the history
I’m wondering what Lone Echo 1 & 2s budget was as I’d consider them in the AAA space in terms of story, quality, and gameplay along with Echo Arena (rip).
incredible games for sure
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 If they could manage to squish LE1&2 onto Quest hardware I would replay them in a heartbeat.
@JonathanOber i believe meta wanted to when they acquired ready at dawn but I think there engine didn't play nice on quest
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 aww, that is sad. Meta gotta make it work. That game series would print money for them.

Another vote for Lone Echo 1 and 2.
I have faith they still working or will work on gta sa vr port really wanted to play it
Who remembers VR before the Quest? They were the good old days, now it’s just lobby after lobby of screaming kids.
Buddy that's how gaming started all those screaming kids are going to grow up to be the adults that we are with flat screen
I wish storm lands would come back on steam
Pulled out my Quest 1 and tried VR again, sure its a cool experience but im too old and unfit to play it anymore lol, 20 minutes and I gave up
Well when into the radius 2 fully releases in 2025 you can add that game to the list
Dont forget Assassins Creed Nexus!!!
If I have to choose between PCVR and standalone on the Quest, PCVR wins. I even prefer playing flatscreen games on my headset as a giant screen over standalone VR. The only games I use the headset for are fitness games, but I still prefer the PCVR versions for better graphics. Plus, PCVR offers faster loading times, easier use of cheats and mods, custom Beat Saber maps, and much cheaper storage-1TB SSDs cost far less than the difference between a Quest with 128 gb or one with 512 gb storage.
it would be nice to get a batman review
Soon
Surprised that oculus space game wasn’t on the list
lone echo, its great and did deserve a spot
Racing sim fans consider Gran Turismo as simcade, not full fledged sim
About time halflife alyx came out for psvr2
It's not gonna be ported. You gotta use the pc adapter.
Having the PS5 for VR is by far the worst choice,
Sure you get some good 4 or 5 games
But you miss a ton more, that are only on Quest and PCVR
Plus, wire sucks
It's definitely not a bad option. If someone already has a ps5 I'd say it's an easy recommendation if they like the games on it. For someone coming into vr for the first time, the library is fantastic!
I think gunman contracts is coming psvr2
Assassins Creed Nexus VR !!!
What about Lone Echo?
Your AAA my brother love your vids

I'm always so saddened that the horizon games are trapped by sony, a company who litterally said vr is a gimmick and that they don't have faith in its long term success.
It's a shame that 5 years later no game matches the quality of Alyx
Cries in LONE ECHO and LONE ECHO 2
wish Fallout 4 VR was made better and maybe it wouldve made the AAA port list.
which is the best and best looking?
Lone echo 1 and Lone Echo 2?
Stormland is definitely better than a lot of triple A titles.
Into the Radius?
No Mans Sky?
Stormland is one of the best games ever. I don't agree with your opinion. BTW: why did you forget about Lone Echo 1/2 ?? And no even small mention about Assasins Creed Nexus? :(
And what about MS Flight Sim, Projest Cars, Skyrim, Fallout, No Mans Sky, Elite Dangerous....
I can't believe that to this day, Half-Life: Alyx is still the best of the best, without that game, I'm not even sure I'd take the plunge to begin with.
HL2 Vr Mod is better.
