I am not a lover of Diesel locomotives..however I am simply in awe of this spectacular layout's attention to detail.I could watch this for hours on end.
I spent enough years in Signal Boxes to give you 10/10. Parts on the log straight put me in mind of the line between Singleton & Weeton, on the Blackpool Nth-Preston route. When you can make viewers think that - you're getting it right.
I dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Kameron Turner Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and im trying it out now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Quite a while since there has been a video here, but thank you. Most welcome to see such a great railway. I thought the exhaust from the A4 and Class 37 particularly spectacular, in fact first time I have seen such realistic smoke in a model. Well done and I hope we get to see more soon. Thanks for sharing with us all.
First time I have seen any of your videos , Great layout and very realistic. i had to double check at some bits to make sure it was not the real thing. loved and subbed
What a wonderful layout and your coverage of most of the Era's. I am looking for another Deltic to go with the Lima one I have. (Yes, I did carry out the conversion) I just love the synchronized smoke, not only from the steam, but Diesels as well. Great job. Martin (Dhaka, Bangladesh.)
Think you need to call the armed forces as there’s a peeping giant loose @ 3.29 mins 😆 Great running session though mate and loved the smoke effects especially from the diesel 👍
@2:10 For me, one of the sound of the Scottish Highlands, hearing the echo of Class 37s slowly winding their way around the mountains near Tyndrum (upper and lower)
Constructive criticism (no trolling). The A4 needs plumes of smoke on the start away from the station, it looks like it’s coasting on the start then when it’s behind the wall crawling along it just doesn’t look right. The carriage lighting is too bright for daytime running and the track or pickups need to be better. The 37 is awesome, absolutely spot on terrific just a bit of weathering and it’s perfect. The Deltic engine room lights are a great idea but again too bright for daytime running. The layout is great, captivating and interesting. As I said at the start, there is no trolling here, I’m in genuine admiration and I hear and now state my own efforts would not come close to what you have achieved.
As much as I like this video and model trains, and this is good, my one major concern and comment is that by the look of things scale wise, it looked as though the class 37 was moving off too quickly over the points and when pulling away from the platform.
Amazingly realistic. That class 37 smoke was fantastic. The sound modules are very realistic. Do you mind if i ask what type of sound modules you used. ?
Excellent video and very good diesel sound. Can you tell me what decoder those locomotives have? I enjoyed seeing the layout and the sounds. Congratulations. Best regards.
+Greg Palmer The Mk1s are Heljan and are plastic rather than brass, in time there will be a full rake of kit built Mk1s in blue grey, but currently not enough hours in the day for the builder!
+overpeover Ah thats why, I read somewhere that they had got the (tumblehome ?) wrong if thats the case, cheers thanks for the reply, again fantastic layout toss up between yours and the other guy's (Pete Waterman) layout which one is the best !
What are we looking at here; I can't quite work it out! is this O gauge or the camera work using a Quality camera? Either way the result is impressive. ⭐⭐🌞🌞✔✔😀😀
Remarkable smoke effects. How did you achieve them, in each of the steam and diesel styles? No deltic yet? Can you make the smoke blacker or whiter? And the engine-room lighting is so impressive. I must subscribe, and then trawl your archives for how-to's for these things. Regards, Tom
The synchronised smoke are ESU products, but they are not plug and play taking a lot of effort to make them perform like this. A Deltic is in the workshops . So far we have been unable to colour the smoke, by doing so it would leave additional residue in the units and cause them to fail.
In the mid to late 1980s the BR depots put emblems on their locos, ie the locos that were based at that TMD. Stratford's had a (cockney) sparrow, Thornaby had a kingfisher and Eastfield had the Scottie Dog. The emblems were white to start off with, but then became coloured and finally metal plaques.
I am not a lover of Diesel locomotives..however I am simply in awe of this spectacular layout's attention to detail.I could watch this for hours on end.
It defies belief how brilliantly realistic this layout is.
Utterly Amazing! I lived in Over Peover and never realised I could access these wonderful trains.
Wow ..spectacular...fantastic ..realism ..atmosphere ..atmosphere nd size ..
We all dream of a layout like this..
Well done ...
Beautiful! No wires to spoil the landscape. Great trackage!
Yes!! Wonderful trackage: a sight to drool over!!!!!!!!!!!
The most realistic smoke implementation I've seen - not completely overdone like most models. Nice.
I spent enough years in Signal Boxes to give you 10/10. Parts on the log straight put me in mind of the line between Singleton & Weeton, on the Blackpool Nth-Preston route. When you can make viewers think that - you're getting it right.
What a brilliant layout, and a fantastic smoke effect! Cheers, Dan
Outstanding layout and locomotive sound! That Class 37 is incredible!
Fantastic layout with some great locos. Love the prototype Deltic. Rick M
One of the best railway uploads and most serious attention to realism I've seen here. Love those Deltics and 37's.
Great layout.

Very cool Martin!
That is the best trackwork I've ever seen. Fabulous layout.
I'm not usually a fan of sound fitted layouts but that is seriously impressive
That layout is amazing! I especially love the Class 37.
Looks really good, the smoke really makes it look more 'real'
Superb detailing and beautiful locomotives... Thanks!
Tis wonderess, live in Donny myself now (Donny rovers sign) owl myself grew up next to Tinsley yard dad worked there, can't stop watching
Great layout, congratulations for your video.
Very inspiring, love the trackwork.
Bleffant de réalisme. Superbe. On y croie.

Looks like an epic layout! Great footage!
Amazing layout that is outstanding love the detail and love the trains

Excellent, the best I've heard so far, beautiful layout, look at that pollution pumping out of those diesel motors. LOL.
Fantastic. Well done. Really nice
Absolutely beautiful layout
Great track!
That looks so good on them.
Can you get the smoke to smell grimy as opposed to baby oil / lavender etc.? Seriously this is magnificent- I recommend the book too 👍
A real joy to see. Thanks.
Is this O scale, do we know?

John of the North )
Excellent layout, for some reason those mark 1s dont look right ? could just be the camera angles etc. but the tumblehome doesnt look right?

I like the realistic emergency stop at 8.10
Fantastic and atmospheric
Good layout, but where is all the rubbish strewn about, York station is filthy, assuming all UK stations are the same.
With smokey exhaust on the 37, i hoped the deltics would have had it too.
Superb that 👌👍
Stunning

Superb layout is it club or private
How is the smoke made and how do install
HATS OFF, SIR :)
Superb! - Thanks.
Looks great
The semaphore signals on this layout are they scratch built and the signal box?
What's the smoke unit that's installed in the Class 37 - is it a commercially available unit or has it been scratchbuilt ? Thank you.
What's the significance of the dog on the 37? Seen them on the real thing on TH-cam vids and have wondered for ages!
Greyfriar's Bobby? Certainly on Scottish ones.BTW- Us Signalmen were ALL called Bobby haha.
its a scot rail livery denotes which part of Scotland it come from the lowland region highland region engines have a stag painted on them
Scottie dog for Scotrail
