Stand arrow theory: Kira's resolve to no longer be in fear of his pursuers and to not flee Moriah, some how drew the arrow to him like a magnet. Same with Giorno and the Requiem arrow. The arrows are drawn to the strongest will.

my hobby is not talking if you have read part 6 well I’m not spoiled if u haven’t read it but the main villain of part 6 in a flashback was stabbed by the same beetle arrow but he didn’t get a requiem stand he just gain a stand so that means that the beetle arrow works just the same as the regular arrows the reason why the beetle arrows were so important because polarnff stand get stabbed by the arrow same with goiorno but with Kira the arrow stabs him and not the stand and keep in mind these arrows came from the same meteor as explained in part five but the person who made the meteor into arrows thought only one arrow was worth of something powerful so that’s why it has a beetle on it then the other arrows diavolo gave popo a regular stand arrow it’s because they need new stand users for their gang diavolo knows how to get a requiem it’s just that he thought only the arrow with the beetle he can achieve this

Gold Experience Requiem’s life-giving abilities were also amped up as well. This never happens with Killer Queen, I mean hell, its appearance doesn’t change at all. Arrows in general just give your Stand another ability that they need in that specific moment when pierced by one a second time. Technically Hayato didn't revive. After Kira got Bites the Dust, time was rewinded to the morning of that day, and Hayato wasn't dead at that moment. Joseph is a bit different. He was clinically dead for 10 minutes and then "revived" after receiving DIO's blood and having his heart restarted, something impossible or very unlikely to happen, since an average human body in that condition can only last 4 minutes before their brain dies from lack of blood supply (then again, a Stand User usually isn't a Mr Normal McAverage)
I love how Kira’s father is just a man who deeply cares for his son, while Josuke’s father is literally a senile old man with breathing powers and FOUGHT AZTEC GODS with said powers, that also crashed multiple airplanes.
I genuinely feel bad for Kira in this scene. Sitting there half-naked in the bathroom, biting away at his nails, panicking and not knowing what to do, knowing there's like half a dozen guys closing in on him that want him dead, his peaceful life crumbling around him. He's a crazy serial killer, and I still feel bad for him. This is a good show.

Considering how the idea of requiem arrows were fully fleshed out in part 5, Araki must’ve been in the developmental stages of having a arrow pierce a stand. To me, I’d consider this as kira getting a requiem stand because he got a ability to suit his needs in that moment similar to giorno who wanted to defeat diavolo. Sure it was a normal arrow that stabbed the user and not the stand and killer queen did not change its appearance as well, but I suspect that’s not due to the arrow not being a requiem but bc Araki probably hadn’t fully developed the idea of requiem arrows during part 4 and wanted to begin exploring it then. If you want the idea of Canon, then at 3:06 you can kinda see his stand getting stabbed as well since he may have tried to manifest it then for protection. My opinion? Yea he got the requiem treatment
My theory is that normal stand arrows can give an already existing stand a new ability based off its previous abilities. It won’t completely change the stand but rather just add something to it
I feel this is one of the best scenes in part 4, the music used, Kira biting his nails trying to think through it, and his father trying to help really makes this an incredible scene

