Los Feliz Time Capsule Murder Mansion - Version ObsoleteOddity

I present the case of Dr. Harold Perelson, who on the night of December 6, 1959, in a mansion that sits on a Los Feliz hilltop in Los Angeles, struck his wife to death with a hammer, severely beat his 18-year-old daughter, and then ended his own life using a concoction of water, acid, and tranquillizer pills.
I try to create through narration, music and images the tension of that night, and the still, decaying eeriness of the mansion in present times - which lay untouched for 50 years.
Many thanks to Alexis for graciously allowing her images to be used in this presentation.

I watch these presentations at least 2 to 3 times. The first time to get the meat of the story and a second time to savor the pictures (and delightful embellishments). The third is to combine both in their entirety. I even revisit my favorites to relish Oddie's unique style of story telling! Much thanks to all those who help make these happen.

I used to jog by this place daily, and the Frank Lloyd Wright above. Didn't known about it then. Once I stumbled upon it online, I became intrigued. I watched a few of the videos. But then, one of them, as played on my computer, started going frame by frame just as there was a scene inside of the bedroom, by the window. The sun was coming through and I saw a ghost of a woman who turned ghoulish!!!

Although the masochist in me is still wanting to go. I truly live like 5 mins away by car. I'm tempted every night I take my dog for a walk (I have a hobby of going to see houses at night, Victorian or Tudor houses preferably, so I already went to places such as the "charmed" TV series house, which is on the same street as MJs "thriller" music video haunted house, the Houdini mansion (more like ruins), the Sharon Tate/Manson family murder house, the house in the hills from the movie "wonderland" and others...so most likely, knowing myself, my silly butt will be heading over there DESPITE what the woman who went said 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
If anyone knows of any 'measures' I could take to somewhat protect myself...let me know. I mean, hell, I survived the Manson family murder house so it can't be worse right?! I probably sound like I'm being facetious but I'm completely serious btw lol

I love the little "add-ins" in your videos! The UFO over New York (I can almost hear John Lennon watching it). The "Oddies Crinolines"? And the birds...not seagulls but black birds! You're a regular Alfred Hitchcock with your videos! I always look forward to them!! The creepy little cockroaches make my skin crawl lol. And Los Feliz is near Griffith Park which is said to be haunted. This one's a fave for sure! Thanks for the upload! I'm a native Californian and am sure I've never heard of this story before. I've been watching so many of your videos back to back and forgotten to like them, as I have them on autoplay. I have to admit that I mostly listen to them while falling asleep and I'm still able to get the entire story while half in and out of slumber or else I wake and replay the parts I've missed. I believe I've even had a dream that intertwined with one of them but I have trouble remembering it, like I often do.
It really appears that I don't want to sleep at all and I'm not sure how healthy this is for me, but I'm simply addicted. Perhaps it takes me back to my childhood of sleepovers with my cousins, and horror tales told at bedtime. It was a delightful time in my life.

I'm a little late, but I wanted to say I love your videos. They're so interesting and the small edits you make to the photographs add a charming touch. And like so many others have mentioned, your voice is just perfect for narration.
On a bit of a personal note, I've been going through a bit of a rough patch these past few months since my boyfriend was deployed overseas. I used to listen to your videos on the drive down to his place. When I'm really missing him, I'll pop on one of your videos. They help to make the difficult nights a little less lonely. Thank you for sharing these stories, I hope you continue to do so!

I have wearily contacted creator support yesterday - the latest video
they have demonetised, is this one - Los Feliz Time
capsule mansion. There is absolutely nothing gory or offensive in that
video; I purposely made it to not fall foul of YT's criteria...but sadly
their criteria is absolutely baffling, and they never say what content
      is the problem.
Sorry to hear you're feeling the lonesome blues, I hope you boyfriend comes back soon.
The advantage nowadays is skype and facetime, etc. - I wish that had been around when I was young.
      All the best!

little jack So truly and well said. From my first look I was caught, it was like finding a perfect diamond at the bottom of a pail of sludge. I know other content providers who are trying to up their game and improve their skills, but our Oddie has that extra something special that can’t be acquired...it is simply inherent, and he actually uses it. So happy when I see another who gets it. In a very ephemeral world, where people are on to the next thing before the current one is finished, Oddie is unique...an artist whose works require more than one viewing/experiencing. 🖤🇨🇦

The doctor might have been close to a genius, but, darned, was he a freaking coward or what? If every man with a family who encounters financial problems resorted to killing his family, I think half of the population of the world would be dead. SMH
Anyway, it is a shame that because of his cowardice he has made this house obsolete, such a beautiful Spanish/Californian architecture, just the outside is absolutely beautiful. I'm not thinking it will ever be lived in though. The land will be sold, because the location is just phenomenal, but most likely, the new owners will tear it down and build one of these square, modern, lots of glass and concrete, soulless houses all the nouveau riche find so beautiful. No one appreciates old architecture anymore...sob...then again, I don't believe in things going bump in the night, even though I myself have experienced events which I know many others would consider proof there is something more than what we see. I can't help it if my mind is always looking for the rational explanation. But, I would never live in a house where any tragedy has transpired, who knows what the energy might be? Why make life even more problematic than it already is? As always Mr. Obsolete, or should I call you Oddi, great job.

Yes. But look at the difference today in fatherhood. It was and still is completely stressful being the ONLY breadwinner. I saw it with my own father who wasn't a very good father, yet today, stress free he's the best💜 Still, murder is no out- and no excuse!
