Brown has been my dream ever since I first step foot on campus. The energy, community and of course the curriculum get me so excited about the school. (Ive probably chewed all my friends ears off with all the rants of how much I love brown). As an applicant watching this video, I was so excited to get an insight on what a day in the life is for a student, as I couldn’t really get this personal level of understanding from just being on a campus tour. Thank you for this video!
Love your series, but please, please PLEASE work on your audio! It's either impossible to hear because of very loud "background" music or because of a bad microphone, or maybe you just place it in a wrong place? It's usually hard to understand the people you're interviewing and basically that should be your no. 1 priority, right?
Hey! Do you wanna know how is a day in a latin-american student is a country that is a mess? I´m from Venezuela and I study at the Simón Bolívar University. Thinks here are many different than in other places, I think it would be very interesting if you wanna have an interview with us for your channel. The people need to know how we live and what we do for it.
OMG I want to be a mathematician when I’m older and hopefully work with NASA in the future with calculating reaching and launching. This video was really helpful,my dream school is Harvard,Stanford,Oxford,Columbia,or Princeton
I love you all's videos on top colleges, the music selection in this specific video was awesome! Lloyd was perfect, you all should come to Georgia and make a video!
i look forward to a day in life of an architecture student - working in studio day and night lol. But since architecture student's life is quite different from those taking other majors it would actually be quite helpful
I want to go to brown so bad, not because it's an ivy but because of the curriculum. Honestly getting accepted to a school with an open curriculum would be more than enough for me.
This really hit home with me because I'm a 4th year applied mathematics major currently as well. One thing that is unfortunate about most STEM classes at UCLA (same applies to Berkeley) is the fact that each class is run under a strict grade distribution. Thus, regardless of class size, only 25% are subject to A's, 25% B's, etc. In my experience it's just been very competitive and there have been times where I didn't really enjoy the subject matter but instead was just always worried about doing everything possible to be above the curve. Another negative is that most (not all) professors are really there for research and have very limited office hours. There have been times where I never got to talk to a professor one-on-one since their availability was very limited. Since UCLA is a public school, the overall undergraduate population is almost 3x that of Brown. All in all, after hearing about this particular student's daily schedule and how professors accommodate to your particular academic interests, it just made me feel as if this may have been the better choice for me, personally. Plus it's a semester system so you actually have a reasonable amount of time to fully digest everything you're learning in all of your classes.