All these people being dumb talking about requiem arrows and how Killer Queen doesn't become a requiem. What we see here is 100% the beginning of Araki's idea for the requiem mechanic, it's just not fully fleshed out yet. It is boundlessly clear that Araki doesn't plan out anything in advance, just look at both DIO and Erina somehow escaping on the same coffin. People can argue that the arrow looks different in this part than it did in that part, well guess what Araki's art style has drastically changed since the series started. It would be like saying Polnareff in part 5 isn't the same Polnareff in part 3 because he was drawn different. It's really dumb when people argue this stuff. Bites the Dust is 100% the beginning of the Requiem mechanic.
To me, it's totally dependent on WHO gets shot with the arrow a second time. If it's the user then the Stand gets a new ability but if it's the Stand itself then it'll be drastically change. Might as well explain about Black Sabbath stabbing Gold Experience with its Arrow but didn't work IMO, probably because the Arrow is just a replica of the one that Diavolo gave for Polpo which granted his Stand, it has the functions but not the whole package (AKA Requiem).
For something to be considered a requiem stand, it must be pierced by that special arrow. But apparently getting pierced twice gives you twice the stands, which is the ultimate bull.
HEHEHE I IZ A SUPAH STAH 『STANDO』 the Requiem arrow has its own design unique from all the others. It may have been an oversight, but the Requiem arrow seems to be specific and creates essentially a new stand whereas a normal arrow will give an existing stand a new ability, the drawback being that it is less overwhelming than a requiem ability
To explain it if no one has already: This isnt a requiem stand, but its pretty similar. If the arrow chooses you AGAIN, you gain a new ability that's pretty good and it's really what you want at the time. If you're stabbed by a requiem arrow and already have a stand, your stand does a powerful thing for however long it has the arrow. You cant even control it, like how Giorno doesnt know what happened to Diavolo and how Polnareff couldn't control Silver Chariot Requiem.
It's an early concept for a Requiem Stand. The three conditions for that is to have ANY of the stand arrows, must be chosen to have a Requiem and the arrow has to touch the stand
Have you noticed that the arrow is attracted by those with a strong will from the bottom of their heart ? Kira had Bites the Dust when he wanted to go back and kill anyone who knew his identity. Polnareff had Silver Chariot Requiem to protect the arrow at all cost and give it at the only one he trusted, Jotaro. Giorno had Gold Experience Requiem when he wanted something keeping the reality of his fallen comrades' actions. Finally, (BIG SPOILERS !), Pucci had Whitesnake because he wanted to revive her sister's memory

Just because Jotaro stops time doesn't mean Star Platinum Requiem would have anything to do with time. *[SPOILER ALERT]* Silver Chariot's ability is literally stabbing things really good but SC:Reqiuem can switch peoples souls. Golden Experience can imbue things with life but his requiem can erase the results of an action. Requiem abilities aren't related to your stand. They're related to your goal. Polnareff wanted to get the arrow away from Diavolo (and probably get it to Jotaro) so his Requiem is all about getting the arrow away from Diavolo. Even going as far as to switch peoples souls to get Diavolo further away from it and distract him. Giorno wanted to stop Diavolo. Since Diavolo's ability was about skipping past the actions and getting nothing but results, GER gained the ability to erase results. His ability was made to specifically deal with Diavolo.
A little correction Piercing yourself with the stand arrow gives you a stand Piercing yourself again with the stand arrow gives you an extra ability Piercing your stand with the requiem arrow gives you requiem
It’s been 3 years but just incase people still don’t get it.. Killer queen bites the dust is *not* a requiem stand. Kira himself was pierced by the arrow, not his stand, thus not transforming his stand, but giving him a new ability. Silver chariot and Golden Experience were pierced by the arrow, thus changing its appearance, and giving it a new ability. The requiem arrow gives a chosen user what they most need or want at that moment, for example: Kira wanting to be able to cover his tracks and make it so the protagonists can’t find him, the arrow grants him the ability to go back in time 30min. Polnareff wanting to live on and get the arrow away from Diavolo, the arrow lets chariot make souls switch bodies and make sure Diavolo cannot achieve requiem status. Giorno, wanting to defeat all seeing Diavolo, the arrow gives him a dumb op ability to reset time and make it so Diavolo cannot predict what is to come. I believe Kira has achieved requiem status, but KQ is not a requiem stand, as its appearance does not change.
You know, they totally missed the opportunity of Kira chewing kanji or hiragana characters in his nails. Though I don't know if it was in this part of the manga or in the final arc.

