Love you guys for doing this. Not only did Liara arc beautifully, but my feelings about her did too. I was sort of annoyed by her in the first game on my first play through but by the 3rd game I loved her. I just needed to see her stick up for herself, yell at some folks, and keep up with Garrus and Wrex' humour and then I was like "This girl is the shit." Also took me a while to realise she's more like me than Shep irl as far as background and views go. For next background episode, would love Garrus or Tali as most folks are saying. I think Garrus more than Tali because although his family is talked about in personal convos, Tali's seems like it is explored much more thoroughly in the main game. I find both personalities super interesting though. Garrus because he's sort of seen as an anomaly amongst Turians yet still gets due praise, Tali because she has a kick ass arc like Liara but I also always had a hard time understanding her motivations. Tali always seemed like she was stifling anger, whereas Liara grew out of it, and Garrus would always just tell you why he was pissed (er... or shoot you if it was already obvious). Similarly I find Miranda and her motivations for loyalty deeply fascinating.

I suspect that Liara knew longer than her being the big information dealer that she becomes that Atheyta was her father. More than likely she ran into her on a few occasions but didn't want to say anything and in Mass Effect 3 she still didn't want to out of fear that her connection to Atheyta would make the Asari Matriarchs send another Asari to spy on her that wasn't sympathetic to her. But Shepard can convince Liara to go and speak to her. Some people speculate that she died in the Cerberus attack on the Citadel but I find that to be BS because a Asari Huntress appears in Purgatory after that which is looking for the Library of Ashra and says that she has Atheyta's backing on finding it and its use to train Asari in the ways of the Huntress. You can't back someone when your dead.
Turrians,Salarians and Humans think Asari look alike them... How the hell did they really look like? I dont mind if they look like Krogans :Y But its strange that nobody ALIVE have found that out yet...

If you only rescue Liara when there is no other way to progress the story in ME1 (aka: after all other required missions) she offers some great dialog when you do rescue her.
Jonathan Jones the douche with the stupid katana who allowed a terminally ill drell stop him from reaching his target? Stabbing him in the gut with an omnitool was so god damned satisfying!
Tali is bae (even in the first game she just doesn't know it yet), Garrus is ma bro (comes with me on all the final missions) everyone else is awesome but them two are DA BEST!!

Personally I'm not the biggest Liara fan (don't hate or like her) and I never bought her be able to take the Shadow Brokers job at least not within the Timespane giving between ME1 and ME2, then again I don't buy the whole Shadow Broker (a suppose neutral force in the galaxy) working with the collectors while Cerberus is trying to revive Shepard even though their leader is under control by the Reapers for close 30 years. still nice video.
I think her character is too convenient. They have thousand of years to live, I do not believe a race that live that long would change from an innocent "child-like" archeologist into a "ready-to-kill" type of character in just a few years. Then again, I've never read the comic, so I might not know the whole story.
It's definitely worth a read, just to learn more about her but you're spoilt for choice when it comes to characters in the extended universe so you if Liara isn't interesting, there so many other stories to explore :-)
