Jerry is an American treasure. I have been following him for years, and he never ceases to amaze!
Well that is just about as good as music gets. I am pretty sure that Duane is smiling down on this and saying, "Hell Yeah!".

I really like Jerry Douglas's playing, but Leo Kottke's cover of this tune is my favorite out of all the ones I've heard. The first Jerry Douglas record I bought was called Slide Rule, it's a good one, with lots of great guest artists being featured. I also really really like the "Skip Hop and Wobble" record, which has strong jazz, classical and Eastern music influences.
This guy is fucking awesome, one of the true masters of his craft. Live well and long, Jerry !

Yes, just as the New York Times say, Mr. Dougles is a master of the Dobro. Theres othes fine dobro players out there but Jerry tops them all.Mr Dougles I salute you.

well that's good eating the last few years for Jerry it seems. looks like a big old Harley biker dude till he picks up those steel guitars and the magic is still there.. awesome performance of skydogs classic song. yeah we're getting old and we're getting fat aren't we.. look at myself in the early 90s pictures inside wow 30 years of really changed

Buz Butler I am curious about your comment about the guitar being repaired. Please expand on that. Also, do you know what pickup he’s using at the neck? I want to amplify my Dobro but I’m overwhelmed with choices. Thanks for any feedback.