Seeing as it wasn't the stand which was stabbed and it was Kira, this makes sense (yes, KQ did flash over him but that could be down to either him trying to protect himself or it could just be showing that his stand was changing)
This is proof that people who don’t get their stand from the arrow can use it to get a near req/better version of their stand witch means they can then use the req arrow making them have the most potential of anyone

Considering how the idea of requiem arrows were fully fleshed out in part 5, Araki must’ve been in the developmental stages of having a arrow pierce a stand. To me, I’d consider this as kira getting a requiem stand because he got a ability to suit his needs in that moment similar to giorno who wanted to defeat diavolo.
Sure it was a normal arrow that stabbed the user and not the stand and killer queen did not change its appearance as well, but I suspect that’s not due to the arrow not being a requiem but bc Araki probably hadn’t fully developed the idea of requiem arrows during part 4 and wanted to begin exploring it then. If you want the idea of Canon, then at 3:06 you can kinda see his stand getting stabbed as well since he may have tried to manifest it then for protection. My opinion? Yea he got the requiem treatment

My theory is that normal stand arrows can give an already existing stand a new ability based off its previous abilities. It won’t completely change the stand but rather just add something to it

All these people being dumb talking about requiem arrows and how Killer Queen doesn't become a requiem. What we see here is 100% the beginning of Araki's idea for the requiem mechanic, it's just not fully fleshed out yet. It is boundlessly clear that Araki doesn't plan out anything in advance, just look at both DIO and Erina somehow escaping on the same coffin. People can argue that the arrow looks different in this part than it did in that part, well guess what Araki's art style has drastically changed since the series started. It would be like saying Polnareff in part 5 isn't the same Polnareff in part 3 because he was drawn different. It's really dumb when people argue this stuff. Bites the Dust is 100% the beginning of the Requiem mechanic.

Might as well explain about Black Sabbath stabbing Gold Experience with its Arrow but didn't work IMO, probably because the Arrow is just a replica of the one that Diavolo gave for Polpo which granted his Stand, it has the functions but not the whole package (AKA Requiem).

It may have been an oversight, but the Requiem arrow seems to be specific and creates essentially a new stand whereas a normal arrow will give an existing stand a new ability, the drawback being that it is less overwhelming than a requiem ability

This isnt a requiem stand, but its pretty similar. If the arrow chooses you AGAIN, you gain a new ability that's pretty good and it's really what you want at the time.
If you're stabbed by a requiem arrow and already have a stand, your stand does a powerful thing for however long it has the arrow. You cant even control it, like how Giorno doesnt know what happened to Diavolo and how Polnareff couldn't control Silver Chariot Requiem.

With a little planning, Bites The Dust could have absolutely been a Requiem Stand. It fits nearly every description of one.
It's an early concept for a Requiem Stand. The three conditions for that is to have ANY of the stand arrows, must be chosen to have a Requiem and the arrow has to touch the stand

Silver Chariot's ability is literally stabbing things really good but SC:Reqiuem can switch peoples souls. Golden Experience can imbue things with life but his requiem can erase the results of an action.
Requiem abilities aren't related to your stand. They're related to your goal. Polnareff wanted to get the arrow away from Diavolo (and probably get it to Jotaro) so his Requiem is all about getting the arrow away from Diavolo. Even going as far as to switch peoples souls to get Diavolo further away from it and distract him.
Giorno wanted to stop Diavolo. Since Diavolo's ability was about skipping past the actions and getting nothing but results, GER gained the ability to erase results. His ability was made to specifically deal with Diavolo.

Killer queen bites the dust is *not* a requiem stand.
Kira himself was pierced by the arrow, not his stand, thus not transforming his stand, but giving him a new ability.
Silver chariot and Golden Experience were pierced by the arrow, thus changing its appearance, and giving it a new ability.
The requiem arrow gives a chosen user what they most need or want at that moment, for example:
Kira wanting to be able to cover his tracks and make it so the protagonists can’t find him, the arrow grants him the ability to go back in time 30min.
Polnareff wanting to live on and get the arrow away from Diavolo, the arrow lets chariot make souls switch bodies and make sure Diavolo cannot achieve requiem status.
Giorno, wanting to defeat all seeing Diavolo, the arrow gives him a dumb op ability to reset time and make it so Diavolo cannot predict what is to come.
I believe Kira has achieved requiem status, but KQ is not a requiem stand, as its appearance does not change.

Kira Yoshikage himself is the Requiem... That's why his stand stays the same yet he gains a powerful ability and his appearance changes. Same results slightly different method.
Seeing as it wasn't the stand which was stabbed and it was Kira, this makes sense (yes, KQ did flash over him but that could be down to either him trying to protect himself or it could just be showing that his stand was changing)
